((Only Asi, Ari, and Ari cubs (any and all) may post!))
Ari had been away from the Kusini lands for a few months. Because old age was beginning to set in, her movements from the old rogue lands to her homelands were delayed much longer. Then, the fact that new life burdened her stomach was a whole new deal. The sad thing about that...They weren't her mates.
The first few days she had left the Kusini lands, she had come in contact with an old... 'acquaintance'. Let's say that run didn't end to well, and left a battered Ari with the heartache of her being 'unfaithful'.
But still, the female moved towards the Pridelands. She had to tell her son about his daughter living in the Kusini lands.
When Ari returned to her homelands, her stomach was rather bulgy. Her movements were extra slow, allowing anyone who had seen a pregnant lioness to know what was wrong with her. She sighed. Oh god how was she going to tell Asi this?
Mentally cringing, a small kick awakened her thoughts. Oh please, not now!
Unfortantly, cubs never wanted to wait.
Moving as quickly as she could, the female hurried to the abandoned den near the forest. There would be no way she could make it to her den in this time.
Laying down on the uncomfortable floor, she grimmaced, crying in pain at the first contraction hit home...
--timeskip--
A few hours, and a whole lot of breath later, the queen of the Kusini gazed sadly over the three newborns nursing at her stomach. Three beauties...yet three horrors..

The comforts of her mother's womb had been left behind her, and she was left to brace herself against the harsh coldness of the new world. There were few things that made the newborn calm in this new world. Her mother's warm body was one of those comforts, the smell of her, and the feel of her as she suckled on her mother's teat for food. A small process was coming into play. She would eat, sleep, and wake up again with hunger pangs. Always she seemed hungry, always she seemed to demand attention.
A pitiful cry died against the cold earth of the old and abandoned death. The little cub, little girl, whose pelt seemed to be simply one color at this point in her life, nudged her head forward, demanding her mother's soothing voice, that rough and tender tongue. Mother. Mother. Love me Mother.
Mother didn't have a name yet, didn't need one in the young cub's mind. Mother was Mother, perfect, simple, beautiful, loving... everything. The life of a newborn was wonderful, for they only knew one thing, and that one thing was there for them. Mother. Mother. I love you Mother.

The oldest of Ari's newest litter was curled up close to her mother, no more than a small fuzzball at this point in time. She was snuggled as close to the warmth of her mother as possible, small mouth clamped over one of her mom's teats and suckled quietly.
The cub soon had her fill, and was content to be snuggled into the one being she was sure of... excluding the other two fuzzballs that had shared mother with her until just a little while ago. The cub's head formed as it popped up from the rest of her, head turning as she gave a soft mewl.

*The youngest… the last born, crowned with a soft layer of blood lay beside his mother and siblings, unaware of the world around him. He didn’t call out to her… he didn’t move much. At first glance he was too still… but there were movements every now and then, and soon soft mews passed his tiny maw as he gasped for life’s embrace.
His light brown eyes softly opened and as he gazed at the form of his mother… her color… her sent; He felt safe for some reason… beside her. She was warm and he could feel her heart beat through her whole body. Though he was too young to know who or what she was to him- this young cub felt so safe with her near him.
His tiny paws, laced in a soft brown color pushed against her as he did his best to get closer to her. He longed for her approval already. He was beautiful- he was ugly- he was his mother’s son, her last born.*

At the sounds of life stirring from their meals, Ari glanced at each and every one of her new children, the warm smile once again gracing her lips. So...they weren't Asi's...but...they were still hers! They...looked somewhat like Asi, right? Oh lord how was she going tell him! Letting her emotions getting the best of her, Ari's head lowered to the ground, her eyes holding back tears. This wasn't good. Oh no, this wasn't!
She began to sob, small tremors running through her body. "Asi..." She cried out softly. "I'm...I'm so sorry." She teared up, curling around her cubs for comfort.

Asi was lumbering toward the dens with a cheerful smile on his maw, he was not really sure if Ari was back or not... but something about the air told him his mate was near. That's all he needed, a feeling. So he was off to check it out, he'd just been to see Sye. Six wonderful grandkids! It was unfortunet some of them had to look like Uumi, the ugly buggar. Not that his grancubs were ugly!
His nostrils flared as he approached his and ari's den, but he didn't have long to dwell on the weird scent because he heard his loves voice. Sorry? "Ari?" His voice sprang up in alarm and he quickened his pace. "Wha' be wrong, Ari?" He panted slightly as he stopped dead, spotting his mate and... three cubs?

Tear-stained eyes looked up at Asi. "Asi.." She whispered, spotting the one she had fallen in love with a while ago. "I'm so sorry!" She cried out again, curling herself into as much as a ball as she could get into. "I...they..he.." She couldn't find the words to say it. The charcoal female whimpered, not being able to look the adult in the eye.

His head went numb. He was dizzy, confused... hrut, especially. But she sounded so... distressed. He suddenly moved forward, his heart racing. He didn't know weather to be pissed or just... sad. He curled himself at her head, lightly licking at her shoulders and neck. "Ari.. wha'... wha's goin' on?" He whispered. Almost as if this occurance was completely normal. He just wanted to know... what had happened.
On her trip! He couldn't have done this to her, could he? "Are... these... do these no be mine?" But he already knew the answere before he asked.

Ari shook her head, her words being caught in her throat. The only words she could even muster was the apology she repeated several times when the mocha male had entered. He hated her now, didn't he! Gasping slightly, Ari cried once more, burying her head carefully in the mass of fuzzbals to her side.

The dark cub heard another sound, one that was not mother speaking, even if the words were not understood. Mother's voice had changed into a different tone, one that was not good in the little one's ears, the soothing voice having changed. She felt her mother's face seeking them for comfort, and that little head rubbed affectionately into her fur, another small mewl escaping her maw.

He didn't know what to do, what to say.. how to get her to tell him what happened or how to comfort her, so he simple stayed curled, staring at her dark neck, listening to the three newborns.

A new presence. A presence that was not mother, but had her scent lingering in his fur. The little cub cried out in her distress, unsure of this new big monster who had came into the den and was now curled up with Mother. She wanted everything to be perfect once again. She wanted things to be just her mother, her sister, and her brother. This added lion certainly was welcomed in her mind.
Her head burrowed into her mother's side, her cries becoming louder and more distressed. Mother was upset, and if Mother was upset, then she would be upset too. It was irrational, but a cub's thinking wasn't rational. Too many things were happening at once. There was this new big lion, and now her mother was terribly upset.

As the two little girls began to show their distress towards the new mother, Ari was awoken slightly from her own trouble. Crooning softly to the small cubs, she murmured small comforting words to her new children, licking at them, she whispered, "Sleep little ones...Just...sleep." She crooned again, laying her head back down, closing her eyes before glancing towards Asi.
"...Please..." She said softly towards her mate, in desparation almost. "D...don't leave me." Her eyes closed again as exhaustion over took her. "I...I didn't wan...want this to..to happen." She hiccupped.

*All of the new sounds played back into his tiny ears like a horrid symphony of cries and sorrow. He disliked this noise… he didn’t like the feeling he was getting as his mother’s heart-rate changed. Though he had not noticed the new being that spoke to his mother, due to his placement along her he did not care. He did not cry though… he would not aid in the making of sounds… it was unpleasant to his tiny ears and made him curl up away from his sisters and mother.*

Asi winced from the little squeals of some of the cubs, eyeing them helplessly. His ears flicked back at her words. Was Ari.... was... he was putting tow and two together, to say the least. His breathing began to increase a little, and he surpressed the horrible wail he wanted to let out. "Of course I no leave yeh, e'er.. no ma'er wha'.." He said, looking pained. What were you supposed to say when your mate was raped? "E'erythin'ell be alrigh'.. 'oo did this teh yeh?" He almost snarled at the end. He'd kill them! He would!
