Okay kiddies, it works like this. We got tired of the drama and p***s-bashing in the FFA, so we decided to mosey ourselves on over to our own personal haven where we could keep our storylines pure. Thus we've reformed Liberi Fatali into something we hope will be just as awesome: the Republic of Seafoam.

More information and stuff is to follow.

Rules

1. Kill 'em before they kill you.

2. Common sense is the rule of thumb. AMP gets you laughed at. When in doubt, the likely answer is no.

3. This goes without saying, but save the OOC for the OOC thread, unless it's relevant.

4. In an RP, first use the proper thread, then use the arrow emote to indicate where your character is at said location.

5. Again, it goes without saying, but if you godmode, you're going to [Insert violent form of death here].

6. Character death only occurs as a plot device (if necessary), and with player permission.

7. If Skirata said it, you'd better do it.

8. In the event of characters who do not have players, or the encounters with masses of NPCs, story-tellers, or STs, will control those characters, and no one else. A list of STs is below.

9. New players must fill out the character sheet that can be found in the "Personnel Roster" thread of the Database subforum, and post the sheet in that thread. Old members can do this if they want to, but are not required. I will, however, eventually try to revamp the character sheets so they're more streamlined, so stay tuned.

10. Everyone should be used to this by now, but always use the arrow indicator to let people know where you are in a particular thread. Some locations, such as the Gardens, can be used in a number of threads.

17. Always make sure they're dead.

23. Never pull sentry duty on an empty stomach.

39. Never say no to bacta.

45. Any crash you can walk away from is a good one.

89. One's an anomaly, two's a trend.

100. If you want your vehicle to survive a crash, never start your battle cry with 'Raven's lead the way!'

Current Storyline Info

A mysterious floating continent has appeared in Seafoam territory, and from this continent have come a quintet of individuals bearing strong multi-Elemental signatures. These figures have dispersed to various locations around the archipelago, and battles have broken out in some of these locations.

Their leader, a man named Julias Vandole, has stated that they are here to eradicate all life on the islands...

---

After a number of battles, the intruders from the floating continent have withdrawn from their conflict areas and left Seafoam relatively peacefully, all of them dispersing parting 'treasures' of some kind to their opponents. It seems that Vandole's intent was only to test the will of Seafoam's defenders to fight, and having been satisfied, has decided to withdraw.

In the meantime, civilian advisor Faust has announced international plans to kick-start a new Pokemon League, giving trainers a month to assemble their teams and prepare for the Pokemon showdown of their lives...

Updated Class List
Full Descriptions Coming Soon

Warrior - Specializing in the arts of battle, warriors are masters of all aspects of combat. Warriors are a very versatile melee class that can equip almost all of the armor and weapons available, and thus and can fill a number of different roles. Warriors have the ability to wear heavy armor and tank, protecting their comrades from the enemy attacks. Warriors are also masters of the powerhouse Axe and Great Axe weapons, and are among the most powerful damage dealers around.

Scoundrel (Rogue/Thief) - Specializing in covert actions, scoundrels aim for the perfect opportunity to attack the enemy from behind. Scoundrels can inflict massive amounts of damage while 'tricking' the enemy into thinking it was someone else.

Scoundrels also have many tools at their disposal to get out of sticky situations. Not only do they possess the highest Evasion rating of the available classes, but they also have abilities such as Flee and Hide, which allows them to escape most dangers unharmed. Additional abilities such as Steal, Gilfinder, and Treasure Hunter, as well as their unique ability to pick Treasure Chests and Treasure Coffers with their thief's tools, makes the Scoundrel the optimal choice for acquiring gil and items.

Fringer - A class representing those who live in the far reaches of the galaxy, they're good at learning new things and fixing broken objects.

Technician - A character adept at using technology and repairing broken equipment.

Scout - Similar to the ranger class, the scout is an excellent addition to any group.

Summoner - By making pacts with the the legendary "avatars," these heretic mages have unlocked the secrets to the hidden magic of the world.

Chaneller - Specializing in the darkest of dark magics, channelers commune with the dead and can command creatures of the night.

White Mage - By using recovery spells, White Mages can ensure a party's survival. White Mages are the premier healers in the world, and are nearly indispensable when forming a party.

Black Mage - Through devastating magic spells, Black Mages bring tremendous firepower to the battlefield. A Black Mage's job is simply to cast offensive spells and destroy enemies. In battle, Black Mages are often called upon to participate in skillchains by finishing each chain off with a magic burst, adding even more destructive power to a party's repertoire.

Red Mage - Red Mages are called the Jack of All Trades by many, and this is an accurate description. Red Mages have the ability to cast white magic, black magic, and fight with swords and daggers. Though their healing, nuking, and fighting skills aren't as good as those of the specialists, White Mages, Black Mages, Paladins, and Thieves, they are still competent. Their real strengths lie in their enhancing and enfeebling skills when within a party, and leveraging their many "trades" against their enemies when outside of one.

Samurai - Forthcoming...

Ninja - Strict training in the forbidden arts of the Far East have transformed these fighters into cold, hard killing machines. Ninjas are an elite job class that combines Katana blades, Ninjutsu magic, throwing Shuriken, and high natural evasion to complete its tasks.

Monk - With their bodies that double as deadly weapons, monks attack enemies with explosive strength. Monk is designed as a Hand-to-Hand weapon specialist, and is capable of wreaking havok with fast and furious punches.

Dark Knight - To strengthen themselves in battle, not only have these outlaw warriors mastered the ways of numerous weapons, but they have also acquired certain black magic spells to torment their enemies.

Paladin - Paladins specialize in close-range combat, just like warriors. However, through long hours of spiritual training, paladins have acquired the ability to cast white magic spells, making them even more valuable on the battlefield.

  • The following classes are considered Prestige classes for Elemental Mastery

Trainer - The lowest tier on the ladder of Elemental Mastery, Trainers exhibit only rudimentary control over their born Elements, effectively only slightly increasing the inborn strengths/weaknesses of their Element, as well as imbuing a Pokemon of compatibale Element with a portion of their power.

Master - The middle stage in the ladder is obscenely higher than the level of Trainer. Capable of utilizing full control of their Elemental abilities, the extent of a Master's power can only be judged on a case-by-case level. Under no circumstances should any Master be taken lightly. Multiple Masters for a particular Element can, and often do, exist at any given time.

Saint - Until just recently considered to be only a rumor, the Elemental Saint is the pinnacle of mortal Elemental Mastery. In this transitive phase, the Saint literally becomes the deity of his or her Element, and their power level is immeasurable. Saints are easily identified by having hair and eyes that match the color of their Element, and by Master cloaks that take on the attributes of their Element. There can never be more than one Saint of any given Element at one time.
