When I first saw this movie, "Blood: The Last Vampire" my mind immediately cried out "Carole Anne!" -- those of you who follow the "Sands of Time" RP in the misc forum will know who she is.
The original Carole Anne was, and pretty much, still is physically resembling Saya (this picture). Problem is, when I made up Kyari was because, well, I had virtually kissed Carrie goodbye and intended to *remake her* as the demoness we know today. Well, characters are known for taking a life of their own.
When I dug up a picture of Saya, I still yearned for Carrie. But the thing is, although personality-wise Saya and Carrie are virtually parallel, Kyari and Saya have more in common. For one, its the katana-- the virtual lack of emotion in slaying, the disdain for creatures like herself. Background, agenda and pretty much everything else, Carrie is most similar to Saya; she sees herself as not a tool or a hired assassin, but a filter -- a cleanser of sorts.
But the fact that Kyari and Saya are both Japanese with strange mix of features, the demoness won the toss.
The edits: the eyes. They went from red to an amber green with a hint of glow to them as to hint to the surreal and demonic aura of the Ki'mei.
