Skinny Puppy seriously changed the way I view and listen to music. It changed my life. It told me their is more out there than just metal, country, and top forty rap/hip-hop/alternative rock. And, they blend many different genres while creating their own in the process.
No rip off could EVER fill the void of the Legendary Puppy. No one.
Taking influence from various artists like Throbbing Gristle, Depeche Mode, Cabaret Voltaire, Human League, etc. They have created a genre of electronic/alternative that they not only created and pioneered, but one that no one could ever set foot in and get away with imitating with ease and perfection.
