A pair of white paws worked their way over the savannah. It was deep night, so deep at night that even Akiiki was having a bit of trouble seeing with his bright silver eyes. For some reason he hadn't been able to sleep, the dreams were getting more violent.
A few minutes before he'd awoken he'd seen a god rip out the throat of a dark brown female lioness that he'd never seen before. She'd died so visciously while trying to claw at her attackers, a large white lion opposite sobbing and trying his hardest to flap his large white wings despite them being broken and his legs broken.
The god looked a lot like his father, without the markings or anything.
It was all so confusing, but the death had woken Akiiki from his slumber and caused him to lose every ounce of the dinner he'd eaten. If these dreams kept getting much worse he would have to talk to his father about it.
A sigh floated from Aki's muzzle as he rubbed his violet topped hiead and frowned. ninja

Dumu fidgeted in his sleep beside his father and mother. Beads of sweat soaked his fur as he tossed in turn. His dreams...no, nitemares....no....vision, was violent and strong much more than he had ever experienced. He forgot how he fell asleep. Usually he was up and wake, never sleeping unless he was alone. His powers just had a wierd way of making him an insomniac. The dark red cub wondered if his brother was like this.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!
Abrupty, Dumu jerked up, panting heavily. His violet eyes looked around him. Only the orange fur of his mother and the massive structure that was his father. Looking around, his brother was not with them, where did he go? The older brother slowly got to his feet and left his parents. He would call for them if he needed them.
He wandered about following a faint scent he knew well of his brother's. Where was he going? Together with the thoughts of his brother was that of his vision. The blood, the cries....it was tramautizing. He pushed it aside and looked around for this brother.
"Al?" he called out in a raspy voice, "Al, where are you?" he called again. Where did he go? He was probably out there picking up some stray rabbit.

A soft call met his ears and Aki twitched visibly, still upset about his visions that haunted his waking and sleeping hours. Dark rimmed eyes lifted and gazed off towards the direction of Dumu's voice, tears still streaming down them silently. There was a bonus to being tortured by your own mind, it kept one from making noises at strange times.
"Ed?" He called out over the distance to his darker red brother. Sometimes Aki wondered if Dumu went through the same thing that he did, though he wasn't certain.
A flash of light and claws raked down through the small cub's body, splitting it in two as it's eyes stared up into nothingness.
The sight of it when he was awake caused a loud scream to rip from Aki's muzzle and he put both of his paws on his violet head for a moment, shivering in an almost painful looking position. Tail thrashing, the demi-god debated running off so that Dumu wouldn't see him like this, but his legs wouldn't move from shock and lack of sleep.

Dumu padded closer when his brother called his name. Dumu rushed to him faster when his brother cried out in fear. What was happening? Upon getting closer, he saw his white brother on the ground in what looked to be pain and horror. Something had happen, then again what didn't with this family?
"Al! Al! Get up! What happened? Al!"
He shouted, nudging his brother over and over again. Upon one of the touches something also happened to him.
The screams of a female, the cries of young voices, and the sob of a grown adult.
Almost instantly, the demi-god fell to his knees. His eyes closed shut. That noise...it was death inducing!
"AL!"

He felt a couple of pokes on his back paired with Dumu's voice calling his name and telling him to get up. But, the pain of the visions and the anguish that came with seeing death in his own eyes... it was enough to freeze him.
"E..d?" Akiiki managed to work from his muzzle. He didn't want his brother to be in pain, but he'd just screamed his name.
"Ed... it's... it's okay." Aki said softly as he forced his white legs to move. "Get up." He said finally as he shook his violet head.
Blood splattered over the ground and another small body slammed to the ground next to the other, this one much smaller.
Akiiki jerked his head a little and grunted.

Dumu opened his ears, nothing....no screams, no cries, no sobs, just Al's voice. Al.
"Al...?" He called softly, recollecting himself to his feet. "Al what was that?" he asked. Dumu's abilities must've been different from his brothers. His catalyst is of those around him. When he touches them, he gets a current thought. When he sleeps near then, he gets their memories or dreams of the past. Sometimes random occurances come.
Aki looked distaunt. Dumu, being the older brother collected him into his arms. "It's alright, Al. Don't worry, it's probably nothing....just relax and forget." he whispered. It may look awkward, but it was his brother. And the vision? He just hoped this one did not happen, it was too gruesome. Already he had thought of who it was all. But...why? How? It could not happen....right?

"Yeah, it's me Ed." He said, the dark rings under his eyes shown out in the moonlight on his white fur. "That was one of my visions. I'm sorry you got it. Sometimes... death is just too much."
Akiiki looked down at the ground and sighed as he curled into his older brother's body. He already knew that it was okay, his father was still alive wasn't he?
"I can't believe that dad went through... all of that. I mean... how could someone live after watching four of their family just... get killed like that." Aki asked slowly. One of the bonuses of being so cursed to see the past and the viscious visions that caused them was that death didn't scare him anymore.
A dark red body streaked off through the darkness as the last of three cubs fell to the ground limp, blood spraying over the bodies that already laid there.
Akiiki's stomach churned and he jerked away from Dumu as he was suddenly sick all over again in the grass.

Dumu let go of him and watched his brother sick on the grass. It must be horrible what he saw, he was lucky that he only got partial of it. Dumu felt horrible about his brother. He reached out hesitantly but pulled it back.
"Yeah...Dad has gone through alot...." he said, "We cannot relate. All we can do is be there for him, right? Make him happy?" maybe he was preaching nothing but his own desires. He loved his father, seeing him happy was what he wanted. Did his father want that?
THe darkred male came to his brother's side, resting a paw on his back. The stench of one's stomach content gave a stingy smell that made his nose flare. "You alright, Al?"

Wiping his mouth with a white paw, Akiiki stood up completely, shaking the entire time as he nearly crumpled from the weight of his older brother's paw. It was such an innocent gesture, but for some reason, from Dumu it meant a lot.
"I... I think so. Normally the visions end there." Aki said looking down at his feet and sighing. The normally bright white hyper cub was now rather somber.
"I don't know how he has... but I think... us, just being us and being alive has made him a lot happier. Though I could be wrong. He looks at you a lot and makes a sad face." Akiiki said gently, though from his visions he knew why. Dumu was the same color as two of the cubs he'd seen killed in his visions.
He just didn't want to tell his brother that.

"Well, maybe it is because of this." he said, pointing to the Eye of Horus on his forhead. It was also the problem for himself. People keep staring at it and it got annoying. During a conversatio, the focus would be on him, not that damned marking. "It's just so annoying..."
Dumu licked his brother's ear softly, "Are you sure you are going to be alright? I don't want anything happenin' to ya." That was most of his reasoning, the other bit was he didn't want to get another vision. If he got a vision then Dumu would not touch him in fear of also getting it. That scene was enough to tramautize him. It was rare for him to touch others, but this was his brother. Family was an exception.

"I'll be fine." Akiiki said at last, sitting down beside Dumu, though he was careful not to touch him, since he knew of his brother's abilities despite not being told of them. He'd seen him react to touches before and it didn't make him happy. "Don't worry, one day your mane'll be so long that no one'll see it anymore."
He winked at his brother and stood up slowly, his legs were cramped and his stomach still rolling from the visions of blood. He was sure that he'd pass out, though he wasn't exactly happy about it.
"I'm sorry. I guess there are just... some things that... we just don't share." Aki said gently. He was rather clingy and it killed him not to hug all over his brother and nibble at his ears, but he didn't want to hurt him.

Dumu quirked a brow at him, "Are you scared to touch me? I do not care about what would happen if you did, Al. If I get a vision then so be it." he said hugging his brother. If Al knew he could hug him then he would have. Dumu hugged his brother softly, nuzzling his fur. "Don't worry about me, I can handle my visions." Flat out lie.
"Al...is there something that you would hide from me?" he asked. It was something he was started up starting now and perferred to have his brother as the first. He wanted to know all he could from a person, otherwise if he touched them he would discover it and would be racked with paranoa. He had to know things of a lion so he would be able to touch them, then he would not be shocked at anything that his visions show him. "If there is anything, you can tell me." Dumu smiled softly.

"Honestly? Yeah, I'm afraid you'll see what I see. I don't want you to see what I see." Akiiki said as he pulled from Dumu's grasp. He knew it was stupid, he knew that there was a lot of pain in not being able to play around with his brother... but he just... couldn't.
A tear slid down his white cheek as Aki glanced back up at his brother sadly. "Neither of us can yet, you can't lie to save your soul, Ed." he said smoothly.
Though he had to admit that he didn't want his brother any other way, despite the fact that he lied to him.
Turning his sad eyes away when he was asked if he was hiding something, Akiiki frowned and looked down at his right shoulder, where rested the heiroglyphics that made him a lot different from any others. The ones that marked him as his father's son and the ones that showed just how much he was different.
"Yeah... there are quite a few things, things that you might not understand and probably would hate me for actually." the demi-god said at last. This was all depressing. He didn't think Dumu or even his parents would understand.
Standing he walked a few paces off and stood in the shadows with his head hanging. Night was the worst time of all.

Dumu got up and followed his brother, coming to his side. He didn't care what would happen to him, he just wanted to be there for his brother. Aki was all he had that he could relate to and his parents didn't entirely understand him like his brother did. Aki was all he had right now.
"Al, if I touch you, I might get your vision instead of your memory. If that happens I will know what you are goin through and we can go through it togehter. Please, don't evade me like this." The demi-god spoke, leaning down to look up into his brother's eyes. He too was marked just as he was. He inherited the Eye of Horus as he their father's heiroglyphics, they were both different and they were both marked as their father's son.
"Al...."
"If I touch you, if I sleep near you, I will fall into your memory and dreams, one way or another I will find out what you are hiding from me. Is tha what you want? Al, I love you, please, just tell me what is wrong I hate seeing you like this." Dumu nuzzled against him, luckily no vision attacked. He purred softly and looked up at his brother with pleading eyes. "I am you're brother, you can trust me."

"Ed... These visions that I have, they're not something that you could take. Both of us were given different abilities for a reason, you weren't meant to see what I see, even if you possess that eye that lets you see anything." Akiiki said slowly in a heartbroken voice. "If you were to see how our parents lost everything you'd probably have a worse reaction than I do... but if you're so curious then I can show you."
His head hung. He didn't want to hurt Dumu in any way, he was his brother and he loved him more than he loved anyone. His brother was the only one that he knew of that went through the visions he did, even if they were different.
"It's embarassing." He said with a blush, looking away from Dumu as he pressed and nuzzled him. It was hard to tell your brother the way you felt about the same sex, it was weird to admit that he wasn't as straight as some were and that he'd actually thought about other males that way. What else was he supposed to say? How did one even say that so bluntly?
