Little white paws were slowly making themselves dusty as the white and violet demi-god cub trotted along on his way to... wherever it was that he thought he was going.
"Through the desert and over the dust, I can see the sky of rust. Lead me where I'm going I pray to thee, though on this day I barely see. It's with your light I bring myself, to lift this head of white and say, I love you father to this i stay." Akiiki sang out into the violet colored sky.
He was immensily happy today, not entirely sure why. he'd been trotting over the boundaries to the Pride Lands for an entire day, ghosted by the shadow of his father keeping an eye on him. ninja

Kaede was in a happy-go-lucky mood today as always. The last few days have been great. She had been wandering off on her own more frequently now. Her heart immensly happy knowing the fact that she had already met and amde two friends in two lions that she held near and dear to her heart. Ger and Ororo were two of her friends, if not her best friends in the world.
Ger had said Kaede could be what she wanted to be if she tried ahrd enough, and Ororo had said she was one of the strongest lionesses he had ever seen. Yes, perhaps she was born a jackal (though she denies it) but in her heart adn mind she was all lion all the time.
Wnadering off today she had gotten closer to the borders, in hopes of seeing Ger or Ororo today, but there was another figure on the horizon. Smaller then both Ger and Ororo, but seemed to be padding along quite happy with themself.
It could be another potential friend!
Picking up ehr pace Kaede began to go in teh direction of the white image before her green eyes. It was another lion, smaller though, a cub, just like her. Perhaps this day would be a very good day for friend-making too! "Hello!" Kaede said moving closer, perhaps they would want to be friends with her nad play.

Stopping in the middle of his songs usually made Aki upset, yet for some reason the little female voice of the jackle before him made the corners of the demi-god's mouth turn up. She seemed to be rather happy.
He liked that.
"Hi!" Aki said brightly, jumping forward so that his shorter muzzle was nose to nose with her own. "I'm Akiiki, what's your name?"
His purple tipped tail wagged in the air behind him, it was a rare thing for him to meet up with a jackle, especially one that smelled and acted like a lion. The very thought that she used the body language of one of his own and acted just like his brother made him smile brightly.
"You smell like a lion, are you a lion in jackal skin?" He asked brightly. "That would make a great song." ninja

Kaede was a bit taken aback by this cubs forwardness, but regardless it made her smile and wag her tail at him, "I'm Kaede," she said with a smile. Yes, this cub seemed quite nice.
Yet something about this cub made Kaede feel as if she was being watched by someone else, yet around them there seemed to be no one in sight...strange. She wondered what he was doing so close to the Pridelands, she hadn't seen him around before, perhaps he was joining the pride?
Perhaps he could be a new friend!
Kaede tilted her head at Akiiki as he spoke the next few lines though, she smelled like a lion? Well, she hoped so for that was what she was! But he spoke...strangely about it, "Lion in a jackal skin...whats a jackal?" she asked seriously, this cub spoke strangely. Perhaps he was from a different pride visiting here. "What brings you here Akiiki?"

"It's nice to meet you Kaede. I like that name, it would make a good song." Akiiki said as he sat back and drummed one of his paws against his chin. Her name was gentle, though at the same time firey, there had to be a song that fit it in some way shape or form.
Though... she asked that next question and one of his ears fell. So she was a jackle that thought she was a lion? That was funny.
A snort came from him and he staunched it with two paws on the end of his muzzle as he still sat there. She was really cute, thinking she was one thing when she was another. Though his father had told him once that no matter what you are, if you imagine something or that you're another way then it must be true. And his father was a god, so it must be true.
"A jackle is a sort of fox, or at least that's what my daddy says and since he's a god and can fly I guess he'd see a lot of them. Lions cubs like us wouldn't know it yet unless we met one right?" Aki said brightly, the corners of his muzzle turning upward as he spoke to her.
What brought him here? He was always around here, he didn't live that far away after all. The den was only a few miles back, his father could find him easily.
"I live around here." Akiiki crowed, his eyes closing as his smile got wider. "I've never seen you before, you live around here too right? Wanna be friends?" ninja

Kaede plopped herself on the ground in front of Akiiki and listened to him speak. Her tail wagged when he said he liked her name, she liked ehr name too. She believed it fit her persona quite well.
But when he began to speak of a jackal being like a fox, she got totally lost. All she knew was that she was a lioness, Ororo had said so. She even pinned him and he was so much bigger! She bet she could pin Akiiki too...but she wouldn't. That woul be for another time she supposed.
The she heard Aiiki talk of his father...his father was a god? Wait. Hold the snake...he was a God?! Like...with wings. Ooo, this seemed to be quite interesting...She was talking to a cub of a god, that was so cool. She hoped that she might see his dad, that would truly be an interesting story to tell her own father.
"I live in the Pridelands with my family yes,"she said with a smile, her tail wagging at an even more accelerated rate, he wanted to be friends! "Of course I'd like to be friends with you Akiiki!" she smiled and began to think, what could they do for fun? Talk some more? That could be fun, or perhaps a game, hmm, that could be better. But then something crossed her mind, "Will your dad, being a god and all, be mad your far from home?" she was just curious, she didn't want to be in trouble with a god. Not at all.

"Nope, he won't mind. He's just always following me, he's in charge of me, mom's in charge of Dumu. But sometimes dad flits away, guys gotta eat even if he is a god." This brought a shrug from the white shoulders, though Akiiki wasn't sure where Athrun was at that moment, he at least knew that he wasn't watching, or he'd have snapped down at his son for going nose to nose with another.
A pridelander? A friend! That was what she could be, he'd had mostly older ones and just his parents and brother recently. Nothing special, to have a friend his own age.. it would blow his mind.
Grinning playfully, the demi-god jumped forward and tackled her to the ground, his white paws on her shoulders and a wiry grin on his snow white muzzle. He knew how to play, oh did he know how. ninja

She continued to listen and watched as he pounced....on her! He didn't even give her a moments notice or say that he wanted to play...that wasn't very nice. She swayed her tail and head-butted him in the forehead with her own head and rolled over escaping his grasp of his paws on her shoulders.
"You shoulda told me you wanted to play Akiiki," Kaede said smiling, crouching low, tail swaying in the air. "What kind of games to you usually play?"
She stayed in the same stance as she was, she had to be careful, but she knew she was a strong lioness. Ororo got pinned by her, so if she had to, she would pin Akiiki too, if she wanted too that is.

Stepping back a little, the cub rolled his shoulders and grinned down at the smaller jackle/lioness. She liked to play rough, that wasn't too bad with him.
"That's the idea of suprise golden one." Aki said in a blatantly blunt voice before leaping at her again and shouldering her in her own shoulder. It was true that she was much smaller than him, she would have some problems playing rough and tumble back if he got too serious.
Keeping that in mind, the white and violet cub swished his tail to the side and grinned at her, walking around her in circles like he did with Dumu. It was easy to do, incredibly easy. This little one didn't have very many openings, but then that was okay with him, that just gave him more of a challenge. ninja

Green eyes watched Akiiki, he was too rough it seemed, perhaps god cubs were like that, not being able to hold in their strength and bring it out on others without realizing it. Kaede watched him as he spoke and she huffed at him, ears folding back in frustration she continued to watch him as he began to circle her.
Kaede didn't like this game.
She felt like she was the prey being cornered, and that she and Akiiki weren't on even terms, him being slightly bigger then her giving him the greater benefit. Where was Ger or Ororo when you needed them? "Surprise yes, but not nice if you hurt someone by surprise," Kaede stated matter of factly. This was odd. Akiiki seemed like an odd cub.
Then she thought of something. "How would your dad feel if you hurt someone smaller then you when you just wanted it to be 's surprise'?" Perhaps he would stand down with that comment, if not, Kaede kept on her guard, watching his every move.

((Posted for Neo, since her computer is evil <3))
"huh?" Akiiki asked in an almost squeaky voice. He wasn't used to being yelled at just for playing, in fact he was more than used to being bullied by Dumu with every step that he took. This was how he played and he thought he'd been doing it right, though apparently not. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm just not used to lionesses that don't fight back."
The little demi-god shrugged helplessly and licked her shoulder where he'd shoved her, as if in a sort of appology for his actions. Silvery eyes shimmered as he sat down and thought about it for a moment, if she were any kind of lioness she'd have fought back, but by birth she was a jackle and smaller even if now she was a lion. Shrugging, he rolled his white shoulders and glanced at her plaintifly.
"He'd probably hurt me or something, or at least drag me off somewhere without me..." Aki started only to be cut off when a large paw landed on his rather small tail.
Athrun glared down at him a little angrily, his son had hurt a little jackle or at least that was what it had appeared to be, since she was reprimending him. A job that he didn't find suited for just anyone.
Dropping his wings down on his back, the god nodded his head to the little female and grabbed his son in his jaws lightly, hoisting the small cub up off the ground with no literal effort at all. Flicking his tail aggitatedly, the god huffed around his son's belly, gusting hot air against his small ribs and soaking his white fur from the condensation.
"It's time to go home." The thought rang out over the air between the three of them, no real indication where it came from though it was a voice deeper than Akiiki's would be for a long time.
Looking sadly back at the little lioness below him now, Aki waved as he was dragged away by his father's large wings, humming as he was carried home again.

Kaede smiled and wagged her tail apologetically, she didn't want Akiiki mad at her. She just wasn't used to such playing, at least not yet. Though she did pin Ororo...this was strange, everything seemed strange. "Thanks Akiiki," she said softly as he licked her shoulder gently, it was so nice of him. Now she knew she shouldn't have acted odd towards him, she hoped he would forgive her.
She was unsure of what he meant by his other statement, being dragged off by his father...exactly what did his father look like? She didn't get the time to ask before a larger white form appeared before her green eyes. She stared on in awe at the form, it had to have been his father, they were both of a white pelt, but...but he had wings!
Kaede wished she had wings.
Then she watched as Akiiki was picked up by the figure, a lion with wings....why didn't she have wings?! No matter, she listened as a voice said he had to go home...but she didn't want him to. As they took off she chased under them for a bit, watching Akiiki wave to her. She wanted him to come back!
Hopefully, they would meet again.
She prayed they did.
Akiiki, was a new friend.
