[Optional BGM: Theme of Payon - Ragnarok Online OST]

The outermost, and southernmost, island in the Seafoam archipelago, Island 1 is the gateway to the Seafoam experience. Featuring sparse grasslands, a small village surrounded by forests, and the only civilian international airport in the archipelago, Island 1 mostly caters to the incoming traffic of Seafoam. The airport and main harbor both lead to Gateway City.

Centered in the northwest section of the island, Gateway City contains a number of shopping malls, civilian and military welcome centers, and is the place to go for visitors wishing to get a small sampling of Seafoam's history and culture.

User Image

Surrounded by the deep forests atop the mountain overlooking the southwestern horizon of Island 1, Payon Village is home to the Recreational Archers' Association of Seafoam. The villagers are a friendly folk, and are not against technology in any fashion; they just prefer living closer to nature. Payon Village features both a Pokemon Center and a Poke-Mart, the designs of which have been chosen to blend in with the native architecture of Payon.

User Image

Just north outside the village of Payon, an unassuming cave entrance in the side of a hill leads to the most dangerous place on Outset Island, and the place to which Pokemon trainers are inevitably drawn. Here is what is known by the locals as "Payon Dungeon," a three-subleveled maze of underground passages.

Trainers entering the Payon caverns must survive through two levels filled with aggressive, mostly undead, monsters that are not to be confused for Pokemon, and cannot be captured under any circumstances. Most of these monsters are openly-hostile toward anyone they detect, but some creatures are nonaggressive and simply wander around idly. And, obviously, the deeper one goes into the caves, the more dangerous the monsters become.

User Image

The goal of trainers is to reach the third sublevel of Payon dungeon, which houses the ancient ruins of a prior village destroyed in a landslide that created most of the cavern system. Here, trainers can take a reprieve from the constant onslaught of aggressive beasts from the prior two levels. Be warned, however, that a small handful of aggressive monsters populate this level as well, though most of the inhabitants are harmless female spirits that drift about peacefully.

arrow Off The Coast Of Island 1 In A Patrol Boat

The sea. Calm and mysterious as ever, possessed an attraction for Mayura Kaitou. Why else would she get a job where she spent all her time out on the dangerous substance in a simple, mad-made contraption. As she slowed her patrol boat to a stop, she stood, turning off the engine. Climbing over to the anchor, she paused, gazing out over the glimmering and smooth surface of the ocean in which the island could be seen in the distance. Today was indeed an easy day for patrol. You could see for miles. She then began to lower the anchor, Latias now hovering over the water and playing some. She finished, securing the anchor and just to tease her friend, stood and seemed to stumble forward. Latias flew over to catch her, but stopped when she realized she stood straight again. The Latias' voice chimed happily and caught a small treat as it was tossed to her.

Mayura then went below deck, pulling out pokemon food and heating up her leftovers from that morning. Distributing the pokemon food throughout six bowls, she called out Gardevoir her helped her bring them out on deck while Mayura carried her own plate. She then threw up four pokeballs. Out came an Espeon, Swampert, Skitty and Salamence. Espeon pranced around fro a bit, nuzzling against Mayura's leg for a pat on the head which she indeed received before going over and starting a game of tag with Skitty who seemed to be chasing her tail. Gardevoir set the food down and each pokemon hurried to their respective bowls, Latias and Salamence on the front of the boat, Skitty on the table, Espeon and Swampert next to the table and Gardevoir sitting next to Mayura.

Mayura set down her plate as well, taking in the aroma of the heated up leftovers and smiled softly. "Eat up!" she cheered as they all dug into their meals. She paused after a few bites, standing and hurrying over to the radio. She received a call from a nearby patrol boat and upon hearing the voice, twitched softly. "What do you want?" se responded, getting a laugh in return. It was a short conversation about how things were going and the clarity of the waters which seemed ominous. She smiled as she hung u, truthfully pleased to speak to one of her few friends in the unit once again after a few weeks.

Medixia

PostPosted: Sat Dec 02, 2006 8:56 am

:Medixia felt at home for the first time in a long while. With Xin and Giga at her side, she had good friends to experiance this with. She hadn't really met or made any human friends since she came here. It could, partially, be her fear of accidently poisoning somebody with her uncontrolled Trainer abilities. She lets out a deep sigh as she looks around where she's wandering. Medixia takes note of the encroaching forest near where she is. It's nice. The fresh air with the hussle and bussle of the city to her back. The cold wind blowing is calming, soothing. She's relaxed, so no poison exudes from her body. This, in turn, relaxes Xin. As a psychic Pokemon, he knows he has to shield the world from the poisonous mists that sometimes creep from her body with even the slightest tension. Giga, of course, is as, well...ignorant and blissful as she usually is.:

:All this gives Medixia time to think. What did the Psychic Mistress mean by "training" her? Could a Master of another element really help her? Medixia has to wonder. She'd always been so weak to psychic energies. Even her Abra, Xin, had to be carefully chosen to ensure Medixia wouldn't be brought to harm. Of course, he had to be chosen so she could communicate, freely, with any Pokemon she had at her side. Could the Psychic Mistress really help?:

Strange... I seem to keep giving her honorific names... Can I really not wrap my mind around calling the Psychic Mistress by her familiar?

:Xin and Giga look at her rather...perplexed by the rhetorical question.:

arrow across the water from island 1; ocean

Optional BGM: The Servant - Cells (from Sin City)

You know, when these things happen, they don't happen small. Nope, that's the way it is. The far distant shadow on the ocean is enough to even give the bigger water pokemon on the surface pause. When the shadow comes from a floating country, that sort of thing happens. Not an island; a country. Almost a small continent. Underneath this floating monstrosity was a sword. A really big one. Well, you get the idea. A powerful aura ripples around the gigantic sword, and a massive blue beam fires from it, down to the water below. The white beam creates a huge sheet of ice, and an ice bridge shoots from the main sheet across to the mainland. On the large sheet of ice appear five people.

From right to left, first, the largest of the four behind the one in front. He's got to be seven and a half feet tall. He's got a pair of designer shades on, green hair, and a ponytail. He's in a deep olive green three piece suit, with silver stopwatch hanging out of his pocket. He's wearing boots made for kicking a**, and has a Buster-Sword sized sword strapped to his back. There's a lit cigar in his mouth, and he's walking in sync with the others, a slow paced walk.

Second, a woman. She's most likely Half Chinese and Half Japanese by the look of her, but she has bright red hair, and a bored look on her face. She's wearing a Chinese black dress with a firey dragon going along it in a circular pattern, and little slippers. Her hair is long and loose, and slightly curly. A pair of little glasses sits on her nose, and she's got a whip on her side. The dress is slitted up the legs to her waist nearabouts, and she looks like she's in between thirteen and sixteen. She's a little thing.

Third, a decidedly Japanese man. He's wearing his hair in a topknot, and in a dark blue silk martial arts shirt, with similar pants. He's wearing sandals, and has a daisho sword set, sheathed and set in war position. He's not wearing any kind of glasses, but his hands have what look like gloves on them..fingerless gloves. He flexes his fingers in his gloves, and he's got a sort of Jet Li look..except he's Japanese.

The last fellow has long blonde hair, in a braid down his back. He wears what looks to be an old time suit, probably from sometime in the 1700's. It's got a brownish color. Very retro. He's got on loafers, and a stylish cape that goes well with his clothing. Strangely enough, a large sash of prayer beads is thrown around his body, and he's wearing a monocle. A pipe hangs from his mouth, smoke curling gently from it as he walks in pace with the rest of the group. He has a cane, which looks good for him.

And the guy in front of the four of them? Number five? He's a unique sort. Long white hair flows down to his thighs, and he's in a fine Armani. His shoes are leather, and his hands are fully gloved in expensive white leather gloves, which contrast well with the black suit. He's got a sword at his left side, and a pistol of some kind holstered at his right. A pair of shades sits on the end of his nose, and his pale violet eyes gaze across the ice bridge as he walks, a smirk dancing across his lips. He adjusts his gloves, and brushes a speck of imaginary lint from his shoulder. He's got one of those half-capes, that wealthy folk tend to wear when stepping out. They almost look like a group of people from a movie or something..walking in step..you could almost hear the theme music if you thought about it.

arrow Island One; Docks

The young japanese woman was resting down on the dock, watching the five on the ice bridge. She herself was, in comparison, no laughing matter, as the first Saint on Seafoam. Of course, any number of things could be said about her, but who in the world would be willing to say it?

She was dressed very casually, in her almost, well, anime style clothing, a black hakama and kimono that lay spread open, her chest bandaged from waist, to just above her breasts, her sheathed sword lain over one shoulder.

She too look like she stepped out of a movie, of course, it was a much older movie, but eh, such is life. Her long hair was plaited back into a single braid down her back, and she grinned a feral grin up at the group that was approaching, one arm lifting in a wave of sorts. May as well be friendly.

arrow Island One - The Ice Bridge

It was rather subtle, the movement out of the gathering crowd of the trio of men. One was a Fire Master, the others, trainers of Ice, and Psychic. As they moved through the crowd, the people seemed to almost part around them, as slender tendrils of inky darkness wove their way out from the feet of the Fire Master. Strange, he shouldn't have the ability to do that.

Yet he could, and as he walked, that wasn't the only change. The next change was subtle, as his long red hair started to bleed out to white, his facial features changing, and when he was finally standing on the edge of the ice bridge going upward, he, and his companions were vastly different.

These were not the trusted Masters and Trainers of Seafoam. These were the invaders from the ships that had left not too long ago. Garbed entirely in black leather, they knelt, one by one, head bowing to the man with white hair, leading the five on the bridge. They had been invaded from the inside, and had never known.

"Sashiburi dane, Shachou."

arrow Bridge on the River Seafoam..errr..Ice Bridge. XD

The man in the black Armani adjusts his tie, and just smiles. So this was the place. How droll. A hand runs through his hair, making a sweep motion, and he gazes at the approaching group. He just does a little hand wavy, and nods..before snapping his fingers at the other four. The group walks with the leader again as he passes the one who came from the opposite direction and his own little group. Those three will do what they need to do when the time comes. Himself and his four..they were the more pressing of the matter, and they'd come to pay a call. He stops once he stands on the island..adjusts his gloves again..and turning to a random citizen, he simply says..

"Take me to your leader, earth-man."

Which draws chuckles and snickers from the four behind him..and he raises his head and touches his glasses, lowering them a little in response to the woman's wave..that's all anyone gets just yet.

arrow Island 1, Shore

The man in the suit sighs and he watches the people just sort of stare. He nods, and the four figures simply seem to vanish. He looks over at the other fellow and mutters..

"Take care of this island, would you? Make sure that this isn't used as a main point against my initiative. I need to knock on someone's door, and I really don't want any interruptions.."

And that said, he simply gathers a ball of black and violet energy..he gazes at it for a moment..then flicks his wrist, sending it across the sky..and he waits..and waits..then smiles when it impacts here he wants it..which is..

arrow Island 1, and stuff.

The man in the suit cracks his neck and flicks his wrist, again calling into being a ball of black and violet energy. This was becoming repetitive, and he builds up the ball into a larger shape this time. About the size of a beachball. He tosses said ball into the air, far far into the air, where it starts to spin rapidly. it then proceeds to unload blast after blast of the small projectiles he fired at island four earlier, over various islands all over seafoam. By the time the ball is reduced to nothingness, it's fired about fifty or sixty of the things, all over the place.

He just giggles and spins around like a ballerina..or a top.

"What fun."

Optional BGM: Battle in the Dungeon 2 - Final Fantasy XI OST

The earth fragments, splitting apart in a jagged fissure ten feet long and four wide, from within which emerges the cloaked and battle-ready form of General Chris Ganale, from his uncovered head down to his Attack+2 steel-toed boots. [Earth Element/Transphase]

Upon clearing the fissure, the Earth Master turned to face the intruders, eyes narrowed just so. He really didn't trust outsiders anymore, not after all the ******** and bullshitzu Seafoam's been getting recently. Not looking away from the man, he waved his hand in the direction of the fissure, which promptly reburied itself. [Earth Element/Manipulate]

"Somethin' I can help you with?"

arrow Same place he has been..

The white haired man raises an eyebrow as the man comes up out of the earth, then closes the earth behind him. Hmm, good entrance. Not bad at all. He shifts, and starts to draw his blade..then seems to muse on it, and decides not to. He reaches into his suit, and takes from it what seems to be a sphere, about the size of a Materia, save that it's silver in color. He holds it in his right hand while he appraises the figure before him. He finally speaks, adjusting his tie with his left hand.

"Perhaps. I am here to annihilate anyone who I choose to, simply because I can. I do that sometimes, you see. I have this thing where you know, I sort of go into this withdrawal, and I haven't totalled any civilizations for a while..I guess you can say it's really kind of a hobby for me. Where are my manners? I am Julias Vandole, the Dark Emperor. I exist between worlds, spreading despair and suffering as a career. I guess I'm sort of like a lawyer, except I use explosives."

It shot through the air faster than one could follow... skimming above waves and land with abandon, leaving torrents and furrows in its wake. It was just below supersonic, in fact, as it arrived over Island 1, where it stopped all of a sudden with no slowing down or warning - and it fell from the sky like a meteor!

It streaked to the ground, slamming into the earth with a violent fury only several metres away from the Earth Master and Seafoam General, Ganale, leaving a crater that crackled with the constant hum of electricity generated by the force of the impact... and then it moved.

On one knee, within the crater, Kain Ra'Shiel had arrived. Indomitable exosuit of the black persuasion carried the Komm out of the hole with a single thrust of its left leg. His face was hard-set and unmistakably dominative, trained on the man before his old friend Ganale.

"Is this the miscreant?" He spoke, seemingly to no one at first... until from his shadow appeared in a purple haze Myuutsu himself, levitating next to his partner with arms crossed and tail twitching. Kain nodded in response to the mental affirmation. "Then, what are we going to do about him?"

The sleek armor's manipulator arms folded back into the suit as the upper combat arms punched large claw-fists together with Kain's motion. Two tubes on each of his shoulders clicked and hummed almost silently.

An eyebrow is raised when Ultraman's less gay cousin fires out of the sky with the psychic cat-thing slowly appearing afterwards. Fascinating. Julias dusts himself off from the extra dirt, and he continues palming that little silver materia-shaped thing. The man's eyes close for a moment and he smirks..then he opens his eyes wide, violet energy sparkling in them as he laughs, showing little fangs, like any standard anime bad guy would. Yeah, he knows his part well.

"Well now, how interesting, a draconian, here in this little hovel! Fascinating, I hadn't thought to find something like you here. Power over dragons with your unique abilities is one thing but you're actually a hybrid. You'd be interesting for an experiment if I hadn't experimented on your kind ages ago. Still, there are dragons here that are different than the ones I'm used to, so you'll do. The rest aren't important. Although..."

His eyes flick to the cat-creature in the powersuit..and they narrow..

"I might have to become serious, should you join the battle. For now, I'll assume you won't be using your full power. I'll just use this weapon. It's safer that way, for all the people here.."

Strange he says that, since he was talking about blasting civilization to ash. He draws the gun at his side from its holster..instead of the sword that he has sheathed. If his logic says the gun is less mean than the sword..well..

Ganale's hand had been on the hilt of his mercurial greatsword, ready to draw the poisoning weapon, skip the usual round of banter, and go right to the face-pwning, when Kain stepped in and basically ganked the fight from him.

Shrugging, Ganale smirked and fixed his eyes on the future Master's back. "I guess you've got this one, then. All the well. I can sense my Element being picked at, and I don't care for that at all. I'll be off to deal with that little pebble then."

With that, and with a theatrical flourish of his long cloak, showing Ganale to be as much a victim of anime cliches as the next villain, the Seafoam commander-in-chief turned away to begin the quick process of opening another fissure to 'Earth-step' through.

arrow Shore 'Nuff

Kain's right manipulator arm moved out to the side, giving his old friend the thumbs-up. The dracon smiled his toothy grin out of the bubble towards his opponent, mentally bringing up his sensor arrays and targeting systems. They weren't necessary, of course, but they helped sharpen his skills and increase lethality...

Right combat arm extended slightly, bearing with it an OICW Landwarrior. He wastes little to no time, triggering the weapon with impunity... full-auto NATO rounds filling the air, ripping towards the target locked-on within his reticle. Diversionary, if these guys had the balls to attack Seafoam up front, his first barrage was going to do no real damage... but the 125mm Gustav mortars barking from his back, dropping frag and incendiary rounds just might be enough to force his opponent to somewhat tip his hand.
