EVOLUTION: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Is there hope for mutant kind? Sentinels police the streets. Mutants are second class citizens who are thrown into the streets or imprisoned. The only constants that remain in such a dark time are: The X-Men and the Brotherhood. The X-Men remain vigil in helping mutants escape persecution and work for a peaceful coexistance. The Brotherhood remain as a safehold for mutants to protect them from the ever constant threat of the Sentinels.
Both teams joined together for one mission to bring hope to all mutants. Together they rescued Representative Isaac Dole from militant homo sapien captors. Will their join mission prove to be what hope their future needs? Or will it fail like the many attemps before?
DOFP Timeline
(Keep in mind that this is just ONE possible future. The events of this game are not to tie any characters on the Evolution game to their futures. As we all know from comic books, anything can happen. Look at the Summers family in the books smile )
2004: X-Men: Evolution RPG current year
2006: Mutant registration is more than just a whisper now. Its main opponent is Representative Isaac Dole. Its main proponant is Senator Kelly. Julian Rasputin is born to Piotr and Phenix.
2008: Petra Rasputin is born to Piotr and Phenix. Several other X-Men Evolution RPG couples have children around this time. Carson & Lynzie Kinner have Damien and Emily. Kim Raines & Jacen have Nicholas and Olivia.
2018: Tragedy strikes the X-Men when Kim Raines is overwhelmed and temporarily forced insane by her own mutant powers. She single handedly levels the X-Men including Wolverine, Iota, Colossus, Ash, and Darkstar. She killed Lynzie Kinner (Serpent) with her own hands, but not before in her own confusion Lynzie impales Kim with her own spear. This event lead to the own personal insanity of Carson (Iota) and Jacen (Darkstar). - If I have any of this wrong, let me know. I can't remember exactly how it went down. Carson and Jacen both leave the X-Men and their children.
2021: Mutant registration act passed. Sentinels are released into the public to hunt down any mutants who didn't comply. Mutants who were considered dangerous were labeled Class 3 mutants and either were imprisioned or killed. The Xavier institute was destoryed. Charels Xavier and Scott Summers were publically assasinated. The X-Men and Brotherhood were decimated. Some of the X-Men remained on the grounds of the Institute as the property was transfered to Moira MacTaggert, a human allie, for safe keeping. Wolverine becomes the X-Men leader. Several of the children leave the Institute. The Raines children go to Darkstar to form the Brotherhood.
2022: Phenix Rasputin is finally captured and imprisoned. Julian Rasputin is killed when trying to free her from prison later that year. Illyana Rasputin goes missing while protecting the young mutants from Sentinels.
2028: DOFP RPG current year. Recent DOFP actions: Phenix Rasputin was broken out of prison by the X-Men. The broken Xavier Institute grounds is no longer safe and the X-Men have fled to the Morlock tunnels. The Brotherhood lost their home while a Sentinel attacked. The X-Men blue team and the Brotherhood teamed up on a mission to break Representative Dole from a militant human prison. All of the hopes of mutant freedom lie with him.

Penance X: Petra Rasputin (Mercury) - can take the minterals and metallic content of an object upon touch and form it to her body as a liquid metal skin. Can use the metal to create solid projectiles. Class 2. Blue team Field Leader
Laydee Chups: Selina Lourdes (Felidae) - can transform into a humanoid cat with enhanced senses and actions and a prehensile tail. Class 2. Blue team Ast. Field Leader
evilcarlita: Consuela Zapata de Calles (Echo) - mirror-like abilities, she has muscle memory on sight. Class 1.
Brotherhood:
Cloudkicker: John Allerdyce, Jr. (Inferno) - can control fire but not create it. Class 2.
Ginko Kitsune: Jenny Colt (Manipulator) - able to manipulate shadows, thereby manipulating the actions of the person connected to the shadows.
Class 2. Regina Colt (Wraith) - able to travel herself and others through shadows. Can use shadows to sense who is around her.
Jahrviss Ga'lant: Ryan Ortegia (Friction) - Has control over friction, increasing or decreasing the amount of friction in any object.
Nokomis Midnight: Jessie Allerdyce (Blaze) - able to create fire but not able to manipulate it. Class 2.
Sentinels:
None at the moment.
Independent:
Winged Outlaw: Jack Marlowe - Jack is a telepath of the highest order. Class unknown. (CEO of The Halo Corporation)
Kai26: Cero James Howlett (X20) - Wolverine clone. Adamantium skelaton and claws, healing factor, heightened senses, and limited telepathy. Telepathy can only be used to the extent of sheilding his own mind from others.

David Carmike (Byte)- techno mutant who can 'talk' to computers and machines. He is used by the X-Men to detect and sometimes deter Sentinels (class 1). Gold team
Phenix Carmike Rasputin (Ash) - a mutant with the ability to manipulate and absorb all energy. In hiding due to her prison break. (class 3) Gold team
Piotr Rasputin (Colossus) - forms organic skin, very strong and duriable. A major leader in the remaining X-men. (class 2) Gold team
Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) - intangibility, uses this to airwalk. Cannot be detected by telepaths when intangible. (class 2)Gold team Ast. Leader
Jubilation Lee (Jubliee) - Can create pyroplasmic bursts called 'fireworks' which can be as small and large as she can will (class 2)Gold team
Sam Guthry (Cannonball) - generate thermochemical energy as a blast field, which can act as propulsion, bio-kinetic blasts, a protective force shield, and a containment field around his opponent, or absorb kinetic energy to create shockwaves or supercharge the force behind his punches (class 3) Gold team
Brotherhood:
Damien Kinner (Chameleon) - reptillian appearance, claws, tail, and the ability to match patterns and colors with his scales. Class 2.
Todd Tolensky (Toad) - a highly mobile and agile mutant with a frog like tongue and mechanical expertise. (class 1)
Freddy Dukes (The Blob) - one ton glutton who is nigh invincible to harm, controls gravity for himself. (class 2)
Arcade - One of the few non mutant Brotherhood supporters. Enjoys any game, but is an expert hacker. (Human)
Sentinels:
Carson Kinner (Iota) - mutant geneticist, controls atoms. Class 3
Independent:
President Kelly - leader of the "free" world, blatantly racist against mutants, held back by a liberal Congress. (Human)
Representative Isaac Dole - A prominent politician who openly favors mutants. He was kidnapped for a time by the militant HSSA to keep him quiet and to get mutant information. He also holds another secret... (Human)

The Rules
BOSSES: Penance X is the head hancho in the Days of Future Past forum. If she is not available, other board moderators are the authority including Winged Outlaw and ReaverofSouls.
POSTING: Anybody who wishes to be an active member of Days of Future Past must post at least once a week. If you are unable to post, you need to contact Penance X. Please be curteous, though. Many people depend on your character. If you can't post, please let others know and don't leave your character in a spot where they are needed.
POSTING FORMATS: Paragraphs are good. Please seperate your paragraphs with two returns. There is no reason for twenty sentences to be one paragraph. It makes it easier for us to read. Please use appropriate speach and punctuation. If members constantly complain about your writing, you may be removed.
If you write something that is out of character, note it with an OOC: Please do not abuse OOCs. That is what the rest of the forum is for.
CHARACTERS: Please make your characters believable. They are not gods, they have faults. Please respect other people's characters. If you need to use somebody elses characters, do it within certain limits. No life altering events should happen to other people's characters without their player's consent.
RESPECT: Respect your fellow players and their characters. if you have a problem, please PM Penance X or another moderator.
INTERACTION: Your character can't be a lone wolf all the time. Please interact with characters on occassion even if your character is an NPC.
PLOT: Penance X encourages new and creative ideas. Any major plots that change the course of the world around the characters should be run by Penance X first. Example: If you want Sentinels to come down and have their wrath known, please let the GM know first.
Penance X is not into spoon feeding plot. Once a basic outline is given, feel free to go with it to certain limits. If you don't feel write doing something, ask first to see if its okay.
NPCS: Don't abuse the NPCs. If you can't play Wolverine right, don't play him. If you want an NPC added to the list, let Penance X know.

OOC: Guess I'll get the first post underway from where the plot left off the last time. The X-Men and the Brotherhood are on their way home from their mission to the HSSA headquarters. Former Rep. Dole is in their custody.
We'll be back in town soon. Also, with Carson gone, we'll need a defacto leader of the BHood.
IC:
The train ride was silent on the end where Selina, Regina and Jenny sat. The other team with Blaze and Inferno were laughing at some of their own antics that brought the building down. Petra was glad, though, that they were responsible. They didn't kill any innocents. That was her biggest fear. She didn't want them to become like their oppresors.
Dole didn't say anything for the longest of times. He had thanked them sincerely when he was rescued. He took their food when offered, but mostly he rested. Petra supposed it was the first time he wasn't afraid that death was around the corner in years.
As the train neared their destination at the Allison Blair safehold, Petra went over to Dole and noticed something funny. His eyes... they were wrong. She then realized that the rumors were true. Once he had noticed that she was present his eyes changed to normalcy and he looked defensive. Petra was sure if it was any other time or place what she saw would cost her alot.
"I already suspected and have no reason to tell what I know," Petra sat down. Dole nodded and Petra continued, "The Underground will meet us at the Blair safehouse. They're your people. I know nothing after that for my people's protection and for yours."
"I understand the need for secrecy," Dole said in a way that made Petra feel small, "Unfortunately, those bastards got to me before I could get to them. The lives that were lost..."
Petra sat down beside him, "Then make them mean something and do the things you've promised. Get into office and get us our voice back."
"I never cared for your parents, wrong sides, but you have potential, Petra," He said and threw her off guard. He really did know his stuff. For all she knew, he was the reason the Institute was recently under seige resulting in their hiding in the Morlock tunnels. "I know the current X-Men roster, don't look surprised."
Petra said nothing as the train started to slow somewhat. She called out to the troops, "We get off the same way we got on. Regina will take Dole, Jenny, and Blaze through shadows. Deadpool will teleport himself and Olivia. Selina, Myself and Inferno can make the jump. We rest the night at Blair's. Then we go back home. We have time to go around Dead Man's Walk this time. After that... we'll see."
One by one the mutants disbursed. Their mission was a success. Now, she hoped, they would have a voice in the government. Maybe, just maybe, she'll be able to do this things she dreams of.

(Yay my first post!)
Cero was in the woods which he calls home walking around undetected as usual when a train came into view on the tracks that passed through the woods. So he watches the train to make sure no one was looking for him when he notices a few bodies jump off the train.
"Great they're back but atleast I don't have to worry about them finding me espesialy since I know where they are going."
With that the tall redheaded beast stealthfully headed toward there supposed safe house at the edge of the woods. "It will be easier to keep and eye on them from ahead of them." Cero is now swiftly moving through the forest dodging trees with ease since he has lived in these woods for over 20 years. "Even though they mean no trouble I don't like anyone in my woods." He continues on using the darkness of night to hide himself from the ones from the train and with his eyes even in the dark he could keep and eye on them as long as there was a little light.

"Dammit," Petra dragged herself up off the ground. JJ looked at her brushing the grass off his pants. They had to take the fun dive from the train.
"You okay?" He asked her and helped her up.
She rubbed her elbow, "I will be. I misjudged where to put my armor and well, that hurt. Not to mention it didn't help that Selina felt it would be funny to push me out of the train."
"Well it would have been if you had landed right," She pulled some grass out of her hair as they caught up with the rest of the group.
Before they headed back to Allison Blair's place, Deadpool and Chameleon made sure that the perimeter was safe. Neither wanted any kind of ambush. They determined things to be okay so they returned to their safehouse for a meal and some rest. Dazzler was happy to see them return. She confirmed with Petra that the Underground would arrive in the middle of the night when most were sleeping.
Taking her bowl of stew outside, Petra put her feet up on the porch rail and sat in the silence. Half of the team were sleeping or eating on the inside.
"Enjoy the solitude while we have it. We go our seperate ways in the city I suppose. I'll miss the team," Petra said to herself graciously eating the bland vegetables.
She took a deep breath under the moonlit sky and stopped cold staring out into the woods. She could smell it. Metal, strong metal. The only senses she had the last time they were here was from the old rusty rail cars and bits. They were weak. Putting her spoon down into the bowl and swallowing what was in her mouth, she leaned over her seat to try to watch the darkened woods.
"Nothing... I wish my eyes could see the metal as well as my nose smells it," She muttered to herself.

Regina set her bowl down and eased herself from under Jenny's head. She had fallen asleep an hour ago, almost immediately after eating. Getting up, she headed outside to lean next to the railing where Petra was staring out into the woods.
"You know... we don't have to go seperate ways." she started. It was something she had been thinking about for a long time now. Even when she was in the original brotherhood. "The days of the past are over with, why can't our two groups cooperate? It doesn't seem like we're much different anymore. Your group killed, just as the brotherhood did. And right now, the new B-hood starting up really needs some leadership. Maybe you and I can help the teams be one, and something stronger than last time?"

Petra smiled. Those were the words she was hoping to hear from somebody. The two teams weren't much different than each other. They were in the same lot. They were small in numbers anymore, and well, maybe together they can survive.
"That was the next step Wolverin and Shadowcat wanted to take.. extending the hand of peace and cooperation to the Brotherhood. We all need allies."
Regina nodded and looked out at the woods that Petra kept glancing too, "We need friends as much as we need a house. What do you see?"
"Its not what I see, its what I feel. Its probably nothing," Petra shrugged it off not really convinced that it wasn't nothing, "I can take you back to the Morlock tunnels when we get back to the city. They're giving us a home. No reason they won't give you all a home either."
Regina watched Petra's eyes scanning the woods still, "If it was nothing, you wouldn't be watching still."
"I feel, smell, metal. New metal, strong metal. Not this rusted s**t that is lying around. It didn't feel it before, but..."
"You don't trust it," Regina finished her sentence and Petra nodded in agreement.
Petra looked at Regina and sighed, "We should check it out. I don't want any interfearence in getting Dole out of here."

"Then maybe you and I should check it out." Regina said softly. "Everyone else is asleep... You said new metal? As in cars, or sentinals...? Then we really need to check it out. If anything goes wrong I can transport us through the shadows back here in a blink to warn everyone."
She hoped this was the beginning of a better team. She never understood why their sides faught. Granted, her side was always killing unnecessarily but now they all needed to kill to servive. They were no different anymore...

Cero was consealed bu trees and darkness from their eyes. But one seemed to be able to detect him somehow all be it not so well. "Hum interesting that one there can sense my presence somewhat but not entirely." He says from in his cover watching them while tring to not give himself away just yet.
"This may prove to be interesting." He says while contomplating two decisions: One he could stay her in the woods and continueing to live this way longer, Or two he could head down there and talk to those that resided in that structure for the moment. "Hum Option two seems more fun and would provide more entertainment so I will go down in the morning and give them a wake up call." With that the redheaded beast clone of Logan watches those outside the cabin to see if he can figure out how they would react to his wake up call.
Cero hears them talking about coming to check out what she sensed. "Oh well better just go down there." With that Cero appears just into view showing no signs of hostility to give them reason for alarm. Even though if he wanted he could of easily avoided them since he knows these woods better then anyone.

Petra'a heart nearly jumped into her throat when the shadowy figure came into view. She hadn't expected it to come out to them. Her body instinctively pulled her armor up around her body. She pushed it back though. The figure in the woods was showing no hostility.
Regina seemed just at rigid. This was not what they were expecting.
"Regina, stay behind me, if something happens, use your plan." Petra said referring to her taking them back through the shadows. She wanted Regina behind her because Petra could sheild her if need be. The problem was, she started to recognize the metal. It was one she could not easily defend against or absorb... although she could if she concentrated every last ounce of will she had.
Regina nodded and they both stepped off the porch.
Petra wasn't going to go up to him just yet. So she yelled, "Are you a friend or foe? Foes work for those against mutants."
"That's the best you can do?" Regina sighed.
Petra shrugged, "Its not like I had this thing rehearsed. I wish a script came with this job."

Cero studied the ones outside as he walked forward. "I am friend then because I do not work against mutants I am one." He says not wanting to reveail to much while he was learning about them. "Thats a neat trick you got there Kid reminds me of a guy I had seen along time ago he could cover his skin just like that." He says as he walks forward saying these things that not many could see in this horrible light.
Cero continued slowly walking forward till he is just outside the radius of the light so it still hides his face. "I smell fear, you have nothing to fear from me as long as you play nice." He says in his gruf voice from lack of use that could be heard. He never talked much cause there wasn't really anyone to talk to in the woods over 20 years. "So if you are against the anti mutants then that is why I can smell a hint of Wolverine from a few of you." He says now with a light laugh thinking to himself it has been a while since I have smelled his sent around.

Skin that carries metal like mine... does he mean my father? I shouldn't tell him more than needed. We don't know yet that he isn't working for the Sentinels. And since there is nothing that binds us to the X-Men, I can't take that chance right now... not with Dole inside.
Before Petra had a chance to answer the man, a blinding red flash filled the night air and the smell of brimstone filled their nostriles. For a third time that evening, Petra's heart jumped up into her throat.
"But you're dead!" She exclaimed with their underground contact appeared on the lawn.
The one from the woods popped familiar looking claws and crouched into a defensive stance. Petra held out her hand registering in the back of her mind that this man was too much like Logan. She told him that this mutant was a friend too and they had business with him. Petra walked to Nightcrawler and Regina kept vigilance.
"I know I am," Kurt nodded looking alot older since she saw him last.
"But- Do the know you're not?" She had a thousand questions for him. They thought he died five years ago in a mission.
"Only a few... My abilities make me valuable to the Underground. Now, I need to retreive my mo- my package."
Petra nodded and Nightcarwler went into the safehouse. In the matter of a minute, Nightcrawler had came and gone. He didn't tell them where he had gone. The less that knew everything, the safer the plan. Petra was a little sad because she had thought her 'Uncle' Kurt to be dead.
"That was quick," Petra turned back to their man from the woods, "You're like Wolverine, aren't you?"

Regina blinked. She had only heard stories about Kurt Wagner. She had read the Xmen comics just like anyone else as a kid and thought she had a minor crush on him. Even then, seeing him in real life and hearing the accent had brought on a rush of daydreams.
"oh boy." she whispered, putting a hand to her head. She tried to clear it while looking at the new comer.
"So you're like wolverine... but not? Have you got his temper?" she asked, having dealt with the original Wolverine once or twice she distinctly remembered his temper.
