Hallooo
So I am a book collector. And Currently, (well, for the past year or so) I've been collecting, among other things, Terry Pratchett Novels. There is a definite emphasis on the Discworld Novels, but I've also got some other stuff, such as Good Omens.
I'm wondering if there are any other Terry Pratchett Fans? I just find his writings Extremely hilarious, and find myself unable to explain WHY. I suppose it's just my kind of whacky humor.
I was wondering what other people's fave Terry Pratchett books are, and if they'd recommend him to be read?
My fave is Going Postal, and I totally recommend a read biggrin

Oh man, I love Pratchett. I've only read Thud! and The Amazing Maurice's Educated Rodents, but that's merely because my library does not have a wide selection.

He writes satirical fantasy novels, mostly for adults but some for teens. They have a little bit of slapstick comedy along the lines of Monty Python, but are also witty and sarcastic. He does allot of really quotable humor. I love British humor, at least when written (I don't enjoy about half of their comedic films). My favorite is probably Jingo, although anything with Vimes in it has me jumping for joy. I can't think of any I don't like.

I love Terry Pratchett. My dad buys every book as soon as it is released. I just think his imagination is fantastic, whilst also basing the occurences linked to real-world goings-on.
I prefer his older books to some of his latest ones though, because I think they've become more serious and not as amusing as they once were..plus I love the characters that have been there since the beginning, as opposed to his new ones which I just don't feel the same for...
I absolutely love the Wizards (especially Rincewind), the Witches, the Watch and Death.
Have you seen the Hogfather movie?? It's absolutely fantastic..I really love Mr. Teatime. blaugh

I am planning on reading some Pratchett novels from the Discworld series over the holidays. Seeing the movie Hogfather has piqued my interests.

I read Discworld and Good Omens, and I keep meaning to read The Amazing Maurice (etc.), but it isn't as interesting for some reason. rolleyes
