Private rp, yadda yadda yadda, you know the drill.
The wind caressed his fur and feathes as his hooves lightly skimed over the clouds. The dark stallion closed his eyes, his spirit in complete and tottal extacy as he flew. The stead beat of his strong wings seemed to make the clouds around him dance, swirlling the mist around his ebony form.
His chains lightly chimed with every beat, but he paid them no mind. Long ago he had locked away that sound and removed it from his observations. The pale silver moonlight waltzed across his ebony streaked with deep hues of indigo and blue.
A sigh escaped him and finally, with a tuck of his wings he dove towards the land. The world spun below him but he could only smile. The wind rushed past him with a deafing roar and at last he pulled his wings free, landing with a gentle glide upon the bluff over looking the valley. The grass was sweet here, and lightly dusted with due sparkling in the silver rays of the moon.

Moon.
Ah yes, that had been his nickname for her. He who hated the night, yet found a spark of interest in one called Rain. One like the moon, so bright, yet mysterious. Alas, those most loved are always out of reach. She found little time to see him, and even then, there meetings were always a simple collection of awe and respect. One could see it in the eyes of the Kalona. Always thirsting, lusting for the best of the best. A title that she could never fulfill, and one she hadn’t even tried to. Rain had never adjusted herself for others will, and she wouldn’t do it, even in the strike of some fantasy. Besides that, there were no mystical wings or horn that might provide her a flush of life.
She fed off the moon as many did the love of their partners. Taking in every ray and letting it speed her heart till its bursting moment. She’d take this charisma, this life, this energy, and let it fly. Her feet pounded the earth with every strike of her heart, yearning to reach the source of those entrancing rays. Yet no matter how far one ran, how far one flew, they would never find the deity who made such enthralling songs of the light.
Tonight her lover was especially bright, enticing her to join its dance with the earth. Even the soft grass swayed to the rhythm, toyed with by the joyful wind. How could she not answer to such a serene aura of life? The corners of her muzzle curled upwards, ears flicking casually to the beat of the night. Somewhere an owl cooed softly. Her ears shifted to pick this up as well, tail whipping in the wake of the breeze. Rapture built up inside her, causing her muscles to coil with agitation. They wanted to move, be the cloud streaking the sky, be the free air as it shifted across the plain.
At last she could hold it no longer, and spurred herself into movement. As if in answer, the wind howled, chasing after her in glee, then tearing ahead, never to be beaten. It was often she raced the wind, and she had yet to win. Mother nature was a good winner, one that would not be beat, if given time. It didn’t matter to the earth whether you one once, she’d always win in the end. That didn’t stop Rain from trying. Her heart quickened, breathing became rough, muscles screaming in agony, boding her to stop. Yet she wouldn’t, the ecstasy of running was simply far too much; and she kept running. She’d stop soon enough.
It was then that she spotted him, standing alone out amongst the grass, looking at placid as the lily of a pond. He seemed not yet to have noticed her; an opportunity presented that Rain couldn’t help but to grasp. Urging her aching ligaments onward, she reached a climax in her speed, only to slow when she was almost upon him, and veer southward, arching around in a circle, her crisp blue eyes watching him with predator intensity.

The dark stallion had heard the thundering hooves long before she had noticed him, but he had paid her no heed and in all reality had hoped that whom ever it was would veer off and go another direction. As she circled him he sighed inwardly, for it seemed that would not be the case tonight.
His feathers lightly bristled as she ran around him, but he didnt rase his head, nor even make a sound. His body dark as night, basking the the silver rays of the moon. Finally he moves hid front hoove enough to step forward and bite down on a particular blade of grass that was so covered with dew it looked as if it where a gem sparkling in the sea of green.
Happily he chewed his prize, relishing in the sweet flavor that danced off his tongue. Maybe if he ignored her she would go away? He thought, but still..at long last he had to take a glance at her. A glance and nothing more.

Rain quirked and eyebrow as she finished her arch and came to a halt, hair flowing lightly in the breeze. She knew this game, ignore them and they'd go away. Well Rain certainly wasn't one to be ignored, and she wasn't going to break the silence either. According to her she'd been travelling and he had stepped in her path, so he could just plum well deal with it.
Her ears flicked, listening to the surroundings. Occasionally she would stomp a paw, but for the most part silence engulfed her, she refused to speak the first word. Finally her gaze shifted from the moon and to the horse beside her. He certainly was a beauty to behold, giving off some seemingly wild aura. She did so like the wild ones. The faint smile never left her lips.
She couldn't watch him forever, it would have been taken as rude, so she bent her head down to munch on her own blades of grass. It was as sweet as she remembered. Each bight broke the hard outside of the grass and brought the succulent juices forwards. Then again, everything seemed better in the night.

The stallion finally sighed, this one was certainly as pig headed as he was. He sighed again and finally raised his head to fully look at her. His chains lightly chiming as he moved. The moonlight caressed his fine features as her pale indigo eyes washed over her.
"Good evening." he said at length, his low tenor voice as faint as a whisper, yet strong as the wind broke the silence. And that appeared to be all he was going to say. After those words left his mouth, he shifted his wings lightly and lifted his head to the sky. He sighed again softly, and shook his head. The wind blew across the feild and sent the grass to swaying. Closing his eyes the stallion relished the feeling as the wind blew over him, so much like the senstation of flying...

She took little heed of his sigh, and continued to munch on her grass passionately. Rain was never the kind to be agitated, she was hardly ever annoyed, simply bored, and when that happened she decreed it time to leave. To say, in short, near nothing got under her skin. The chains managed to get her to flick her ears in his direction. Such a strange soul to have such things wrapped around his ankles. She would have feared they'd be caught on some protruding obstacle, or cut of the circulation to ones bone. Certainly rub the fur away to nothingness.
She raised her head when he spoke, munching and watching him. She shrugging, quirking her eyebrows as she did, collecting herself and swallowing her piece of grass. For a moment it would seem as though she wasn't going to answer, her eyes were set upon the moving grass.
Then the wind stole over her body and she let out an exclamation of glee and kicked up her heels. Her feet tore the ground from under her as she tore forwards, whipping he head back only to utter a simple question, "Tell me, oh dark one of the night, can you beat the wind?" With her challenge in full force she surged across the landscape, not caring if he followed or not, simply taking marvel in the night's revelry

The stallion blinked as her manner changed as the wind hit her. Normally sucn solice in running and flying with teh wind was reserved for him, and him alone. but Tonight he thought he would share it with this young woman as she tore across the ground.
A smirk set across his face as he tucked his wings across his back. He would make this a fare run, for even on his hooves it seemed as if the wing was handspans behind him. "I can." he called out to her, rearing his hooves to touched the sky. His silver hooves touched the ground once more and he was off.
Thundering hoovebeats echoed across the valley as he ran, his stronger form quickly catching up to the mare but there he raced beside her. Neck and neck they seemed racing with the wind nipping at their heels.

She knew this would have sparked him into interest. Such was always the case with these wild spirits. A challange was never backed down. Only she would be witness to how fast he could turn, how elegant is posterior really was.
With a laugh she sharply changed direction, her small, slender form easily turning, and picking up speed again. He may run fast, but could he run far? She decided not to test him on this night, she knew very well she wasn't the fastest, but she could keep up a pace for hours on end till they dropped behind her like flies in the wind.
She eyed his wings, knowing they could make him air born in little to no time at all. They weren't as large and elegant as the wings of Calamity, but they were wings all the same. For a brief moment she pondered what it would be like to fly, then without warning, shoved her feet into the ground.
The resulting reaction was a giant lurch in her muscles, her upper body tried to continue forwards, but her feet remained planted. One lurch and it was over, she was stopped, the wind tearing past her with joyful charisma.

Vudeux smirked a bit as the slender mare quickly changed direction on him. He might be fast, but she was more agile on the ground by far. The extra few second it took his large form to turn she had spurted ahead. Chuckling the stallion put his head down and thundered forward, detrimined to pass her.
It seemed like all at once he had. Blinking he looked around for the mare and realised she had stopped behind him. At first this seemed like some sort of dirty trick and he lightly clicked his tongue. Rounding back around he paused in front of her, somthing about her expession erased all negative thoughs from his mind.
"Are you...ok?" he asked her at length, conserned now that something may have hapened to her. It didnt look as if she where limping or if a leg was possably broken. Just what had happened.

His concern brought the sweet sound of laughter to her lips. So he did have a heart. She gave him a wink and shook out her body, breaking the pause with the hoofbeats of a walk. "I stopped to think, and apparently forgot to start again," she muttered, quite full of humor.
"But really, I just wanted to see what you'd do." By far, she believed in honesty, she was perfectly fine, that and she often grew bored of running with another. It was a moments thing, a special thing, not to be drawn on. She continued, "You're a different fellow. It's not often I find one that loves to run in the moonlight." Her footfalls were light, obviously not meant to go anywhere, but simply to move forwards.
She allowed the wind to guide her. It seemed to have died down now that they had ceased their running. Perhaps mother nature was reading their thoughts, and souls, knowing that when they stopped, the fun was over. She wondered how many others were out on such a night like this, and her thoughts once again drifted to Calamity, and Wapi, too. So very different, those two souls.

The stallion nodded a bit, thankful the mare wasnt hurt. He wouldnt have blamed himself had she been, but he also didnt know what to do in the case of such an emergancy. Nodding his head, a few strands of unrully hair falling before his eyes. "I see." he said, turning to walk with her.
"I love the night." he said point blank, really not knowing how to truely articulate himself, nor... knowing if he should open his heat, his very soul up to this mare. Most certainly not.. those things where left for him and him alone. Only he need know why he did this or that. He snorted a bit and lightly cleared his throat. "Differnt how exactly?" he asked her with a raised brow... has she implied something Nasty? He couldnt fully fathom her words... the moonlight was the best time to run.. did that make him strange?

She stopped, her voice turned serious in answer to his questions. She nodded at each word he spoke, head turned to watch him. Yes, the night," she whispered, taking comfort in its sound. "The night holds many secrets, one must be wary of it.," The latter was not for his comfort, but for her own. She found no fear in the night, but it was the warning many had told her time and time again. Even in her youngest years she'd watch the rays of silver dance with the water of the night.
"Untamed," she answered, refusing to tell him directly. Her words were for him to interpret how he willed it, not for her to tell him. "There is still spirit left in your heart." She turned her head back to the moon, raising her chin high as the wind flowed softly beneath it.
She flicked her gaze back at him one last time. "Well," came her whispered voice. "Farewell one of the night." With that her feet struck ground with an awesome force, body surging forwards to meld with the night.

The stallion nodded his head. She too was something wild, and as she turned to leave he smiled. "Farewell.." in his heart he knew that they would cross paths in life again, for she was a child of the wind, of the moon of nature itself. She was a wild and untamed spirit and the pulse of life that danced within her chest was in time with that of creation itself.
She was a special breed...she who was so like him. He smiled... glad to see that there was still at lest one other like him in the world.. a dying breed of wild, untamed soquili.
