Flitch wasn't at the mansion today. No no, he'd decided to go for a change, and was at the nearby park, sitting listlessly on a swing, his foot trailing unusual little shapes in the dirt. From the look in the Sin's blue eyes, it was obvious that his mind was... elsewhere.

What he was thinking on, Flitch himself didn't rightly know. It was one of those vague mind-wanderings, where you thought vaguely of everything you could possibly think of... yet at the same time you thought of nothing. Flitch's brain was like that today. A new brother, a magic bracelet that could or couldn't be laced with something nefarious, this and that, that and this... Honestly. A good little escape like this was good. Thinking in the house seemed to be getting harder and harder with all the chaos, and the mansion... Well, Flitch just didn't feel like going there today.

So he sat on the swings, thinking and thinking.

Failed day. Lyrus was beginning to get irritated. He had waited around the center for at least three hours, and no one had shown up! Nevermind the fact that it had really only been a third of the time, simply seemed longer, nor that he had spent most of it wandering around and could have easily missed people. He wanted to complete his quest, dammit. He was beginning to get desperate. If he didn't find someone to drink soon, he would just give in and go pay at the bar. He was sure he could find plenty of volunteers there.

Just to cheer himself up, he had stolen a bottle of fine wine from Aylee's mansion, an expensive brand that he hadn't had the pleasure of purchasing for himself just yet. Aylee didn't need it, he figured, and so he could bring it home...along with one of her nicest wine glasses. He could duplicate it easily for a full set, but it was nice to have something pretty to go by.

He happened upon the park more by chance than anything, taking the familiar walk back home and glancing up as he passed the area. And then he paused in step, quirking a brow and eyeing the boy on the swings curiously. ...So familiar. Lyrus was positive he was a Sin, even if he couldn't recall exactly who the boy was. Still, that was good enough, and without further ado he wandered over to take the swing beside Flitch's. "Evening." A pause. Where did he know this kid from? Name right on the tip of his tongue... Starts with an...F? "You're Anisia's friend, right?"

Having obviously not seen or registered the older boy's approach, Flitch gave a small start when Lyrus spoke. Wow. What a way to pay attention, there. Blinking, Flitch tilted his head upward at the tall and... vaguely-familiar person.

A frown, and Flitch tilted his head. "Ani...? Yeah, we're friends..." Flitch didn't know why, but this older person put him a little ill at ease. Probably it was bcause of the manner of dress the other wore, or probably because... well, normal teenagers didn't go around talking to kids unless they wanted something of the kid. Warily, Flitch watched him sit down in the other swing, edging away faintly. "Why?" he asked, curiosity overcoming him. "Do you know her too?"

Ha ha, kid was nervous. Well he should be! Lyrus could very easily be coming to beat the s**t out of him and steal his lunch money. But, in fact, he was not. And maybe, -maybe- if Flitch was really lucky, Lyrus would give him some of his stolen wine. For now, however, the task was simply to put the other Sin at ease. Carefully placing the paper bag protecting the wine on the ground and out of the way, he began lazily swinging back and forth--not far, more for the purpose of doing something other than just sitting. "I think she introduced me to you once. Name's Lyrus. Haven't seen her lately, have you?"

Wait... the name was familiar. Squinting through his glasses, Flitch tried to remember. Lyrus... Lyrus... Oh! He remembered now! Lyrus had been a lot littler last they maet. No wonder he didn't recognize him. Well, the fact that the meeting had been brief did nothing to help, but nonetheless Flitch visibly relaxed. He offered a teneative smile at Lyrus, nodding.

"That's right. I remember you now..." Ani? Seen her? Fltich responded with a shake of his head. "Not for a long while. I've been... away..."

And there it was. Step one, complete. However, though Flitch had relaxed, when no name was offered, Lyrus quirked a brow, eyying the boy almost accusingly. "Yes, I thought we'd met. But as you've forgotten my name, I'm sure you'll understand me forgetting yours. You are?" Not that it particularly mattered to the lamb Sin, but first name would be better for keeping whatsisface calm. "Mm. You too, eh? Damn, seems Jan's the only one who's seen her.."

"Oh, right, sorry. I'm Flitch." Oh dear. Where were his manners? It was so unlike Flitch to not introduce himself properly.

Only half-paying attention to the comment, Flitch allowed his gaze to drift down to the bottle placed by Lyrus' feet. His blue eyes widened in childish curiosity as he looked back up at Lyrus. "What's that?" he asked, pointing to the bag. A bit too direct for Flitch, sure, but for some reason he doubted Lyrus would mind such a thing being asked.

"Flitch. Pleasure," he assured the boy without looking over, more interested at this point in swinging. Children, children... He didn't want to come across as suspicious by shoving the bottle at the boy's face. This could take a while.

...Or not. "Hmm?" Lyrus glanced down towards the bottle sticking out of the paper bag, flashing a grin. Immediately stilling his swing, he retrieved the bottle and glass from the ground and, with a bit of effort, manage to tug the cork out. Apparently this bottle had been opened before. No matter, there was still plenty left. "This?" He carefully poured a glass, allowing himself a sip or three before passing it over to Flitch for inspection. "Brilliant stuff. One of those fancy expensive wines. I won't bother you with the brand."

..wait. WINE? Flitch eyed the glass suspiciously. Wasn't wine for adults? He was about to politely decline the offer, but he paused. A sip shouldn't hurt... right? Besides, hadn't those adventurers in Baldurs Gate drunk a lot of this stuff? Being so EASILY swayed by the opinions of others, Flitch finally decided to give it a shot. Why not? If he didn't like it he could spit it out.

"Thanks," he said, taking the glass. Now that he had it, he eyed it suspiciously for a moment. It smelled funny... but under Lyrus' almost too-intense gaze, Flitch couldn't back out. So he raised the glas to his lips--

--EW. this stuff was nasty!

Flitch gagged on the pungent alcohol, yet he somehow managed to swallow it, hacking and coughing. It burned on the way down, causing his eyes to water. Ugh! How could he like this.

Rubbing the watery buildup from his eyes, Flitch handed the glass back. "Um... it's... different... " he said, trying his best to sound polite. This stuff was supposed to be good, right? Didn't taste too good to him...

Lyrus' laugh was one of honest amusement as he accepted the glass back, quieting as he helped himself to another sip. "Nasty as hell for your first taste, isn't it? It takes some getting used to, but you learn to love it," he assured the boy, lazily enjoying the glass of wine. No rush, no rush. After a pause, he quirked a brow over at Flitch, holding the glass up once more. "Give it another try? Take your time."

The horrible burning still filling his throat, Flitch eyed the glass with suspicion before reaching out and taking the glass. "I guess so," he murmured. So it got better as he drank more? Okay. That he could try.

Again he took a sip, but this one was more careful, much slower. It still tasted like crap, but not as bad. It didn't burn as bad either, though Flitch suspected that it was because his throat was already raw from the first sip. Again he gagged, but it wasn't as bad as before.

"There, see? Not so bad," he purred, eyeing the half full glass. There was still plenty left, especially if Flitch was going to hold on to it. But the best way to keep the boy drinking was to drink himself, and Lyrus only had one glass... Nodding to himself, Lyrus drew a thick glass disk about the size of his palm from one pocket, holding it in one hand for a moment before simply molding it as if it were putty, gradually creating from the mass a small, crystal clear cup, though he didn't bother with a stem or base. This was all he needed. As if the act was an every day occurrence, he calmly reached for the wine bottle and filled his own glass, sipping absently at it as he replaced the bottle on the ground.

Had his watering eyes been focused on anything other than the rim of his glass, Flitch probably would ahve been fascinated by Lyrus' display of glasswork. Yet Flitch's eyes were only on the glass, and on the deep red liquid inside.

Slowly he brought the liquid up to drink again, absently making a face at the liquid. Mmm. It was getting less painful to drink, but it still wasn't something Flitch would particularly enjoy drinking...

Way, way too simple, Lyrus thought, watching Flitch drink out of the corner of his eye. Now all there was to do was relax, drink, and wait for the kid to get woozy. Before Lyrus knew it, his glass was empty, and a glass sideways confirmed that Flitch's larger one nearly was as well. Pleased, he again retrieved the bottle, refilling his own glass before gesturing towards the one Flitch held. "Seconds?"

At the question, Flitch's gaze drifted uncertainly between the bottle, Lyrus, and the glass. The alcohol was already having an obvious effect on the child-- his gaze was becoming blurry and he seemed to have trouble sitting still. Were it not for hia elbows crooked around the swing chains, he would have most certainly fallen off by now.

"I 'unno," he half-murmured. "What d' you 'ink?"
