RP For Family <3
Stretching his tiny body he leapt forward as if play pouncing a butterfly that was in eyesight...but nothing was their. This was Shui, a fun-loving pup who loved his mother dearly, and had a strange attraction to playing in puddles and fascinated by all things water. That was his name, his namesake, Shui meant water, and Shui's eyes held true to his name.
His white pelt made the splotches of color stand out, but his eyes stood out amongst everything that he was. So bright in their blue-ish tone, but now his blue eyes were searching for teh image of his mother.
"Mommy!" he squeaked and shuffled his paws around, searching around the den (for he didn't like the thought of wandering anywhere without his beloved mom). "Mommy where are you?!"
Perhaps Shui was up too early, and the others were still asleep. Shui plopped himself right at the mouth of the den and waited, his tail swaying back and forth behind him. Where was his mom and siblings?! Today SHui wanted to explore!

A high pitched, squeak of a whine echoed up softly from the depths of the family den as one of the two larger bodies detangled carefully from the pile of limbs, rising slowly. One of their younger sons was already awake and very obviously eager to get out to play, and Ujuzi, to be honest, was pleased. She was an early riser herself, and glad to find out that some of the pups obviously shared that habit.
"Careful, Shui, you'll wake your father and siblings," She corrected gently, padding forward out of the shadows in something of a ducked walk. Her tail fanned the air quietly in a gesture of happiness to encourage Shui, and reassure him that she was glad to see him. She placed a few grooming licks to the top of his head to smooth down his fur, and made her way past him and outside of the den then.
The burrough was situated between two rises in the ground, two grassy hills. It hid them from immediate view unless one rounded the knolls, or made way to the top of the one that faced the entrance of their hole. She picked this both to ensure that the pups wouldn't be able to wander far, and to be sure that they'd be hidden from unfriendly visitors.

Shui looked up and jumped to his feet, his tail wagging in an excited manner. Mom was up now! He folded his ears back in happiness being glad to see his mommy so soon, and for once all by himself. Usually one of his other siblings would be around too, but it was nice to be with his mommy alone sometimes.
He giggled and smiled as Ujuzi licked atop his head, then he tried to ruffle his fur back up, he liked it sorta messy, but also took into account what his mom would do for him.
"Mommy..." he said in a hushed tone, as to not wake the others yet, "I'm thirsty, can we go to the water place again?" he asked referring to the 'large water puddle' he had seen others travel too. He really liked it there, and being able to dip his paws in the cool water.
"Please can we go mommy?" he asked giving her big puppy eyes. He knew it was too far from the den, adn perhaps if they went soon, they could be back before the others woke up. None the less he padded next to Ujuzi and stood on her right side, his shoulder touching her forearm. He was truly a momma's boy, but he didn't care. He loved Ujuzi and knew that someday he'd make her proud.

Jabari lifted his head up groggily as he felt his mother's body heat vanish from in front of him. He opened one eye slowly and gazed in front of him where his mother had laid. Sighing at the bare spot of earth, he slowly untangled himself from the pile of pups around him to see where his mother had gone off to.
It didn't take him long to find her. He could hear her voice from the mouth of the den talking to one of his siblings. Yawning, he walked up beside his mother and leaned against her left side. "Mommy, what's going on?" he asked her curiously, stiffling another yawn.

"Hm..."
They were joined shortly after by Jabari, it seemed, the pup that most resembled his father. Ujuzi's smile warmed a bit as both sons used her for support, but her left brow did quirk and raise in amusement.
"Alright."
Besides, Haiji, Haveo, and Dafina were about to keep an eye out for wandering pups, should they wake before Kengee. All was well.
"We're taking a trip to the watering hole, Jabari," She commented, leaning down to give him the same bathing-treatment that Shui had gotten. "come now you two, I want to be back before your brothers and sisters wake up."

Shui watched at his brother came out through the den portal and he felt his spirit fall a bit, Shui thought today would be a day to spend with mom alone, but it seemed with so many siblings it was impossible. But Shui tried to hide that he was a bit upset, he didn't want his mom or brother to get the wrong idea. Shui always thought of his family before himself, he loved to see them happy no matter what he had to do to make them smile.
His tail wagged and he play-pounced forward smiling up at Ujuzi, obviously excited. "Yay!" Shui ran around in a circle and trotted back to his mother's side, excited to go to the big water puddle. "Ready mommy?" he asked with a smile. Even though he wasn't alone with his mom, today seemed like it would be a good start of a day to Shui.
"I'll race you there mom!" Shui said with a grin and glanced at his brother through the corner of his eye. This might be fun, it was always nice to play even teh littlest games.

Jabari canted his head to one side and looked up at his mother curiously, a hint of a smile on his face from the small bath he had recieved from her. "watering...hole?" he asked curiously. He smiled a little bit more and nodded slowly.
"Alright!" he said in a half-yell, hoping that he didn't wake up his other siblings and father that were still asleep in their den. He watched his brother pounce forward excitedly and he sighed. 'Just like him to be this anxious to go somewhere,' he thought to himself as he took a couple uneasy steps away from his mother's side.
From a distance, he could see the outline of the watering hole and noticed that it was quite a ways away from their den. He thought about going back down and taking more of a nap, but then thought of the teasing he might recieve from Shui if he chicked out on their little adventure. Gathering his little courage, he glanced over at his brother and took a few confident steps away from the den entrance.

"I think your brother is probably a better match. I have a bit of an unfair advantage," Ujuzi replied with a faint smile. Encouraging the pups to interact together positively like that was something Ujuzi did at every given opprotunity, wanting to make sure that they grew up able to appreciate and care about one another. Who knew, it was possible that one day they'd be taking her place, or may, heaven forbid, be all that one another had.
She took easy strides in the direction of the watering hole, large ears alert for possible threats, but aside from a few birds it didn't seem many others were up at this hour yet.
It didn't take too long, maybe five or six minutes, for them to draw up to the watering hole. Ujuzi scented the area before allowing the boys to wander ahead of her, only doing so when she was satisfied that they weren't under threat of attack. As it was there were only a few drinking zebra at the water's edge, and none seemed too worried about a mother and her pups, who didn't bother hiding themselves.

He wagged his tail and watched his brother nad Ujuzi start taking steps in the direction of the waterhole, true, his brother might be a better match...but would he want to? Perhaps just traveling there side by side would be nice, but then again..Shui wanted to see the water so bad!
"Okay mommy...Jabari, want to race or walk together?" he asked with a smile, blinking once of twice, Shui's azure blue eyes watching the path before him, looking at his brother friendly, looking at his mother with affection. He truly did love his mother and his brother, all of his family, they were his family.
"Mommy, when we get there...can I step in it today? Please?" he asked with big puppy eyes, he loved the water so much, but it was rare if there was ever enough to put his paws in to see how it felt. Hopefully Ujuzi would let him...or he'd have to go find a puddle to play in somewhere.

Jabari looked at his brother uneasily, unsure of whether to race or not. "Umm..." he started to say, but he then hesistated for a few brief seconds. "walk," he muttered under his breath at his brother before leaning against his mother's side for comfort.
After walking the short 6 minute walk to the watering hole, he slowly approached the water and gazed down into it, seeing his reflection stare back at him. He pricked his ears up as his brother begged to go into the water. He canted his head and leaped towards his mother. "Yeah, mother, can we?" he sat down next to his brother and stared at his mother with a innocent look on his face.

 Back in the den a forth body stirred and Chafu yawned. It was hard to spot him in the dark since he was so like the colour of the dirt walls and floor but once he started to move it was easier. He lifted his head and looked about. It was easy to tell his mother was missing and a closer inspection of the tangled limbs suggested maybe one or two others were too. Well! He couldn't be left out of anything, not if there was fun to be had!
He stood up and shook his head, clearing his sleepy mind. Yes! Time to see what they were up to! Sniffing the ground, he wandered to the entrance of the den and into the sunshine. It made him blink after being in the dark cool earth, but he climb slowly to the top of one of the hills and looked about...
There! He spotted some shapes near the glittering ground. Some were large and stripey but there were three Wild Dog-shaped ones he recognised. "Hey!! Mum! Whatcha doin'?!" He yapped excitedly, hoping they'd hear him.

Once they were there Ujuzi settled to lie down by the water's edge, ears always alert, but her overall posture relaxed.
"Alright, Shui, just don't go in past your chest, and both of you, don't disturb the Zebras." She warned gently, though by all means if the Zebra didn't mind the pups presence she saw no harm in them socializing. They were of no threat to said zebra right now.
Her gaze traveled back to Chafu, who seemed to have followed them. Ujuzi smiled a bit and wuffed, encouraging the younger son to come closer before she'd give answer.

Shui made a squeak noise as a high yip of being happy, also his tail was wagging faster then ever before. He nuzzled against his mom gently and padded over to the edge of the water and peered down. It was clear and moving, rippling with even the most subtle movement.
He loved it.
Tail still wagging he put a paw in the water, then pulled it back quickly for it was cold. Then he tried again and again until it didn't feel quite to cold to him. His blue eyes watched the water ripple for a moment, then he jumped in creating a splash and smiled. He stayed close to the edge, and just jumped and jumped. He loved the water. It made him feel nice. It was his special thing.

 A black ear flicked, and flicked again. It turned toward every sound. Most in particular the pater of paws upon the dirt. Indigo eyes blinked open slowly, staying only half-lidded. He looked into the distance and saw Ujuzi taking three of her pups somewhere. Ah, that's what was waking him up. Hm, such a nice thing to see. Slowly, Haveo stood and moved closer to the entrance of the den. If move wanted to follow their mother he should accompany whoever there. They were little ones after all.
He was now awake. It was very tempting to go out and hunt for some small game for the pups. Though the only things he'd probably get were some unlucky early birds, it would be enough for some of the pups but not all. Though there was also their hardworking mother and the rest of the pack. Sleepily, he scanned the horizon for any source of an easy catch. He enjoyed having a purpose.

The splashing of his siblings and the encouraging call of his mother were just too much to resist, he had to go over and join them! Bounding forward on new legs, he headed over at a clumsy sort of gait... until he sorted the black and yellow adult male. His ears perked forward and he changed direction.
"Hello! Hello! Who are you? Are you coming to play with us?" He spoke quickly and eagerly before heading off again in the direction of his family.
