I just was reminded of an old 8-bit NES game I used to play with a friend way back called River City Ransom. Kind of an adventure story, you build up your character, school gang theme. It was fun because you could play cooperative or solo. But nothin' but chibis, and you could throw guys, learn moves, use weapons...

Oh yeah, and now they have it for the Gameboy Advance. xd
Anyone else have favorite chibi-based oldschool games, besides the obvious FinalFantasy/RPG series?

You totally could get it on an emulator. I wonder if my friend still has the NES cart. smile
When the Wii comes out they'll have online downloadable games for NES, SNES, and N64, so that's one way to get it (legally). And I'm considering getting an original GBA too...

Haha, legality... you know, it's legal to have copyrighted stuph on your computer so long as you don't plan on keeping it xd ...that, and why would you wanna emulate games from nintendo... you should buy from them, and emulate the companies that suck, but somehow got a hold of some great games... ...notice.... Nintendo's been around from the beginning... 3nodding

Aww, it's cute when people think the NES was the beginning. wink That would be Atari, and the closest competitors, Coleco and Intellivision.
It's like those shirts that show a NES controller and say "know your roots". I see 'em and think, "that should really be an Atari 2600 joystick."
See, I put the "old" in "oldschool."

But then again if you want to get REALLY technical Nintendo has been around since about 1880, they made trading cards, long before there were video games. talk2hand Yay for economic research projects!

Cards are cool, I am a pokemon trading card game master. Just ask my friends. I have a starter deck, and I still always win.
