What do you think of the character Brainiac (played by James Marsters from last season)?

He played Brainiac really well I thought. He's already a good actor before.

He did a good job but he never really used or showed off his amazing brainiac powers.

I think he's done very well. And it's not like you can kill him. He is slightly different from what's in most superman comics tho. Milton Fine was a man who invented a virus (Brainiac) that clones itself. Superman fights the virus (which is in the shape of a man but with many superpowers) and can kill it but there is always another copy somewhere else. (isn't that right, or am I really screwed up?) But yeah, in Smallville, it's really that Brainiac can automatically divide himself into as many people as he needs. Which is different, but cool! I like it. I really hope that they keep him on. They aren't supposed to be able to kill him, so it would make sense to keep him around (but we'll see how that turns out, I guess). But also, I just heart James Marsters!

The Brainiac idea was good, but couldn´t you get a different actor to play it? I would think people had gotten tired of Spike. Hopefully in the future they will not go with the Proven Formula and start experimenting with something (someone) new.

well how do you know? you have only seen him play brainiac you have NOTHING to base that opinion on. She wasn't saying that spike and brainiac were a like she said she would rather see a fresh face playing brainiac, a new actor that isn't as well known as Marsters

mmm Marsters is a little to old for my tastes... he looked better as spike in terms of the "hotness" scale.
