Now, before any of you say anything, this is not Dark/Evil/Black Magic. That's the first question my mom asked me when I showed her the book.

This book is for those Wiccans who don't feel at peace doing their ceremonies during the day. That would rather wait for the cloak of the night to help aid them for their duties.

"When the essence of the shadows and darkness empowers you, yet you don't feel evil, you are good-dark."
There are four kinds of people out there. Good-light (the regular Wiccans and New Agers. The ones with high morals, loves brightness, spreads joy willingly and honestly), evil-light (hypecrates, cheats, and corrupted people), evil-dark (pure evil, criminals, devil worshippers, black magic users and those who follow sacrifices). But the book talks about the good-dark, the ones who are still good at heart, but work in dark, have a morbid side.

What is the difference between regular Wiccans and Nocturnal Wiccans? Nothing, except Nocturnal Wiccans only practice at night.

If you wish to brush up on your Nocturnal side, I advice picking up "Nocturnal Witchcraft" by Konstantinos. I just started reading the book, so I have yet to fully grasp the idea of it. But I do know, I am good-dark. What are you?

Well, I think the idea of Good-Bright, Good-Dark, Evil-Bright, Evil-Dark is utter bullshit. xD But I do practice mainly at night, one, for fear of being seen. (I live in the bible belt, mind you), and two, so my parents don't b***h at me about it. I would LOVE to have frequent rites in the daytime, but sometimes it's not really possible. xD

I practice whenever I feel would be best for the ritual I'm prforming. I've done rituals at all times of the day and night. So I guess I would be Good-light/dark.......lol ^-^ Although I do perfer light even at night.

The author of that book wrote it solely to cash in on the popularity of Goth culture, nothing more.

Evidence? I heard elsewhere praise for the book as it attempts to bring back the balance between light and dark that is supposed to exist within Craft pathways. Most of what is out there focuses on light aspects and where dark is addressed, it isn't given as much attention.

Hmmm...before I give any criticism or praise, I will try to find the book and read some of it. But from what you've given us to read, my ignorance would permit me to say I was a Good-Dark. Mainly because I do practice at night, because that is when I'm most comfortable, and because I've been told time after time "you are such a morbid girl."

What can I say?

Heh... agreed. Always read through a book with a mind open before acting as critic. That means not coming at it with negative or positive expectations that can cloud judgement.... easier said than done. xd

light and dark co-exist so working with both will keep the balance not just working with just one will keep the balance same with working nocturnal magick

i have both the Nocturnal witchcraft and the Gothic Grimoire by Konstantinos and what he says in both books are not evil...

To my understanding it is the way to keep the balance between light and dark since some witches worship the day deities why not the dark ones as well you wont become evil.. i do both for keeping the balance as well as i use the nocturnal magick to help protect myself and my family..

What I'm doing depends on the time of the day. If I was doing something involving healing or prosperity, probably during the day or morning, but something like banishing would go as the sun sets. =D

I typically do any kind of practicing at night because that is when I have time/privacy. I would like to be able to practice at any time.
