...because most of my stories are in the same Universe (this one still is) and orginally I was not going to have aliens ad what not, but I though it was a big Universe, why not?
This goes along the lines of Signs: begining with the cliched, but still enjoyable, crop cirles all over the world. It focuses on two very different families telling their adventures durning this time. The real surprise is weather or not the aliens are real.
I know, bad outline, but I made this on a whim. What do ya'll think?

Well, you said it yourself. It seems cliched. However, I like the idea of two people telling different stories about the same thing. It's intriguing. Plus, the debate of something being real or not but beign afraid of it nonetheless is quite Poe-ish. In that, I think you definately have something to work with. Do as you like though. Just my suggestions.

I agree with Cheese; done well, it could be great. But done too impromptu (isn't that a strange word? xd ), it could end up typical and boring.
However, I think you should go for it. Trying new styles is always good, I think.

Thank you both. I think the idea is developing quite well. As always it is the writing that stumps me....

To be a writer who knows what they want to write and cannot think how to portray it, when people think of us as being better than most people at that sort of thing. Basically, a writer who knows what to write, but for whatever reason cant. Writer's block seems so ironic to me.

Basically, a writer who knows what to write, but for whatever reason cant. Writer's block seems so ironic to me. I've never been good at writing (and I've never had writers' block). I've only been good at making stories. I could write it out, it just never turns out well.

Ah. So you'd be more of a story teller than a writer? Ever thought of just saying the stories aloud to people? Some fidn speaking easier than writing. I'm not one of those people, but there are some of them.

You'd probably laugh if I recorded myself speaking normally.

Heheh, same here.
I should do a "skit" of me using my amazing Boston accent xd It's funny, because it's not completely natural for me. I have a little one, but not like a lot of people around here..

I don't have southren accent, but I still say ya'll and yonder. When ever I say ya'll, Paul, a friend who has lived in California for his entire life, has to ask what I'm talking about. It wasn't until I met him that I understood not everybody said ya'll!
