Here's some of my stuff I've been doing lately. Most of it is doodling since I spend most of my time at work (telemarketing for a blood bank). I haven't gotten any comments about them from my co-workers, whether that's a good thing or not. stare

The last couple are fun for me to do, even though I dread using pens.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments then feel free to post. I'm always open to criticism. 3nodding

I really like the first few. The pen drawings remind me too much of a kind of sticker you'd get at a skating rink vending machine.

It really wasn't my intention for that result but since I only had stickies lying around I couldn't use it anywhere else. It is fun to do though. Attracts way less attention than taking out a pad too. I'll post some more stuff tomorrow.

Thanks for the compliment BTW *thumbs up*

You have a very unique flavour to your stuff- I approve 3nodding

Thanks again for the compliments, everyone. cool

Made this one while at work. Our boss called an hour long meeting about how our production wasn't up to par. But, when it comes down to it, we're basically asking people to see if we can stick a thick needle into their forearms and drain their blood. People just don't like donating blood. stare

Oh well. $9.50 an hour with potential overtime and raise = Teh greatness!!11eleven

A funny thing happened about those today. I was looking through my MySpace account and got a friend request from some people who own http://www.meleecomics.com and was complimented about my stuff. They even asked me if I could join them to make a comic. Right now it's only one writer and artist but since their hosting the comics for free on their site they believe it'll help spread word around.

I sent them back my approval earlier today so now I'm just crossing my fingers. It'll sure help spread rep. 3nodding

You're stuff is cool too. Defenitely love your coloring. Even bookmarked your comic. *thumbs up*

So last night I got a response from the guy asking for more examples.

TIP FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE SOMEONE INTERESTED IN YOUR WORK FOR HIRE, COMMISSIONING, ETC.
When someone asks for examples of your work show them different styles of your art. Case in point, I'm gonna show this guy some drawings I made during some drafting and drawing classes. If the person feels that a certain style would fit best for his/her needs then they'll pick it out. That and it will show that you can draw anything. However, DO NOT SHOW ART THAT'S MORE THAN A COUPLE YEARS OLD. You don't want your client to speculate whether your art has improved or not. Besides, it's better to show your new techniques and styles anyways... emo

That and don't show that person a million drawings. Show at least 10-15 of your best, most recent work.

So now I'm gonna pull together some cartooning and portrait pics. Hopefully they'll be small enough to fit in my tiny scanner sweatdrop . o O (Note to self: Buy a bigger scanner)

Edit: My cat walked all over my keyboard. What a punk. lol xd

I really like the style of the top three, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to use a few of the bottom pen drawings for avatars on MSN.

Keep up the good work, man. 3nodding
