Devunde sat at the shore of the lake. Since the young godling wasn't far from the den his mother had trusted him to be safe among the pride. And really the young male wasn't doing anything that anyone should worry about. He was resting back on his haunces, his white fluffy wings folded at his side as they animated on their own like drifting clouds. His dark gray gaze was focused on on the lack's reflective surface and the sky above. He didn't quite understand it, but he always liked looking at the clouds and always had a strange longing to go up and fly among them. But from watching his sister's clumsy attempts at flight he had been discouraged. For now he bound to the earth, no matter how he wished to join the skies.

Chamiyu padded along the soft sand of the lake, humming a happy tune to herself as she kept her eyes open for more herbs. This time around, she was searching for a water plant that might sometimes wash up upon the shore. With her blue eyes searching, they came to rest on a little blue white body. Slowing down in her trot, the black lioness tilted her head as she came before the little cub.
The cub had wings! Could this be the God of Clouds that Mteuli had spoken to her of? He was adorable!
"Halloa, little one," Chamiyu greeted, stopping just a couple feet before him to give him space, "What are you doing?"

Even though Devunde didn't recognize the voice, the didn't look back to see what it was. He remained still, almost like a statue, his eyes never moving away from what he was looking at. At first it didn't seem like the young one was going to speak, but after a moment he murmured in a soft voice, "Cloud watching." Yep, that was what he was doing. Though he might have thought it was obvious but...he didn't really mind, since he wasn't paying attention.

"Cloud watching, huh?" Chamiyu said in a soft voice of adoration. She glanced up at the sky and watched the lazy puffs of white drift across the sky. She smiled as she glanced down again at the godling cub and laid herself down for a bit. She had been walking all day so she was relatively tired. "Do you see anything in those clouds?"

"Yes," Devunde murmured casually, "Clouds." He really didn't understand her question and didn't seem to have bothered to think over it either. The little god was too caught up in his silent pleasure of watching the sky to really attend to her words. Mother would have scolded him for being rude. But the small smile on his face was obviously a happy one and made him look rather adorable with all his poofy fur.

Chaiyu chuckled softly, her amusement never ending as she observed the tiny godling, "And tell me, little cloud-watcher, what is your name?" She asked, tilting her head to watch his never disconnecting eyes. The clouds reflected in him, called him, were him and she could see his longing to be within his realm. His little cloud-like wings were adorable and Chamiyu could only congratulate her goddess Kiva with each minute.

Devunde turned his head to finally tear his eyes away from the sky. He looked at her with his dark eyes, mild curiousity reflected there. He hadn't met this one before. His animated tail curled around his feet as he tilted his neck slightly, batting his eyes once. "I'm Mavundevunde," he stated. It was quite a mouthful, even for a little cub. "But momma calls me Devunde or Devu." Now that was far shorter and easy to remember, thank goodness.

"Well, greetings, Devu, Prince of Clouds. Your momma gave you a beautiful name, you know." Chamiyu said with a gentle flower-like grin, still smiling at him with awe. The little godling had her captivated, both in the fact that she yearned for cublings of her own and that fact that she was talking with a godling child, "I am Chamiyu, the Healer. It's wonderful to meet your acquaintance."

Devunde cocked his head, unsure of what to make of this female. She said she was the healer...? That was kinda interesting. Not really that interesting or anything, compared to the clouds and stuff, but it was better then some of the other lions around. They didn't do anything different. "What are you doing here?" He asked in a serious tone, which was rather funny on one so young since his voice was high pitched and his eyes big and round from his age. It hadn't meant to come old cold, if it did, but he was really only interested in what she was doing right now. Devu had yet to be able to really understand anything that was out of his desire to understand.

Chamiyu understood perfectly what the cub was going through. She was very perceptive when it came to reading others, and reading the godling was easy and made her smile all the more, "I'm looking for a special plant that gets washed up from the depths of the lake." She answered, "This plant I'm looking for helps to heal wounds and make sure that they don't get worse."

Devunde blinked, his interest seeming to dull. Heal wounds? No one here was hurt...so...then it wasn't very exciting. He answered with a dull "Oh" before glancing back at the sky. Mmm, much better. He liked to look for things, sure, but...he wanted something to do when he found them. He didn't really understand why Chamiyu would be looking for such a thing. But grown ups were odd that way, he supposed.

Chamiyu laughed brightly and she shook her head with amazement. That little godling was so connected with the clouds, only interested in the things he found worth spending time on. The black lioness lifted herself up from the sand and began to take a couple steps back onto her journey, "Where are your sisters?" She asked walking to his other side and turning back.

Devunde's puzzlement about Chamiyu only seemed to grow. How would he know where his sisters were? "Not here," He murmured simply, though this was obvious. He really didn't keep track of his siblings. Even if he wanted too, Elly was pretty hard to track even for one interested. "Elly's probly off causing trouble though," He told her knowingly. His sister could be quite a handful. More so beyond the usual playfulness of any cub, normal or godling.

Chamiyu nodded and proclaimed, "I knew that she'd be a handful, but more fun all the same!" The female lioness looked upon the shore and she released a happy sound as she trotted to the water's lapping touch and picked up a wet weed in her mouth, "Here it is, you sneaky thing. You thought you could hide from me all day, did you?"
Then, with a soft movement, Chamiyu put the weed into the herb basket which she carried by a roll of twine around her neck.

Devunde looked at her with an odd expression. Never had he seen an adult act so...strange. He gawked openly, having yet to really see the importance of maners, with his gray eyes round and his jaw clamped shut. "Wha?" He murmured in open bafflement. Plants couldn't get away! What was she talking about? She made it sound like the plant had legs and could get up and run. This was sooooo bizare. He wasn't sure what to think.
