Roule had ran from their car, back out to the hill overlooking the lake as fast as he could, to avoid any responsibility to carry boxes full of picnic supplies and baskets. Those things were heavy, and he wasn't quite ready to help Ma yet. Instead, the boy had opted to carry the lightweight cloth and was sitting on it, the cliche checker patterned cloth sitting snugly in the warm grass. It was in fact, a nice day for a picnic. He had put the cloth under some trees and shade, in order to stop the massive amount of sunlight from hurting his eyes, as he was a partial nocturnal creature, sunlight was not his friend. Neither was it Ma's, being the computer geek she was who melted in daylight, but Nev had simply explained to the boy that she and he needed to get out more.. so here they were.
They had gone for picnic before, and the previous time, Nev had forgotten to pack sandwiches, which forced them to eat fruit salad and chips for lunch, which really wasn't all that bad. It might've been even better than the sandwhich, and especially so was the fact it had been made by his mother, who couldn't cook at well.. Maybe that was for the better.
Dawdling quietly on the slope, he watched the lake shimmer contently, shading his eyes every so often from the glare of the sun in the water's reflection.

Down by the water's edge, it didn't look nearly as pretty. A large towel streached a bit back from the water's edge adorned with an equally large beach bag. Hovering next to said bag was one Aysel ******. Nervously the luna moth eyed the calm waves. The waves weren't nearly as large as the ocean had been but still... She had not enjoyed the last time she had gone in the water. Aysel hugged her arms around her, covering the simple bathingsuit she wore, stomach doing flip-flops.
Her mother stood bare feet in the water wearing a perplexed look. Aysel's fear of large bodies of water honestly perplexed the woman. Slowly she came towards Aysel.
"Uh huh." the child said, shaking her head and backing up rapidly. "No," she said clearly before turning and running down the hill of the man-made lake.

Something caught the weasel's eyes as he squinted into the distance, something light and seemingly blended in with the environment around him. Rubbing his eyes to make sure that he wasn't imagining something (it was pretty easy to do so, the sunlight was making him a tad bit dizzy), Roule got up for a better look.
There was something there, roughly, standing on the water's edge with some other thing.. he couldn't get a better look, his eyesight wasn't awesome at the moment. He went down cautiously, trying to see better, even though now, the sun was full out in his face.
Looking back briefly to check if Ma had come back from the car and assuring himself that she had not yet, Roule slid down the hill slowly, willing himself to inspect whoever had come to the lakeside as well, just to make this a bit more interesting than was originally planned.

Fortunately Aysel had learned something about watching where she went. Actually she learned several things. Catching sight of Roule heading down the hill towards her the luna moth hurried even faster. Mommy wouldn't object to her playing with a new friend instead of trying to get her into that dark ominous water, right?
Able to see the other child much easier than he could, Aysel waved. "'ello!" she called, eager to find a way out of the swimming lesson.

Roule backed up awkwardly against the hill, surprised to be met with such friendliness. That was weird, wasn't it? Most people who saw a person running down a hill to meet them wasn't going to wave... at least, most people. Who was this girl? She was certainly weird looking. Pretty but weird looking.
The pale girl was out by the water as well. What were they doing? The weasel looked around, spotting a woman in the same vicinity. That was her ma, most likely. Most kids he met had their parents somewhere close.. There were only a few exceptions.
He stood on his tiptoes and crawled down slowly to the bottom, attempting not to slip. Balance was a thing that a weasel should have, but he had to learn it apparently.
Eager to meet the strange looking girl, he waved back stoutly, attempting to give a smile instead of the usual stoic look.

Pleased to see the other kid wave back Aysel hurried towards him. As the distance grew shorter, the more excited Aysel became. She was getting out of swimming lessons!
As she got close enough to talk Aysel began to chatter, clipping her words. "Hi! I'm Aysel. wh'at's y'our n'ame? Want to go p'lay s'omewh'ere?"

Cocking a brow at the girl's weird accent, the pale boy shrugged, and attempted to understand Aysel. She was talking kinda fast...
"Uh.. M'name's Roule." He stated awkwardly, cradling the back of his neck in a display of embarrasement. "Umm.. Sure? I donno if Ma is back, but she's always late." Well, not ALWAYS, but what, 99% of the time? He could never rely on her to be on time anyways. Even for picnic.
Kneeling down, he looked around, "whatcha doing here?" Roule asked, perking up slightly. He didn't really like water though, as he had no clue how to swim. Weird.

The frown on her face appeared like an unwelcome thunderstorm at the meantion of what they were doing. "'wimming," she answered sourly. "'ommy wants 'e to 'earn 'ow to 'wim." The luna moth made a face, covering the thrill of fear the idea of swimming brought to her.
Aysel glanced back towards the shore, where her mom was wading out of hte water. "'ome on!" she urged. "'et's 'ee if t'ere's a playground!"

Swimming? It didn't really look that bad, though he didn't like the effect it had on his fur. All matte and gross and dark and damp and he really didn't like it..
Looking back towards where Aysel gazed to, he rose a brow. What? Did she not want to go swimming or something? Or maybe her mom was mad. Yeah, that was most likely it.
Roule nodded and his mouth twitched, threatening to form a smile. "Alright, let's goooo!" He said quickly, remembering his most likely angry ma.

Clapping all four hands the luna moth nearly jumped up and down. "'mon!" she said, reaching out to drag him along. "'aybe 'ey 'ave a see-saw," the luna moth chattered on. Anything to keep away from her mom.
The playground wasn't really that far away, though a hill blocked it from sight of the beach. There was a see-saw, swings, even a little round spinney thing. Pulling up short, Aysel checked behind her. Nope no mommy. The girl slowed down a little, only now realizing how silly she had been acting.
"Uh... 'hat do 'ou want to play on?" the luna moth said a little slower than earlier.
With a groan Tara started packing up their things before slowly heading in the direction Aysel had dragged her poor victim off to.

Roule blinked, looking at the playground numbly. Wow, that had been jolting. Few people actually pulled him along for anything. Heh.
He turned to face Aysel, and asked bluntly, "Dunno. What do you want?" He really wasn't all too interested in playing, well, it seemed fun, but he didn't really have any preferences. The blonde boy sat down patiently, looking up at the equally pale girl for a reply.
Meanwhile, Nev had gotten back to the picnic with a few baskets and beverages. She looked around, scowling. Where did that child go again? He always ran off.

Aysel considered the playground thoughtfully. Finally she pointed at the round spinning thing. "'ve 'ever 'een on that," the luna moth stated. Glancing down at the furry boy she nodded before skipping off to the large wheel.
Grasping on of the bars Aysel tugged it around once while waiting for Roule to get up and come over. "'ll 'pin it 'or you 'irst," came the unselfish offer.
Trudge trudge trudge. A glance up the hill revealed... no Aysel. There was another woman at the top, but the mage dismissed it as coincedence. It was a fairly popular area, particularly with weather as fine as this. Burdened with the bags the teal-haired woman staggered along.

"Eeee.." the weasel squirmed, looking at the playground, and particularly the round spinny thing Aysel had pointed to. "Ummm.. you wanna get first?" he asked, peering hopefully at the girl. He didn't spectacularly like things that spun, he remembered the last time he had been on a faster-than-usual carousel ride and felt the nausea rise up in his stomach. Roule groaned slightly, a faint green ebbing from his skin. Stop it. He told himself firmly, almost tempted to stomp his foot on the ground. You're not scared of this thing.
Though, it'd be nice if Aysel got on first. She was already green, if it made her sick, it'd just look nicer.
Nev sighed in exasperation, scanning her surroundings meticulously. I need a leash, she thought between clenched teeth. I'll never find him otherwise.

The luna moth didn't notice the green tint to Roule. Of course she probably would have found it quite pretty so it was probably a good thing. Innocent of his intentions to get her sick, the luna moth nodded, "'kay".
Climbing on she moved to one of the bars and held on, two hands on either side of her. Confident that she was secure, Aysel nodded towards Roule. "'eady!"

Taking one of the bars in his hand, the weasel started to push as hard as he could. He was lighter and shorter than an average 7 year old, and it took a little more effort, but the round spinney thing started to move and turn. He pushed and ran with it until the carousel-type thing was moving rather fast. The boy fell back with slight pants, staring as Aysel became a blur of green and red and blue.
