Chamiyu was lying in their den when Mteuli stumled in, exhausted and tired. Lookin up quickly with a jerk of her blak head, the lioness immediately jumped up from her spot and trotted over to aid him. She understood what had happened. The priest was assisting their goddess during her preganancy. Chamiyu had begged to help, but she wasn't allowed . So she decided that if she ouldn't help there, she'd help here. Giving the lion somthing to lean on against as theywalked to their place of sleeping, Chami said happily, "Did it come off well? You're so tired...Rest."

Mteuli accepted her aid openly, feeling very tiried. He hadn't actually done much at the birthing, but he had been up all night with his goddess to make sure everything was ok. Plus, despite how calm he had acted during her labor, his nerves had been set on edge which just wore him down in the end. He gave her a small, weary smile, though he was obviously pleased despite everything, "It went well. Three beautiful cubs." He knew Chamiyu had wanted to come, but Kiva hadn't told anyone about her pregnancy, at least hadn't told most. She wouldn't have been pleased to know that her vibes from the last night had informed Chamiyu of everything and certainly had informed others as well.

"Three?" Bubbled the lioness excitedly as she nuzzled her mate and helped him lay down in the mat of hay and moss she had collected earlier. She wasn't lazy all the time, heavens no! Most of the time, when she wasn't with Mteuli, she was up and about, collecting herbs and plants and making their bed so that the great lion she loved would have somewhere soft to sleep. Lying down beside Mteuli, Chamiyu began to clean his face, speaking in between kicks of affection. "That's wonderful to hear, my love. Males or females? Godling cubs..." Chamiyu sighed dreamily, "How adorable."

Mteuli smiled softly as he settled himself down with a small, relieved breath. It was good to finally be able to relax a little. True, he hadn't been doing much during or after the birth, but he had been on edge for a while. He felt the tension in his muscles disappear as she groomed him. He purred weakly with affection, closing his eyes a little as he began to feel soothed. "Two females, and one male," he murmured, his voice a contented whisper. "God of Clouds, Goddess of Tornados, and Goddess of Loyalty."

"What bundles of joys!" Chamiyu exclaimed as she continued grooming and licking his fur. Then, with a mischievious smile, Chami butted her head softly into Mteuli and piped up, "Our goddess is certainly going to have a handful! I sure hope the girls don't pick on the boy. I'm afraid the little cub is outnumbered by his female siblings."

Mteuli nodded, his smile remaining comfortably on his face. "Yes, she's certainly going to have her work cut out for her," He rumbled in agreement. He offered a gentle nuzzle to the side of her face with a contented flicker of his ears. It was hard to imagine he hadn't come home to this all this life. "As for the little boy...mm...well I doubt our Lady will let too much teasing to take place. But I have faith he'll be fine," he murmured.

"Then that is absolutely wonderful." Chamiyu concluded matter-of-factly, as she gave a gentle resounding purr. Cleaning the top of Mteuli's mane, the lioness said brightly, "Your mane is all out of place, dear. It makes you look more tired with just a glance." Then, giving a mewel of thought, Chamiyu bubbled again in excitement, "Mteuli, I found some healing herbs today that are rare to find! I have them drying near the front of the den." She seemed like a cubling again when she said that, proud for something she had done.

"So it is," Mteuli chuckled, bowing his head slightly to allow her to fix it more easily. Hearing the shift in her voice he peeked one eye open to look at her, feeling warmth and joy spread from his heart. It was always such a pleasure to see her so happy. And she certainly was amazing. Her intellegence still astoneded him and he had felt that way long before he knew she could handle herbs! "Really?" he purred, sounding proud with a touch of excitement, "That's wonderful, love. You are a wonder."

Chamiyu giggled brightly and for a moment, she let herself fall back onto the hay and perform a little roll of excitement as she laughed in her mirth. She was so happy to have Mteuli back safe and sound. Crawling up again to him, Chami put an arm around Mteuli's neck and licked the lion's hair into place.
"A wonder?" She continues, "A diamond in the rough, I heard once, but you, my dear...You're everything to me."

Mteuli grinned, feeling a little bit more energetic with Chamiyu around. It was funny how she had that affect on him. Feeling a small sense of playfulness as she cleaned the top of his mane he purred. He twisted gently so that he rolle her over and was positioned above her slightly. He bent down with a chuckle to lick her face. "Perhaps...but that just makes me the luckiest lion on earth."

The black lioness gazed with admiring blue eyes up at her mate and she purred contently as the grean lion licked her cheeks. She now wondered if her happiness had a boundery. With Mteuli here and them together and belonging to one another...Chamiyu didn't believe that her happiness could end.
"And that makes me," Chamiyu responded, licking him once more, "The luckiest and happiest lioness on earth."

"Then it looks like both of us are pretty well off," He murmured with a throb of affection in his voice. He shifted to lay at her side, though he still had one paw draped over her as he licked the underside of her jaw. The exchange of kisses sent adrenaline through his blood. He wondered if it was possible for his heart to burst of love. If anyone could make that happen, it was Chamiyu.

"Mteuli..." Chamiyu said suddenly, a blush coming to her black cheeks and heating up her heart. "I..."
The lioness didn't know how to say it. Now that she had found a love, she also wanted...She wanted a family of her own. She wasn't blessed with a family to grow up with, but now, more than ever, especially with Kiva's influence and her love for Mteuli burning in her chest, she wanted a cubs of her own.
"I want a family, Mteuli..." She laughed nervously and was shy, her smile widning nonetheless.

Mteuli's ears twitched and he pulled back to look at her more directly with shining green eyes. At first her words numbed his mind in surprise. But as it began to thaw he realized that...he shared her wish. With all that had happened and with the warmth of her affection he had dreamed of a family, one they could call her own. He admited that when he had seen Kiva's cubs and their birthing he had wanted that for them someday. "Truly?" he questioned with feeling, his eyes seeming to soften in relief. His smile widened, "I'd like nothing more then to have a family of our own, Chamiyu." Her name rolled of his tongue like a song and he felt so blessed to be able to speak that sentence.

"Truly," Responded Chamiyu in her silky bell-like voice. She admitted that she was still shy and embarrassed by how bluntly she had put it forth, but was there any other way that she could tell him? But now her chest was filled with a nervous excitement...A family, one of their own! So special a thing to have between them, to share, to love...She could hardly contain her love for Mteuli, so she leaned her head up and licked him in her love and trust.
