Little white paws tapped over the ground as the little rouge firekin walked, she was shivering hard from how cold it seemed to have gotten at the dusk. Why did it have to get dark? It had never been this cold on the desert, but then Khepri had always crawled under the sand to warm up her thin fur.
The savannah however was different, they had cold winds all the time and the sun didn't bake down on the grass.
A sigh floated from her white marked muzzle and she sat down in the middle of a sunfilled clearing. Her scars weren't sizzling like she was used to them doing, probably because the sun wasn't so harsh.
"Ah'm so bored 'ere." Khepri grumbled out angrily at herself.

Purple intense eyes was watching a rabbit from a distance. A little rabbit where sitting outside it's little home in the ground and eating on some grass and leaves it was rather unaware that a cheetah was watching it from distance. The cheetah just flicked his tail a little while he concentrated...and concentrated...
His move had to be perfect if he was suppose to get any dinner at all. He was hungry he hadn't eaten anything all day just water. It could be hard spotting the pale cheetah in the high grass in the the darkness his colorfull mane wasn't showing so much either. Yes that was right this cheetah had rainbow colored hair on his head..

A crunch off to her left brought the juvenile lioness back to her senses and she swung her tarnished golden eyes in the direction of the white blob in the distance. From what she could see the blob was hunting, but as its head popped up out of the grass Khepri almost fell over.
Not only was the blob a cheetah, but it had a mane that made it look like the creature had dunked its head in a rainbow.

Standing on her white tipped feet, the little firekin female trotted in that direction, keeping her eyes on him, though occasionally flashing them to look over at the rabbit the thing was hunting.
When the rabbit looked like it would move, she froze, when it was fine she moved slowly.
Even if it was a strange freak of a cheetah, Khepri still needed some directions.

The male cheetah twiched his tail again and his muscels looked really tense and in the right moment he attacked...with his quick legs it was even hard to understand that he just moved just like shooting off a bullet the cheetah took a giant running step and he cought the rabbit! Yay! now he had dinner...he was holding the rabbits neck between his jaws and waited a few minutes before he was sure it was dead...then he smiled and looked really silly he started wagging his tail and puurrrr slightly " Yes! dinner for me tonight~~ "

Khepri's eyes got really wide as he shot off away from her, not because she was upset that he ran away, but because she was shocked that anything could move so fast. She'd heard of cheetahs, but it wasn't like she had seen them or seen them in action before in her entire life.
"Woooow! Yo're really good, yo' are!" Khepri called out to the white spot-less cheetah in the distance. She started to run over towards him as fast as her bulkier legs could, though she was trim by lion standards, if you compared her to a cheetah she looked fat.
"Ah've nevah seen anythin' like tha' before!" Khepri crowed when she got to him.

The cheetah liked his pray he was so happy this was just what he needed but suddenly he heard someone talking? oh was it someone else here? and he hadn't noticed that wasn't good, he had been so concentrated on the pray he had stopped listening to the suroundings so stupid off him. He turned his head around and saw a lion....
He cleared his troat a lion?! he grabbed his rabbit and jumped up in the nearest tree " Ok that wasn't nice don't scare me like that you....you lion! " he had never seen a lion up close at all only from a long distance and he always kept them at a distance..
He looked down at her with his purple eyes..but she looked rather small...

Khepri's face fell and she looked down at her white paws for a moment. She'd left her family, there was a hole in her heart that had once been filled with the love of her father and mother and siblings, but now it was just empty.
"Ah won' 'urt yo'. Ah don' like violence, and besides, mah family is back in Firekin lands. Ah'm all on mah own." Khepri said with a light shrug.
"All Ah wanted was ta ask yo' if yo' knew anythin' about the Ela? Or if yo' even knew where they were?" The firekin asked up to him, her tarnished golden eyes shimmered a little in sadness, the pain of leaving her family still hurt her quite a bit. But it was her own fault, she hadn't had to leave, but she did.

The cheetah raised an eyebrown and watched the female lion from distance hm she didn't look happy..maybe it was something he said? he didn't know he didn't know her. He put down his rabbit on a branch and put his paw over it so it wouldn't drop down.
" Oh? that was odd to hear but you seem like a person you could trust but i am not sure with lions yet....my brother was attached by a lion as little maybe that is why i have a hard time finding trust in them "
He smiled his brother had survived after all so that was nothing to worry about anymore but the trust for lions wasn't big. Hm ela's? no he never heard off them at all was that a special kind off lion? well he didn't know but there wasn't much lions around here maybe near the jungle?
" Hm no sorry i dont...but maybe you find a few in the jungle over there i just came from that direction "

"Oh, Ah'm sorry abou' yo'r brotha. Not all o' us are tha' mean, but there are some tha' just like to 'urt othas. Ah hate those kind o' lions." Khepri glared at the dust for a moment and drug her claws through it, imagining Naraka beneath them momentarily. Though the anger passed.
The jungle? Hadn't she just been there and there weren't any?
Now she was a little confused, maybe they had been there, just a little further in than she had gone. The jungle had been even hotter than the desert, though it had been comfortable at times, at other times the bugs were just... there were just too many bugs.
Shuddering a moment, she turned her eyes back up to him. "In the jungle yo' say? Maybeh. Ah can go look back there again." She smiled up at him brightly and thumped her tail on the ground in happiness.

" It's ok...he is ok now " he smiled and listend to her words about not all lions being meanbut he still didn't know he had just met this lion and that was it he couldn't compare to that. Then he decided to jump down he couldn't sit there all day and he could always make a run if he had to..
" Hmm well maybe they isn't there...i know there are just a few in there but i haven't seen a pack maybe you should look in another direction? "
He took the rabbit in his mouth and jumped down from the tree then he noticed that the lion wasn't big at all...rather embarassing that he fled from her he blushed a little and put down the rabbit infront off him..

Gazing up at the larger cheetah, Khepri pulled her small paws against her white underbelly in a show of trust, if she didn't have them in front of her she was off balance. It was out of respect that she kept herself in a vulnerable position in front of someone she'd never met before, especially when they were so much larger than she.
"Ah came from the jungle... maybeh Ah can check off to the west now?" She mused to herself slightly aloud.
"Oh good, long as he's okay tha' is." Khepri said up to him. "Mah name's Khepri. It's nice ta meet yo'."

Still watching the lion he started to wag his tail again and he was still a little pink from feeling embarrased from thinking she was off any danger oh well everyone makes mistakes but it was still good running then not. He looked at her paws and then he bent down his head and tilted it to the side to see her face...
" Hmm well i would try west maybe south or even north if i where you...where is your old him? in what direction? "
" Well i am Hinotama...nice to meet you to i guess...i never tought it would say that to a lion but i am ok now "

"Mah old home is east. On the desert tha' spreads out for miles." Khepri told him with a bright smile. She was proud of where she came from, though she didn't like the violence or inbreeding, she was at least happy with that.
"Ah've been lookin' for the Ela' for a few weeks now. Not entirely sure where they' at though. Tha's why Ah'm wanderin' so." She said softly at last.
"It's nice to meet yo' Hinotama. An' keep in mind not all o' us are mean or cruel, just some. Though Ah guess bein' safe is better than bein' dead." With that Khepri shrugged a bit

Hinotama nodded hmm ela's what word was still new to him but lions hadn't intressted him anyway he just hold himself off distance from them it was easier that way so he wouldn't end up getting ugly scars like his brother his body would be to perfect to have scars...
" Hmm maybe that are much far away from here then...i am sorry that i can't help you " he sighed it was sad when you didn't find what your where looking for but it couldn't be impossible nothing was..
" heh well i am still going to keep my face from there noses ok...i am not stupid that i go near lions prides "

Khepri laughed a little and stood slowly, her tail shifting back and forth. It was time for her to go south then and look down there. Regardless of if Hinotama could help her or not it was time she left anyway.
"Well, in that respect Ah can undahstand." Khepri said with a nod to him. A smile crossing her white muzzle and her little white paws tapping on the ground.
"But it's time Ah left sadly. It was nice ta meet yo' Hinotama." she said with a bow and before he could say another word she bolted off south over the grasslands. She really needed to find the Ela' soon.
