EDIT: So, the third one was rejected by my art director as they wanted something different. Preferably non portrait based. So I'm adding in a fourth image, which is the new version with him as the main individual.

So I've yet to post any artwork here yet, I may as well get to it. Today I have some tentative finals for Fantasy Flight Games. I have no idea if these'll be accepted yet, though I suspect they will. They're far better than the piece I sent them last time - which was a visual joke waiting to happen gonk . Keep in mind as you see these that they'll be printed really small, like 2 inches by an inch and a half small - so small details weren't exactly a big concern.

Many thanks. I usually have problems with hands - I over think them then I have to correct and recorrect. This time I tried to keep it simple.

But yeah generally I try and recreate an oil painting type feel. It doesn't always work, but I can often enough get it close enough.

A custom brush actually, I like it because with a pressure sensative tablet it can resemble a paint brush - though I still prefer painter for the best effect. I have about 5 or so custom's I use regularily when using Photoshop, though I stuck to mostly this one to save time.

Here's a quick lil stamping of it.

Generally speaking I use this in conjunction with the standard hard edged photoshop brushes. I just didn't really feel like doing so this time. I like experimenting with new methods. Each one of my commissions teaches me something smile .

wow... that's really good... I wish we had a good program on our computer for drawing... all we have is paint cause we don't have any people here who are computer artists

I learned outside of a computer to be honest. Years of my experience were graphite based - I literally drew for about 6 years to build up my ability before hitting up photoshop and painter and the such. So y'know, let it build.

Use what you have. The program won't make you a good artist smile
