Orpheus lead the way to his place, to where Terpsichore was hanging out while he waited for his skin to finish its awful peeling. It was an hellish process that he hated so much! He just wanted for it to be over and done with, it was getting better though, flaking off finally instead of just being loose and itchy.

The snake was laying on his back, half watching TV but not completely as he was scratching at his belly a piece of his skin coming off and he tossed it aside. He rolled over, his coil as flexing and bunching a moment before he crossed his arms and buried his head against them, hissing in an angry sort of way, damn this shedding stuff! Stupid shedding, stupid skin, stupid snakeness! Damn, damn, damn, damn! Just thinking this didn't help any he wanted to scream it out!

"HISSSSU!" He snarled, hands clutching at the carpet angry at the last of words, he opened mouth trying again and again and again to get the words he could so easily think to work.

"DAMN IT!"

Orpheus froze in his tracks as he walked into the door with his guests, for a moment shocked... then rushing forward, "Terpsichore?" He gasped, kneeling down in front of his son. Holy... had he just said something? Anyone that knew Ter even in the least bit knew that he couldn't talk, didn't talk... so this was more then a little surprising.

Orpheus looked over his shoulder, "Sorry about that, hes never..." He paused, how to end that. Never cursed? Never spoke those words? Never... spoke? "Its... odd but I am actually glad to hear that even as a curse he... said something." He flushed a bit, moving back up to his feet to let Ter see his friend.

Ter looked up at Alaqua, flicking his tongue out at her before he seemed to suddenly know her from her scent, "Hissu?" It seemed that no more words were going to be forth coming at least at the moment, annoying in his mind but the fact that he'd gotten two out was a major accomplishment in his mind.

Ter reached over to picked up the DVD case for the movie that he was watching, showing it to her so that she could read it. The series of old '80s cartoons that he was obsessed with 'G.I. Joe' he liked it cause there was a 'Cobra Commander' in it. He liked to think of himself as that in his mind too. He pushed up so that he could draw his coils to him, sitting back on them. He looked like hell, he was flaky, his coloring was dull, and he didn't seem all that happy, though the appearance of a friend seemed to perk him up and make him forget about being itchy.

Ter's eyes got bit then he smiled, seeming quite excited about the fact that she both thought that it looked good and she realized that HE was the Cobra Commander. He nodded his head rapidly, even flexed as if to say 'Yes, thats me' to her, then flicked out his tongue. So long as she understood what he did. Nobody else seemed too.

Orpheus couldn't help but smile, "He seems to be perking up." He murmured then looked at Niki, "Thanks for accompanying me here."

Ter blinked at her then flicked out his tongue again, slower this time as if to show her how to do it. Then grinned a bit, yes! He liked this girl, the more of her scent he took in the more he started to recognize her. He met her when he was younger, one of the first he'd met that wasn't family. The far end of his coils started to flick back and forth, showing his excitement over finally placing her.

"Ligeia... You know thats a good question. Hes no doubt out wandering with Vorel, his dragon. The two have been working on flying, making a mess with ice, and... ahh... sewing." He said. Ligeia had taken it up and had been making decorations for Vorel that matched with what he wore. Something Orpheus wondered if he'd picked up from another of the children, maybe the one that had helped him with his learning to sew.

Ter clapped his hands at her attempts finding it fun to see someone else try to flick their tongue like he did. It was funny too, he'd never really thought about it before as it was something natural to him. He then started to shift a little, lifting a hand to scratch at his skin again, another long section of it coming free in his nails and he tossed it aside. Below the dry, crusty bits of skin that had been removed were now brilliant colored scales.

Orpheus nodded, "Yep. He seems to like it and got some help picking out books from one of the other students a few days ago to get better at the skill." He said, wondering if he should explain exactly what it was that Ligeia was sewing these days.

Ter looked down as he was poke then gave a little smile, he made a motion to the pieces of skin that he'd already lost which was sitting in a pile, then over to the parts of himself that were shiny again, "Hisssu." He explain, trying to show her that once he got rid of the itchy extra skin he would be all pretty and colorful again! Not all dull and icky looking... "Hissssannoying." He said. Then blinked as he realized he'd gotten another word out in again, sorta though it was still a hissing version of a word.

"I've done it only to piece together Ter's stuff bear, he was always chewing on it when he was little and its pieces would need reattached." He said.

He nodded, it was annoying as it was uncomfortable and itchy, it made him want to lay around and do nothing, just hide out so that people couldn't see him. He didn't like looking ill which is what shedding made him look like in his opinion. He itched at another patch of skin again, the end of his tail twitching and his coils flexed and shifted.

Orpheus laughed, "Ter's bear looks like its been through a war." He joked, amused at the look of the thing but as the boy liked the stuffed toy he didn't mind at all fixing it up now matter how many times it had to be done.
