Remember early in the race when Kevin ran right between Denny Hamlin and Teammate Jeff Burton and nearly wrecked Hamlin? Doesn't that seem kinda...stupid of Harvick? I was actually kinda suprised that Hamlin didn't peel the back off of Harvicks car when he had the chance to. What's everyones opinion.

I think he should have definetely been penalized. A point deduction and fine seem too harsh, so I'd give him a drive-through penalty.

Rubbin's racin. 3nodding
Yeah, sure it was an aggressive move, but you can't go penalizing people every time fenders touch. It was no harm, no foul for everybody involved and look where it landed Harvick.
That's the type of racing I love, where everybody can touch fenders and keep on trucking. xd

Yup yup, rubbin's racin! This is one of the reasons I watch Nascar, to watch these guys push their cars to the razor's edge, even if it means leaning on another car. domokun They were fighting for the lead after all.

when its only lap 37 in a 300 lap race you should be taking care of your car to put yourself in position for a good finish or a win. Don't get me wrong, im not saying that guys shouldnt lead laps im just saying Harvick could have waited a few more laps for a hole to pass instead of nearly wrecking Hamlin.

They were racing for the lead. When he made that stupid move, he moved Denny Hamlin back a couple positions. That lost Hamlin a chance to get the five bonus points, and possibly defend the lead. I know it was only the 37th lap, but in NASCAR, anything can happen.
