I've been counting. And its harder than it sounds. Remember my beloved series that I keep going on about? the one under construction and severe editing that I put up anyway?
Well, once upon a time, in March 2006 actually, there was only one book. And whatever name I gave to the country was just plain stupid. There were no complications, just your basic parallel worlds theory at its simplest. Then, there were two, then three, and then before I knew it there were seven. It seems like my mind had this pre-planned, because seven seemed very satisfactory to me. Especially since Ametris's magic number seems to be seven.
But I didn't stop there; now I'm not quite sure how many there are. Let me see...
14 is a very good estimation. There are some of the extras that are crap, and there are some that I refuse to let go of. They're just there to help me understand my own world better--I always have trouble leaving people guessing, unless I have to.
Has anyone ever heard of Brian Jacques? That man is the greatest; he has about 20 books in one series and has no intention of stopping. Of course, maybe he should; the more he publishes, the worse the books get. The writer's first book is never his best, nor is his last. But still, I admire him for that. I don't think I could maintain that kind of thing, but then again, maybe I can. I have at least eight solid story ideas, plus one good story that is completely unrelated, but doesn't have to be for long.
Well, it was becoming something of a problem; I have six countries, and each book is named after a country. The seventh book was going to have some very creative kind of name, but the eight just doesn't fit. I mean, it's fantastic and all, (it's the one in Works titles "Kirby's Millionth novel", which it is,) but there's no room for it.
This is turning into a ramble...
The point is, I need to find something to do with all these random story ideas. They're cluttering my brain X.x lo siento, mi cerebro...

I Believe Brian Jacques is way over 20 novels in the Redwall series. For I have read many of them and do agree he needs to stop. I read them all the time when I was younger and I "tried" to read on of his newer ones.. and was unable too. And that is unbelievable to me, for I used to fly through his books.
Bot sure what to say about your book ideas though. But I do suggest writting down the raw ideas, incase that short tension span of yours forgets it. xp

Some people just don't know when to give up. gonk too much for poor Kirby's head, this is. I do write them down, though. Especially the ones that, in some way, have to do with my two favorite characters. Like the one I have in works, the one that just won't fit. crying

Do short drabbles. ^^ I heart the idea of drabbles. Little itty bitty excerpts of crack STUCK IN YOUR HEAD. Make them pretty short-- only 3-5 pages at most. It helps get it out of your head and onto paper.. or the screen.
I heart drabbles muchlie. Goooodsend.

I do that a lot, but I can't help but expand on them...you know, plan sentences and events, even though I know they're no good. They're spamming up my computer. crying
