well, just like any other relationship based solely on sex, this one here has long since passed its expiration date
if this guild had any real prospects, i might've stayed. but no. theres been 5 dozen too many goddamn threads about sex, masturbation, being bi and other bullshit that really...turns people off.
its called moderation people.
ive tried starting intelligent threads to educate and engage members, but they mostly fell flat in the wake of "questions on masturbating" or "post your picture and please accept me because i have no friends" i dont know why i joined such a pubescent guild in the first place. oh yeah, i know why. i joined because it was called the GAY BI CURIOUS GUILD not the 'lets talk about sex and whine about my problems guild'
really, it wouldnt be such a big deal if every time i dropped in, i didnt see it all the time.
and one last thing, that kid who always drivels about being hated and having no friends..the one who like tails so much...ever think you have no friends because you whine about it all the time? i know good people uglier than you. so stop bitching

It's curious that i don't know you, stevetom, and yet I couldn't agree with you more about this guild.
A year ago, no, a little over a year ago it was the perfect guild..
And I honestly missed it.. Started missing it when the big numbers of new members came to this place..
It felt like a loss..
I've pretty much stopped coming here, for the exact reason you've just described.

Couldn't agree with you more. The original thread that was marked as the GBC Guild in the guilds area was just a collection of friends talking about something and nothing at the same time. Id say the GBC Bar is as close as it comes to how the old guild was. The Guild System has changed the GBC. It made it easier to get many more members to add their 2cents and to overload it with people. With more people you get more chaos. Ive had many people ask me to make them mods so they could do something. Becoming a mod means you are maintenance: you move posts, chastise users cause they didnt follow the rules and become more stressed over peoples own faults. I haven't been in this guild in weeks and coming back I can see that nothing has changed within that time.
Ill say it again and again, if you want anything to change here you will need 100% participation or fail every time.
Being slighty responsible, ill be in from time to time, but I've truely given up. PM me if ya need me, ill be in slots sweatdrop

...also...I haven't seen many of the mods that I used to know...like...wordman disappeared...I see him every now and then. Also loginbin is hard to find...do you think the lack of original mods has anything to do with it? o.O

Well, I'm new here, and I have agree that the whole sex talk is too immature, but I have to say, You said quite a bit of mean stuff though, I mean yeah if someone whines a bit about having friends, maybe you should be a friend toward them, Help out. I mean, that's what I do, but I don't know the whole story...so yeah..XP

Yes, the nostalgia returns.
I remember the times with Dark Eagle Babe and wordman and all the other old members when I joined last year (I can't believe it's been that long). It was just pure randomness and fun (especially the games) without the constant questions on who's bi or gay or whatever.
Unfortunately, I've been more of a lurker during these past few months... I can't seem to find a thread where I could actually say something. *sigh*
Either way, I'll miss you stevetom. I've only seen you a few times in this guild, but you've always been a welcome prescence in my book. *hug*
