Yea, dramatic intro, but whatever. ^___^ Welcome to the Fai Theory thread, where we all post our fantastical theories on the warm blond and his frozen past. Feel free to be as crazy or serious as you like here. Anything goes - icons, fanfiction, screenshots, manga scans, long-winded essays, or short one-liners. If it gets us closer to the enigma that is Fay D. Flourite, then it's fair game.
Note: I will be changing the intro icons and lyrics constantly, so if you love Fai icons or lyrics, keep an eye on them. ^____^

I don't want to start a gigantic rant full of ridiculous theories, so I'll just mention one per post as shortly as I can... gonk
This is my most recent idea, and it's probably a stupid one: Again, it's an idea, not really a theory, but, what if Fai's actually the bad one, not Ashura-ou? Fai obviously sealed Ashura so he could escape, but... >_> Eh... Okay I'll shut up. I don't know where I'm going.

XD! That's what I was thinking about Fai, too, SyaoWoof. He seems to act as if he's a villain, especially with the way he tries to keep a distance from everyone he's met until now. o.o;

It depends on what he did. What may be villany to one person is heroric (sp?) to the next.
Maybe Ashura-ou would be really, really pissed when he woke up? sweatdrop I don't know, I haven't read RG Veda so I don't know what sort of person he is..>.>

Ok, so here's MY theory on Fai's past. -has put a lot of thought into it-
So Fai was all -zomglittle- and then one day he was like -check out my amazing magics-
And everyone was all, GASP he's got so much magics! And they were all like -shuns- And Fai was all like -sad-
Anyway...
Ashura was like Hmmm, this guy could be of some use to me and he's pretty amazing looking too, I think I'll make him my high magician and put this marking on him to restrain his magic, and also give me control of him when necessary! And Fai was like Kay.
And so Ashura was all like -uses fai in more than one way if you catch my drift-
and Fai was like -emoz- And because Fai was like -emoz- He decided to be like -makes Chi-
And then Chi was like -zomg i'm so cute- And Fai was like -teehee-
And then Ashura was like -whatevz-
And so many moons later Ashura was like -has Fai kill everyone-
And so Fai was like -emoz-
And Chi was like -stupid blonde-
And Fai was like Ashura doesn't love me...-seals him away-
And Ashura was like -damn-
And Fai was like Time to See YUKO!
And Chi was like -net-
And Fai was like -woosh-
And then Fai was like Yo, wassup ninja guy and two little children, I am Fai and I can do magics!
And Yuko was like NOT WITHOUT YOUR MARKING! -takes-
and Fai was like -emoz-
And then Mokona was like -zomgi'mcute-
And Fai was like YAY!

You forgot the meeting of Kurogane! T-T How could you forget Kuro-puu?
Hm. Still, you're the first to mention any sort of "other" relationship between Fai and Ashura. Most people tend to steer clear of that train of thought. I don't think Fai would be that submissive, though...then again, he was shunned by everyone... confused In your theory, anyway.

Hrmm. My theory is that I have no theory. Because my stomach aches from lack of food -goes off to find something-
I'd like to believe that Fai and Ashura were in some type of love/hate relationship, but it's probably my warped mind that turns everything into either something Gothloli-themed or yaoi.
Most of my thoughts are heavily influenced by this one fanfic I read sometime ago, but I'll shut up now.

OMG, Lab-chan!! XD That is the best theory in the world! XDDD
I sort of agree with Syaowoof and in a sense with Airbender. I think that some others had magic in Fai's world, but he was like a magic prodigy and was all amazing. Then Ashura-o saw him and decided that he wanted Fai to become a high magician for him. So he forcefully took Fai and forced him to work for him and Fai created Chii because he was all lonely. One day he was going to talk to Ashura-o and overheard him talking to someone else and realized that Ashura-o wasn't a good king at all, but was eviiiiil! So Fai decided to seal him away to save all the peoples.
The end.

Ok, here's a continuation of my interrupted explanation.
Ashura must have meant something to Fai after a while, and Ashura took advantage of that for his own pleasure. He used Fai's feelings against him, and manipulated him, using his magic and other things...
And I'm glad that Kendra apporves of my theory.

Maybe because Fai felt bad that he was being shunned because of his power, and maybe he liked Ashura like at first sight or something?

i think you might be right, syaowoof. XD it's definitely possible. but hmmm...i also would like to think that fay loved ashura, so ashura took advantage of him and made him kill a bunch of people, hence those dead bodies lying around in chapitre 2. yeah, that was a little unoriginal and uncreative, but that's what i think. sweatdrop  best splash page in the history of CLAMP's works. *o* *drool*
