Isi lay precariously, with her limbs dangling, on a tree branch. A yawn escaped her throat, but she tried to stay awake. She needed to eat.. and this was her technique for woody areas. The lioness only needed a rabbit.. or even a small gazelle, to trot under the tree. Then she would drop, and the weight would stun them as she took the killer bite. Nothing to be seen, though.
Her eyes narrowed, and she looked down, squinting.Surely something would come by.. Ahah! A rabbit was tentativly hopping under the tree branch, nibbling on a small patch of grass. Perfect.. Isi steadied herself, getting ready to jump down on it. Instantly, the rabbit darted away, having heard her rustling. Isi had just started jumping.. "Ahhh!" She yelped and stuck her front claws into the tree branch, having been dropping bottom down. Terrifyed, she looked down at the 50ft drop. How did she get up here again? Her claws were starting to lose their hold on the branch. She was slowly slipping to a broken leg, with nothing to break her fall.

And it seemed, almost at the right moment, a lion walked underneath. Orange of coat and black of mane, he didn't realise what was going on up above. He did question, though, some of the twigs and leaves on the ground and stopped to sniff them. Unknowingly, Danzi made the perfect cushion for the lioness up above.

Isi's claws came unloose, and with a scream, she fell atop the lion, the air knocked out of her. Was she dead? The lioness opened her eyes quesily, and looked up at the blinding blue sky. She wheezed and hacked, out of breath. With a pained moan, she rolled over. Nothing was broken.. but Gods, did her head hurt. She had knocked it on the ground, nothing was bleeding, but it ached badly. "W..What?" With a little gasp of pain, she rolled over.. and saw another lion.

To say that the breath was knocked out of Danzi was an understatement. Oh boy, was it ever an understatement. Gasping for air, he clawed uselessly at the plants around him, eyes wide and watering. The good news was, his back was popped. The bad news was, he was having trouble catching his breath. Coughing slightly, he suddenly let out a loud gasp as he sucked in a huge gulp of air and filled his lungs. Ears pinned back, he looked around... And spied a lioness. She seemed in a similar state, though a bit more battered from an obvious fall.

Isi lay on her back, breathing weakly and rubbing a paw to her forehead. "Oww.." Squinting her eyes shut in pain, it became obvious she had found where the ground had hit her head. A huge lump swelled up to the side of her face, and her paw had stumbled over it, making her wince. "Oww.. Uhm.." She listened to the lion gasp.. it hurt her head to move, and she could hear this pounding noise. The world was suddenly spinning, and she struggled to stay awake. "Hi.." Isi sputtered weakly. "Sorry.. about.. that."

Finally catching his breath, the orange lion rolled over and sat up. "Ugh... My jaw hurts now..." He moved his lower jaw, shivering as it popped. Glancing back at the lioness, he frowned slightly. "You alright...?"

Isi grimaced as she rolled over to face the other lion. She couldn't sit up just yet.. her head still hurt, and her legs were a bit numb. As she looked up at the other lion, she grinned weakly. "Hi. I'm Isi." The lioness blinked, and moved her paw away from the noticeable bump. "I guess.." He had a nice mane. A very nice mane. Black manes were the best kind. "Are you? Are you okay?"

Stretching slightly to put things back in order, Danzi smiled slightly. "I'm Danzi, and yes, I'm fine. My back's been popped, at least, which is good... It was getting stiff from all my walking. You sure you're okay...?" Concern was evident in his deep green eyes. She'd fallen from a tree, he guessed, from the fact that there were trees all around them.

Isi nodded slightly, but quickly stopped as her head ached. Stumbling a little, she got herself up into a sitting position, panting slightly. "Danzi. Thats good." She frowned slightly at the word Popped. What was that? "Uhm.. Yeah. My head hurts.. but I think I'm okay." The lioness smiled slightly, and shifted her head so the bump didn't hurt as much.

Getting up and moving around the lioness, Danzi frowned. "You sure...? You look like you could do with some rest after that nasty fall." He sat down, tilting his head. If one looked right, he'd almost look like a black and orange owl.

The bump had gone numb, so she was able to shake her head without -too- much pain. "I can't rest yet.. I have to get to the big Rock over there, first!" Isi used a not so numb paw to point to Pride Rock in the distance. "But.. uh.. thanks?" The lioness grinned, showing yellowish white teeth.

Turning to look in the direction she'd motioned, Danzi couldn't help but smile. "Pride Rock? I'm heading there myself. I'm on my way home after wandering the lands a bit." He turned back to Isi, the smile still on his face. "Last time I was there, I was going to talk to Mufasa about something, but he wasn't in... Hopefully this time he'll be in, but I'll see him eventually."

Isi grinned wider. "You are? Maybe we could like.. go there together or something. I dunno." She shrugged, and winced slightly as she felt searing pain in her joints. "Oh yeah, thats what it's called. I'm going there to join the pride!" The lioness stated it proudly, and puffed up her chest slightly. "Mufasa?" She tilted her head. "Who's he?"

"Sure!" The orange lion smiled, tail flicking lightly as he slowly rose up. He felt better, that was for sure. "We should stop at a watering hole nad get you cleaned up first, though..." One ear twitching, he smiled. "Mufasa's the king. He rules over the Pridelands with his mate and queen, Sarabi."

Isi nodded. "You can come with Jini and me!" Slowly she got to her feet. "Ohh. A king! Cool. So, uhm.. where's a watering hole?" Sarabi was a nice name. So was Danzi. Stumbling a little bit, she walked over to the lion and sat down, wincing.
