The Japanese are known for their hospitality, their electronics, and their love of putting slogans into English without consulting anyone with a command of the language. I just thought it would be funny and fun for people to talk about their encounters with Engrish, it can be songs, posters, marquee signs, anything you read and went "wait a minute?" It will be big time fun!
We're not isolated to Engrish from Japanese, if you encountered any gratuidus use of Japanese (Enlanese? Japanish?) here in the States (or Canada or wherever you are) do tell.
I haven't been to Japan yet, but I like to check in on
Engrish.com once in a while. As for bad Japanese, I might have to go find this brochure where someone with no Kanji knowledge very feebly copied some characters in a bad way.
And now the first verse from the Yatta Video!
It's so easy, happy go lucky.
