It was the day when Bird disappeared. Raven had been cuddling up to Nana in her bed and dreams had haunted her. Life actually wasn't as easy since she'd become a child. She was woken by Rumkai's begging to wake up. Something definately didn't feel right as she woke and rubbed her eyes. As it dawned to Raven what had actually happened her eyes grew wide. She wasn't at home anylonger.
A girl with green hair and a pleasing smile stood in front of her. Her hair was curly and she looked to be in Raven's age. "Hello Blue Jay." Said the friendly voice. Something told Raven that everything would change from now on...
"How do you feel like ?"

Raven backed up a little bit, a little chirrup of surprise escaping her. Things were not right at all. Unconciously she tried to grab her teddy, Nana, but it seemed that her arms didn't function right any more. She didn't even seem to have hands!
It wasn't everyday however that things were like this. Raven had at least some kind of routine and despite the troubles she's had and Rumkai for that matter they've come out alright, however this was just too much. Deep down inside her, it seemed ... out of the blue, she became a bit beligerant.
"Where is here?" She squawked in fearful anger, but it was strange. She did in fact, squawk like a bird, however it seemed almost understood. It was her voice, she knew what she was saying.
"I want to go home is how I feel," she nearly gasped, quite nearly crabwalking backwards from the green girl. Wasn't the green girl older...? She couldn't remember her haunting dreams, this was too real too different. She wanted her mother and to see Alex, to have Nana. Rumkai drifted back with her, urging her to fly away, that she could really do it. Find someplace safe.
But where in the world was there a safe place from here, and how would she get there?

"No need to worry, Blue Jay." The girl looked down at the other one who appeared much like a bird to her. She smiled gently and eyed Rumkai and Nana suspiciously. "I'm not here to hurt you...no need.." She looked around and all she could see was a beautiful green land with wide open spaces and trees all around. It seemed much like paradise.
"This is Eden. Don't you know ?" Chuckling a bit she moved another strand of hair out of her face. Her expression became bitter. "But I think you can't go home, Blue Jay, somebody told me that your Mom...she's gone."

Raven cocked her head to the side as she peered towards the girl. Her calm words did much to soothe her... at least until she got to that last part. She... Can't go home?
But but... Mother...? Her shoulders drooped, the anger whooshing out of her as if a vacuum cleaner just sucked it up, leaving her empty.
Rumkai landed beside Raven giving consloling words. If her lips could tremble they would have been doing so now, if she could have started to cry she also would have been doing that as well. But she could cry no tears, for birds couldn't do that.
"This isn't Eden," she replied petulantly,"Not without my mother..." She flapped futilely, as if trying to flex her fingers to feel her hands. Where were they? She plopped back down the short distance she had lifted herself.
"I want to go back! Is there any way?" She looked as pleadingly towards the green haired girl as possible, which was a feat in itself. Birds faces weren't quite that equipped to show expressions.

Pity was revealed on the girl's face as she saw Raven's reaction. "There are no humans in Eden, Blue Jay..." She whispered and it almost appeared as if she was close to crying herself.
Shaking off the thought she looked at the bird and seemed to ponder. "There is a way...but...I don't know if it'll make your mother come back, but it leads to...it leads away from here." She said and looked around.
"You see that hill over there ? They say there's a hole inside..."

Raven was already up and hopping along. She didn't get very far. Rumkai scolded her as she looked rediculous. Who has ever seen such a determined bird hop along when she could obviously fly?
"I'm scared to fly..." she muttered in almost relief of the fact there would be a way out. But then something stopped her. She looked back up from her concentration of trying to 'walk' along on her avian feet.
Raven looked around the country side, and saw that it was actually beautiful. She wouldn't have minded exploring perhaps. Maybe eat a worm or two for old times sake to irk her mother. She tried to shy away on that subject however as she gazed at the place.
So, do I really want to leave? It seems so nice here. Even though somehow there was something wrong... when Tyy.. She couldn't remember what happened. Raven really didn't even know what exactly did happen anyway. Then a small bit of reality hit her, however. Raven hadn't even said thanks yet. She was greatful, wasn't she?
"Thank you, uhm, miss, -er. Thank you very much, " She pipped, adding as an afterthought, "Would... I be able to come back through the hole... Maybe?"

The green-haired smiled and giggled a bit as if it was a funny game and followed the small bird slowly. She looked out to not hit a single bug by walking and then stopped beside Raven looking at the hill and at the black something, which appeared to be the hole.
"I don't know where it came from, one day it was there. It seems to be like a large puddle which was washed out...I don't know why though, it didn't rain." She shrugged and kneeled down beside the bird.
"You can really stay, I'll be happy. Here are many others, they all have fun but they don't talk much to me." Smiling at Rumkai she continued. "I don't know...but once in a while animals come here so perhaps you can try and find a way to come back ?"

Rumkai, who was seemingly more anxious to be out of Eden started to flutter down the hole. Boy he was fast for a butterfly, and chattery!
Air! There's a draft down here. Air comming from the end! But now that it came down to it... Raven had to drop down. It was a hole around the hill, right? She figured that she could just hop along easily enough. She peered over the irregular lip and felt the barest of breezes.
"Rumkai," She whistled plaintively turning to look back to the girl, "Wait for me."
Raven extended a wing, as if to give a hand shake, but then remembered that she had no hand to shake with anyhow. She shruged almost ruefully, afterall she was (yet wasn't) human.
"Uhm. Again, thanks. But I will be back!" She added, a little softer as if Raven wasn't sure of her own self, "And with someone too, or you could join us?"
Rumkai called back to her. Did he really see light? She couldn't see him. She started to rouse herself to readiness in making that fateful jump.

Sadness seemed to be in the girl's eyes as she shook her head. "I'm not able to leave...I don't know how he did though." Quickly she grabbed one of Raven's wings and looked at her sternly.
"I don't know where your Mom is Blue Jay, but everytime we go away from Eden...they're new." She mumbled and then motioned the bird to leave before she turned away. Everything was going wrong and she didn't know why. Tears were rolling out of her eyes as she ran away from the bird and hole. She didn't know where it ended anyway...

Raven was stunned. Half of her wanted to run after and comfort the girl, and yet... Well the selfish part of her wanted her old life back. However, a small part of her knew that she would have to start over, and jumping down that hole was the start of it.
She took the plunge! Vowing to come back... when her life was complete as Raven, she would come back and have wonderful conversations with the green girl. But thinking back to that a momentary annoance flickered across her mind. She left Nana! However... Maybe the green haired girl needed Nana more. Raven smiled and wished comfort to the girl in keeping Nana in Eden.
The air drafts buffet her this way and that, however as a duck takes to water she started to take to the air. Using her tail and wings together she manage to start corkscrewing doward. She could just make out Rumkai. His voice echoing oddly, she had trouble understanding his frantic chattering.
Raven passed him as he fluttered back up, she gave a glance as to what was going on and then everything was engulfed in blackness. ... Raven's last thought where: Has something gone wrong?

And suddenly there was nothing but darkness and light and darkness and light and...
THUD !
Something hit Raven's head hardly and she didn't notice how her young body crashed down onto the asphalt of a street. Far away a pair of light was coming closer.
[[ Alright smile You can take it from here, you're not Raven's new guardian. Perhaps Tek finds her on the street or at the hospital or whatever you wish biggrin *snuggles* ]]
