Braving the jungle on his own again, having snuck off before his mother had awoken or his sisters he went off looking for his "uncle tego" little did he know that his uncle wasn't around but soon he'd run into yet another female.
Hoping to find something reflective even if he didn't find his uncle, maybe he could have something to stare at himself in that his sisters couldn't mess up. "They're such a pain... always splashing and fighting... well Ku is Bu, bu's okay." He said to himself nodding as he walked, his black and purple pelt with a vine striped tail slowly stalking the jungle shadows.

One small black, white and gold cub had finally managed to sneak away from her family unnoticed- with so many lions there, it had almost proven impossible. With persistance and some stealth, though, she'd managed it. Of course, it helped that most of them were asleep. Janja was, however, continuing on with her attempts at stealth and was sneaking along through the brush, and from tree-to-tree as much as she could. It was a kind of game, and might be useful to be practiced in in the future!
Janja heard the whining of the other cub before she heard his feet, or any other part of him, an she immediately froze and ducked behind a tree. Her ears perked up as she tried to listen to what he said, and she grinned when she heard the last parts of the comments. It sounded to her like he was talking about siblings! She didn't really have much problem with fights, though one sister did seem more fond of playing than the other. She finally dared to peek out from behind the tree at him, surprised to see it was something .. strange.
"Hello," she squeaked curiously, raising an eyebrow at him. He was a strange looking lion, if he even was a lion. The only creatures Janja had come into contact with were lions, birds, bugs and other small jungle life- and he looked most like a lion.

Slightly startled nac took serval steps backwars before stopping and looking at the other cub. No doubt another girl. "Oh.... umm hello." He said looking around hoping there wasn't others.
"What are you doing out here by you're self?" He asked raising a brow as if he knew more about the jungle than she did.

Janja came out from behind the tree, swishing her tail behind her curiously. Her wore a curious expression as she looked at the cub before her, her gaze stopping particularly on his tail. It didn't look like hers, that was for sure! It didn't have the tuft of fur on its end.
"I'm exploring," she replied to his question simply, looking back to his eyes instead, "What about you? You're out here alone too." Her tone was matter-of-fact, and she did a quick check behind him and herself to confirm he was in fact alone too.

Nac looked at her brow lofted. She sure was looking at him awful hard, maybe she was thinking abou how pretty he was. His chest puffed out as he grinned, "I was looking for someone. that and I had to get away from my sisters." He said sisters in a bit of a -they're boring tone-
He looked around, "Yes I luckily ecasped them and their constant splashing and soaking me." He grinned for a moment before speaking again, "My name is Narcissus, what's your's?"

The little lioness noticed with Narcissus' chest puffed out proudly, and this only confused her a little more. Of course, it was much easier to figure out why he reacted that way than it was to figure out what he was- he thought he was being admired. When he explained why he was out alone, she looked around again.
"Who were you looking for?" Janja asked curiously, "And I have sisters too, but they're not that bad.." She trailed off- she obviously didn't suffer the same problems with her own sisters. Looking back at him when he introduced himself, she smiled politely, "My name is Janja. A-and may I ask what kind of lion you are?"

Nac blinked softly, "I was looking for my uncle tego." He stated simply. As he sat down watching the girl.
"I'll trade you my sisters for you'res if they aren't that bad." he nodded with a grin as if to offer to trade lives for a day, "I'm the only male out of my sisters and my mother."
He blinked, "Lion? I'm not a lion... I'm a leopard... well my mom is... We look a little bit different but not much." He said witha grin. "But it's nice to meet you Janja."

"Uncle Tego," Janja repeated under her breath, shaking her head. She'd never heard of a Tego before, and wouldn't be able to help any. She too took a seat, curling her yellow and black tail around her feet.
"I don't think you can trade sisters," she replied matter-of-factly, with a bit of a laugh, "And I think my parents would rather keep them. My dad's the only male of all of us, he's stuck with me, my mum and my sisters." It was her turn to hold her head proudly, but it tilted back down when he explained that he was a leopard and not a lion.
"Oh," she murmured, looking him from head to toe again, "That's why you look different, then. I've never met a leopard before." She didn't even think twice about the 'my mother is a leopard' comment, in her knowledge both parents were the same species.

He looked at her, "You have funny markings." He said as he pointed towards the yellow tattoo on her shoulder and stripes on her tail. "Who'd you get those from?" He asked curiously.
"Aww that's too bad. I wish we could. Maybe then I wouldn't always have such a head ache." He looked at her tilting his head, "I know how you're dad feels, being the only male. It's a hard job."
"Well I guess you're a lion and that would make us even. Because i've never met a lion before." He giggled as he looked around.

"You have funny markings too," she replied with a humorous tone, she wasn't trying to be mean but merely returning the comment, "I don't know exactly, my mum is yellow so they probably come from her. The funny one on my shoulder isn't on my mum or dad, but my sister is blue so I don't know if you have to get colors from your parents." Janja had gone over this in her head before, especially since she had a sister who clearly stuck out. Jedi looked like a black version of mum, Janja looked like dad but with yellow and strange shoulder marking, but Ekevu was.. just blue.
"I think dad is ok with it, he likes to play with us," she smiled, and nodded again when he said they were even. "I am a lion, and you're a leopard. Do you know if there are lots of leopards in the jungle?"

"Yeah I don't know where I get my markings at all three of use arew different myself and one of my sisters have black from our mother, but I have a purple hind half and my viney colored tail," He snugged his tail licking at it, "And my sister has yellow marks on her paws and face. But my other sister is half yellow half pinkish colored, like the inside of fish."
He shook his head, "The only ones I know of are myself, my mother, sisters and uncle tego. I don't know of any more... I don't even know if my father was a leopard or not." His tail flickered. As he yawned softly, "Are there many lions besides you're family??"

"Your dad doesn't look purple, pink, yellow or viney?" she asked, tilting her head at the strange, varying descriptions the little leopard offered of his siblings. Maybe everyone was randomly colored, but then why would she and Jedi look so much like their dad? Coinsidence, maybe. She'd have to ask mum about it.
"I think there are other lions, there can't just be me and my family," she nodded matter-of-factly, it didn't make sense to think they were the only ones, "Maybe we just haven't seen lots of other leopards and lions?"

"I don't know my father..." Nac answered her softly looking around head tilted towards the jungle.
"Do you want to go exploring with me? Maybe we can find ungle tego or maybe we'll find a bunch of flowers that would be pretty to pick."

"Oh," Janja blinked, frowning apologetically. She knew that his father was not around, he'd made comments suggesting he was the only boy, but that didn't necessarily mean he didn't know who he was. Of course, the uncertainty of his species alluded to that as well. The little cub scolded herself for not realizing it sooner.
"Ok, that sounds like fun," she smiled, getting back to her feet, "You'll have to tell me what uncle Tego looks like so I can look out for him too, though."

Nac shurgged his shoulders his mom didn't mind so he didn't seem to mind much that he didn't know.
"Oh yes ungle tego is another leopard..." He grinned, "Ugly brute if you ask me, but I didn't say that." Her tail flickered as he walked hoping she'd follow, "He's black up top and white on bottom and he's got a few gold marks. You'll know him just by his temper." His shoulders slightly rolled. "I don't think he'd think twice about eating someone our size... but he'll mostlikly go after me if we meet him." His tail one again flickered, "We had a bad first meeting."
