do u no wut toe stands are?

*if not, they are when u jump in ur tap shoes and land on ur toes. they are the same thing as going on ur toes in a pointe shoe but in a tap shoe. u do not stay up there long and you jump off onto the ball of ur foot.

*if u do, its the same thing as a regular toe stand but with one foot. i think they are very hard.

I would like to help, but can't. I don't remember how to dance tap anymore. I was very little.

Well I don't do tap, but I've done it recently in seminars at competitions, and I watch the tap classes sometimes. It looks like the best thing is to point your toe as hard as you can, so you can get all the way up. Maybe look into wearing ouch pouches for a while, until you get used to this? You can find them at your local dance store, they are typically used for pointe. Gel pads or lamb's wool might work, too. ^.^

Well here's how I do it...well I can stand on my toes in jazz shoes even though it's bad for my feet I do it sometimes. u do on the very tip of your tap shoe not on demi pointe on the very tip of your tap shoe and stand.. it'll hurt at first but u can hang onto a barand do it then let go when u think you're ready not all that hard when u get the hang of it

there pretty easy once you get the hang of them... so practice and you'll get it.. and I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but, this year my tap shoes I had, the toe of them kinda turned up more then the rest of the shoe, so everytime I would do them I could never stay up... I got so frustrated with those shoes that I plan on buying split sole tap shoes.. xp
