The journal is interesting to say the least. It is kind of foamy, with holes missing... and is that a bite mark? What this foamy material could be made of, who's to say? It appears to be an orangish-yellow with a very pungent yet undefinable smell. The spine, however, is different. It is teal and a strange, smooth and oily paper. The whole journal is tied just with a long dark-red string.

Time has passed, and your Herald is becoming fond of you and beginning to show affection. You two have grown closer, but that's not the only aspect of growing.

The Herald is maturing into a young child before your eyes. No longer dying and weak and no longer sexless, it now has beautiful angel white hair and dark blue eyes of unusual depth. You may have noticed that the Herald has been scratching and touching its back for a while, and now it's finally explained. The herald's wings have started to grow in.

How do you deal with the child's discomfort? Do you have any remedies to ease it? How does he/she react? How do the wings reflect the item given?

-Race: I dunno, but it's got feathers all around it. Maybe it ate a chicken?

-Personality: Not very, er, lively. Ah ha ha.

-Likes: Slabs, apparently. Of rock.

-Dislikes: I don't think it has any. Other than dying. I bet it hates that.

-Age: A lady never tells. Good thing she's not one, eh, you nosy b*****d? 21.

-Gender: Female. Usually.

-Race: Human. Occassionally b***h.

-Personality: Growing up with a couple like Peep and her boyfriend Wren can really leave you broadsided. Renting a room from them? Just keep your hard hat on!

Elwryn is a pretty down to Earth Gaia gal. She's got no special powers of note, save being able to burp the alphabet. Which just doesn't work on a resume. Recently she's taken under her wing several new charges, which is unfortunate because she notoriously hates kids.

Ah well, you live you learn, neh?

Currently she works for a local paper as a news reporter and photographer. In her spare time she practices archaeology in remote areas not publicly accesible across the Gaian globe. It's not all fun and games though; the flat she rents from her cousin and his gal is a leaky old attic with a door leading to the roof. Recently she's had to fence that part in as she doesn't want any of the kiddies falling off. Or does she?

Name: Maria Avril.

Age: Toddler.

Race: Legend of the Tale, a wind sprite.

Gender: Female.

Personality: Avril (or Maria Avril, as it were) is primarily a wind spirit. Specifically she is of the warm, summery wind affiliation. "The first, Maria Avril, came from a pairing with the sun, and carried with her Spring's life and Summer's warm embrace. ".

However, like any spring breeze, she has a tendency to be fickle and hot tempered. Also, as noted in the above passage, she is a daughter of the sun and therefore has mildly sunny properties, usually displayed as a faint glow that is somewhat apparent when in especially dark places. Because of this affiliation she also has a tendency to be especially robust and healthy.

Avril is a tomboy, preferring to run around and play in the muck and such. She's adventureous to a fault and has a soft spot for dogs. She is also a good swimmer. While these things are not exceptional they are worth note.
