The day was new and the sun was just above the horizon. Like the orange-red of the sky, one small figure stood out nicely amongst a small group of trees. Curled up, with her paws beneath her, was an adolescent cheetah. She was dozing somewhere between sleep and wakefulness, her purple eyes half closed as she stared off in the distance. Chuakari was happy, and comfortable. Hasidi was not around, and she was partially aware of it in her doze, but she knew he'd be back. She'd finally decided she didn't want him to leave, and it was a strange feeling for her.
As she started to get ready to wake, her tail swayed behind her.

 Kikahawia'Kikavu found himself in strange lands but now as the male thought about it, it was only natural since almost everywhere was strange lands to him. That was beside the point though, he was quite happy just running off into random places and now was no different.
Slowing down he kept a pace as to not strain his own heart if he had stopped just suddenly. Gradually he slowed down until he stopped. "Huff....I....huff....should....huff.....find....huff...some...huff...water" His words were distorted as he took breaths in between. As he walked he noticed something pink.
Paying little attention to it he contiuned to walk before he glanced back. 'Pink?!' He thought to himself obviously confused 'What in the world could be that pink!?' Walking over to it he tilted his head. Not recognizing it as a female Cheetah.
"Couldja, well tell me what the heck you are and why in heavens name are you pink?!"

Chuakari's ears twitched as she caught signs of someone nearing, someone strange. After blinking a couple times, her eyes opened and she lifted her head up- just in time to see the other cheetah spot her and get a strange, confused expression.
"What?" she murmured, caught off guard by his questioning. She even took a second to look over herself, as if she also didn't know what she was. The daze passed and she shook her head, "I'm a cheetah, and.. I just am pink." Her tone was completely devoid of sarcasm, she was merely answering his question- she wanted to make a good impression.

Kikahawia'Kikavu was still confused by her anwser. This female in front of him was a cheetah? He had never seen a pink cheetah before in his life so it was obvious why he was confused "But.....but...."
He was at a loss for words, this was obviously something that didn't happen to him everyday. "If your a cheetah where are your spots? Don't all cheetahs have spots?" Kika's head was spinning because of this and he couldn't make heads or tails of any of it.
"Still your just pink? Thats it? Huh....well...." The cheetah trailed off at a loss for words.

Kari frowned inwardly at the confusion she was causing, merely by existing as a pink, spotless cheetah. She was well aware of how strange she looked for a cheetah, but few had really bothered to point it out lately. Besides, she thought Hasidi liked it.
"I don't have any spots," she answered quietly and honestly. She didn't want to be confusing, not at all. "I'm sorry!" she cried, wincing inwardly.

Instantly realizing he had caused the other some sort of pain the lowered his head ashamed of himself. "I apologize miss, for causing you any discomfort." Kika told her his voice softer and less agressive.
"I have not met many of my own kind, actually I know little of any of the other speices, so obviously I was shocked to find one of my own kind to be a unnatural color and to be spotless." The tanish colored cheetah paused there to take a breath or two before continuing on with his sentence, or paragraph. "There is nothing wrong with it of course it was just a little surpising. Once again I apologize."

When the other cheetah realized the worry he'd caused her, Kari went further into panic mode. She didn't want him to feel bad about it, either. This was a terribly confusing mess they were in! To try to make up for it, she pulled her legs from beneath her and stood up- rather wobbly in her hurry.
"Don't apologize," she answered, biting her lip, "I didn't mean it like that- I-" Finally she cut herself off, realizing this wasn't going to help her. She shook her head, and cleared her throat.
"I'm Chuakari," she introduced herself politely, "I've not met many other cheetahs either, but you're in the right place to see more. This is Duma'bara land, it's all cheetahs." Except for Hasidi, but Hasidi wasn't a member of the coalition. Kari wasn't even sure he would be allowed to stay.

"Ah!" Kika started to say in reply but then stopped if he said anything more it would probably make things worse so he kept his maw shut until she introduced herself then he said "My name is Kikahawia'Kikavu, but since its so long just call me Kika, Okay?" He said with a smile on his face.
"I must say it is both an honor and a pleasure to met you Miss Chuakari, its not every day one comes upon one such as yourself." Yes this cheetah had to resort to flatterly it was the only thing he knew how to do well.

Unfortunately, Kari was also practiced in flattery, though not so elegantly. His would not necessarily get quite the reaction some might give. She nodded along to his name, pleased that she was offered some shortened version to call him by- it would make things a lot easier, she wasn't even sure she could repeat the full name hearing it only once. And asking him to repeat it might not have been a good thing, you never know.
"Kika, then," she smiled at him, "You can call me Kari if you like, it's shorter too. And thank you, you're very nice. You'd fit in nice if you met the other cheetahs here."

"Kari? Thats very pretty," Kika told her thoughtfully "How long have you been here in these lands?" The male cheetah looked about him surveying the land around them. It looked plesant enough, but that didn't mean it was a place he'd want to stay.
"I wouldn't mind meeting more Cheetahs, but I'm not to sure this is a place I'd like to stay, I need to see more of the world." He paused right there not realizing he was babbling on and on. "Have you ever got this feeling?"

"Thank you," she said gratefully, glancing downward briefly. Her gaze moved back up when he questioned her, and she shifted her weight a bit to be more comfortable before answering, "I've been here since I was a cub, but I wasn't born here." It was the truth, she'd been born outside of the Duma'bara lands but later found by one of the coalition members who brought her back. She'd not been accepted, though, until she was older and managed to meet another cheetah.
"I-" she hesitated answering the question. Kika might be happier if she could relate to him somehow, and though she was content to stay or go she would not tell him so.
"Yes, I've felt like that before.." she trailed off, sounding sincere but thoughtful.

"Y'know you don't have to answer my questions if you don't want to, I won't be offended promise." Kika told her in his calm, cool, and possibly reasurring voice, or atleast what he hopped to be reasuring. He studied her carefully before saying "That must have been lucky for you, since you do like it here if I'm not mistaken."
His tail moved back and forth as the listened to every word she had to say. "Its a fun thing to do so I suppose that's why I can't pin myself down to one place."

"Nono, I don't mind answering questions," Kari assured him in return, though she was relieved to hear that he wouldn't be offended by unanswered questions- it took some of the pressure off of her.
"I am very lucky," she agreed, "Not just because I like it, but because I'm not colored well for travelling safely. I'm much to bright, you look like you'd be able to hide easier than I could." The cheetah smiled and glanced over his spots, admiring them. She'd always had a fondness for spots, even though she's never had any herself. In fact, that was probably why.

Kika raised a brow but said nothing more on the subject of her answering questions. Like her he too would answer any question that was asked of him, after all it was common courtesy and common knowledge.
"So I see, although I have to say you could attract quite the audience with that colorful pelt. Perhaps if you are in the right company you will be able to travel safely one day." Kika told her thoughtfully, he knew, by instinct he supposed, that she had someone that would care for her greatly and that meant much to the fellow Cheetah, he liked to see others happy.
"I hope I don't sound forward but you've found the special someone for you yes?"

"Thank you," she responded politely to the compliment, smiling at Kika. When he mentioned the right company to travel safely, her mind immediately wandered to Hasidi. She was still unsure of what she felt, but she knew he was different. The cheetah was at a point of listening without really hearing Kika when he asked about her someone special.
If she could blush, or if it could be seen through the pink of her fur, she would have. It still didn't occur to her that it might seem odd that her someone special was not a cheetah. She smiled sheepishly up at Kika, "I think so.. Have you?"
