Kaede had seemed to wander away from her family yet again. Kaede was learning fast, though her 'I'ma lion' statement remained the same no matter how well she was getting at speaking with others. Kaede was for the most part shy on the inside, but hid that with being friendly and energetic as much as she could. Lately she had been excited, she had made a new friend, Ger, a lion she met near the Prideland borders. She also had met Ororo. But Kaede knew Ger was probably far from here, Ororo as well, and she wouldn't seem either of them today.
She wanted to make lots of friends, have a group of friends she could go play with. But whenever she seemed to say 'I'ma lion' she got strange looks. Even from teh buzzards that would soar overhead (which she would run from).
Tail wagging behind her she kept on her way, Running through the tall grass to a waterhole where she stopped and lapped up the water. It was cool and refreshing on a day like today, it was hot...almost too hot. Kaede hoped today might get better. She plopped down by the edge of the water and looked at her reflection. She saw a vague image of her golden pelted self. In her eyes, she looked like a lion.
Ger had understood her, Ororo too. and nodded at her and smiled at her. But Kaede wondered, would she ever make any other friends besides him? Would anyone else like hanging around with her?

 Kaikura was booooooored. A growl of discontent escaped the young cubs mouth as he screwed up his face in a glower. He had managed to sneak away from his annoying siblings and his parents(espcially his father!) but he had expected to find something exciting. And all he saw in front of his white-marked muzzle was lots of grass. That was no fun at all.
He swatted at one of the green blades, his tail thrashing. He then jumped forward and began to run. He didn't really know where but...he needed something to do! How was he supposed to get strong if there was nothing around? Within a few moments he emerged from his yellow-green cover to stand by the bank of a watering hole.

Green eyes wandered over everything as a rushing blob caught her eye. Maybe it was a friend! She began to run in that direction, perhaps she should've slowed down but she was so excited. Getting closer and closer it appeared as a cub. Yay! Perhaps they could be friends since, well, she was a cub too!
"Hi!" she stated outloud wagging her tail back and forth back and forth. She had never seen him before, perhaps he could teach her something new, like the other lions she had met so far. Other lions seemed to have such great wisdom sometimes.

Kaikura jumped in surprise. He had resigned himself to the fact that today was going to be boring...he hadn't expected to see anyone! He glared at her fiercely. What in the world WAS this little thing? Thinking perhaps it was a mini monster(even though it looked too weak to be a monster) he decided to do the one thing he knew how. Pounce! He jumped at her with a yowl, though didn't outstretch his claws, since it wasn't a skill he had really learned yet.

Kaede tilted her head at him but when he yowled outlouad her ears folded back and she watched him pounce forward. So she jumped back, anrrowly missing his paws, "What're you doing?" she asked giggling. He was a funny one.
"Is pouncing how you say hi to other cubs like you? I'm Kaede, who're you?" she would probably confuse him, saying she was a lion. But that was still set in her mind. But why on earth would this cub try adn pounce on her? She hadm't done anything wrong...had she?

Kaikura growled feebling in his young voice, baring baby teeth. He didn't even really hear her words...they went in one ear and out the other. After all, one didn't have conversations with monsters, right? Looking a little furious he had missed he crouched down and sprang again with more force this time. No little mini-monster was going to beat him, no sir! He was strong! Not like this dad! He'd prove it!

She watched him growl and tilted her head. This cub was strange, always growling? Did she do somehting wrong? She was only walking and saw him, just running up to him might have offended him? Hmmm...confusing.
"Why do you growl? Do you growl at other cubs too?" she asked curiously, perhaps this cub wasn't a social one, perhaps he liked being to himself, or was fristrated at the moment.

Kaikura swiped a paw at her with a yowl, his ears pulled forward in fierce confidence. Though it was obvious he was getting frustrated. There was no way this little monster was stronger then him! And he was going to bring her down! He lundged again and again, his cub attacks clumsy, but seeming a little more practiced then most younglings. Or at least they should have been, concidering he spent all his time trying to become stronger. He didn't want to end up like his father, no sir!

Kaede sighed and stepped back again and again, but was getting bored with this cubs swatting game. So she stopped, and winced as one of his paws hit her shoulder. The she stepped out of the way again, and rubbed her shoulder. This cub was so rough!
"There! You got me, your strong! Please stop swating at me..." she said, tail hanging low, she didn't like this game very much.
Why was he doing this?

"No way! Like I'm going to show mercy to a monster? Not even a mini monster, no sir!" Kaikura growled, his tail switching behind him sharply. This was no game for him and in all honesty he didn't even think of the little creature before him as a kid. Or anything civil. It was kinda odd he spoke to her at all. He wasn't a big talker with people he respected, let alone with someone he didn't really think had a mind in the first place. Yeah...Kai wasn't a man of sensativity. Er...boy.

This was very strange. So angry all the time! Why would someone be so angry. And a mini monster, she wasn't a mini monster! Not even a big monster. "I'm not a monster I'ma lion like you silly! Why would you want to hurt a lion hmmm? I'm not a monster!" she spoke defenesively. This cub was strange, she didn't even know his name! He was always yowling...how to break this situation to make it better, Kaede wasn't sure.

"I'm not falling for your lies!" Kaikura growled. Geeze! This mini monster was the worst liar ever! She OBVIOUSLY wasn't a lion! "You got to come up with better ones then that!" He was starting to get frustrated...and bored. He didn't like monsters that wanted to talk. He wanted to fight! You couldn't get stonger if you didn't fight! Talk was for whimps!

"Lies? Kaede doesn't lie..." she said folding her ears back. Why was he being so mean? She was a lion! Ger said she could be what she wanted, and Ororo said she was a lion! Why couldn't this cub see that? "I'm not lying! I even tackled a bigger lion then you! Don't say I lie!" she said with a slight growl. Perhaps if she pounced on him he'd be nicer.

"Yeah right!" Kaikura spat with a sneer. Her, tackle a lion? Psssssh! This was the stupidest monster he had ever met! Not only was she small and weak, she was dilusional. And she lied bunches. "You're just a liar, liar, furs on fire!" He jeered with a taunting growl and an unsimapthetic sneer. Who knew it could be just as fun to tackle someone verbally as it was to do so physically?! Maybe this wasn't a waste after all.

Kaede frowned and growled somewhat. this wasn't fun anymore. He was just taunting her, this was no fun. Perhaps she should jsut turn around adn head back home now...it was getting late anyways. But he was annoying her, she didn't even know his name! "If I'm a liar then your a weakling!" she said with a smirk, arching ehr tail, "Your all talk! I Let you hit me before so that maybe I could know your name!" she was getting angry. She didn't like this cub much. "Your are weak, strength is what your seek, but since your so mean, you'll always be weak it seems," she echoed back to him. Trying to get in his head now.
Perhaps she should just leave...this wasn't as fun as she wanted. "You think by picking on others who look different makes you strong hmm? Just proves your all talk, meaning your weak, and most of all that your being a jerk!" she huffed. She had never felt this angry before.
