Koin wandered away from where his mate was sleeping once again. He did it often when he could not sleep, though he didn't stray too far. He shook his fur from dust and let his breeze ruffle his fur. He sat down so he could find his way back.
Looking up to the sky, his eye twinkled. His ears were still alert, listening for any sounds.

A quiet mew could be heard, echoing in the silence of the night air. Salmon eyes opened wide, taking in the surroundings, and sitting up for the first time. His throat ached, and his stomach growled in hunger. He whined and stood up on wobbly legs, taking his first steps on the cold hard ground. He'd no idea where he was, nor where his mother was...or if he even had a mother.

Having decided a while ago that she wouldn't be able to get any sleep until she'd had her walk, Sauda could now be found trotting rather lazily along the trail of some intriguing scent she'd managed to pick up moments ago.
Her ears twitched at the sound of a small 'mew', but as of yet, she hadn't noticed any possible sources for such a sound. Well, it was really none of her concern. As it was, there was another hyena around, though she couldn't pinpoint the exact location.((Wee for lame post. XD))

Koin's ears flicked. Looking foreward again he stood up. Looking around, he walked foreward towards the Mewing sound. A type of cat, he guessed. His ears also flicked towards a light padding sound.
Soft Paws...
It could be anything then. Almost anything. He figured a lion or something, but the scent didn't match that of a lion. He wondered silently.

He'd decided to stop to take a sit. He hadn't been walking long, but with the ache in the pit of his stomach, he just couldn't move too fast, or too often. He let his eyes wander all over the place, from the ground to the skies above, to his own paws...actually.
Minutes later he picked himself up again, and he moved quietly, not aware of anything around him. The world, to this young leopard, was just the ground and him.

Just as she was pondering the mewing sound, her ears picked up yet another, this time the sound of paws. And still, she couldn't see anyone around. Shrugging it off, she shook her head and lifted her nose into the light breeze in the hopes of picking up some clue.
Tailtip twitching idly, she continued to softly pad in the direction she'd chosen previously. Perhaps if she walked far enough, she'd discover the source of those sounds?

Koin spotted a Hyena.
Out here?
Well, obiously, yes. He padded towards it... her, in almost a trot like manner. He was curious to why she was out this far. Maybe she was lost? Or a wanderer like he was. The only was to find out was to ask.

He hadn't walked for long, before something managed to grab his attention. Short attention span, apparently. A little beetle came to his attention, and he leaned down a little, pawing at it before beginning to follow it...wherever it was going.
The beetle distracted the young leopard from the hunger and aching in his stomach, so he didn't notice how far he'd actually walked, until he bumped into something moving.
"Ow.." he mewed, shaking his head and looking up, a timid look in his eyes. "You hurt me.."

Well, it would seem that she was right in her assumptions. It didn't take long before she'd apparently been spotted, and even as she realized such, the one in question was trotting over to her. Ears perking, she turned to gaze openly at the approaching male, nose twitching as she realized it was he that she'd been scenting earlier.
As she hadn't run into anyone before this male, Sauda was a bit cautious, but she couldn't stifle her curiosity. There were several questions running through the adolescent's mind, and if she was lucky, which she hoped she was, she'd get answers to most, if not all of them before this was over.
((Koin's a wild dog then? *is slow today* XD))

Koin tilted his head lightly, before looking down to see a cub of some sort. He sat down, looking at the cub curiously. "Well, I'm sorry for hurting you, young one. Where is your mother?"
It seemed more and more cubs of all kinds were abandoned of late. He wondered why, silently, and waited for the cub to answer, or for the hyena to come closer.

The leopard frowned and sat up, nodding at the creature's apology and thinking on his question. Where was his mother? He'd no idea when he'd last seen her, or what she even looked like.
His salmon eyes met with his red ones, innocence and a bit of hurt shown clearly through them. "I...don't know..." he answered shyly. He turned his head to where the creature had been going, spotting yet another figure. He thought for a moment that it could've been his mother, but looking at it closer, he found that it wasn't her. He turned his head back to who he'd bumped into.
"I'm lost..." he finally admitted, tears pricking his eyes and his stomach growling rather loudly, making his hunger quite evident.

While she was pondering just how to go about greeting the male, it seemed she was given a bit of a break from doing so just yet, in the form of a leopard cub crashing into his side. The whole thing, while a bit odd, was becoming more and more common it would seem. Cubs were turning up all over the place, motherless and apparently all alone.
Tilting her head first to the left and then to the right, she slowly seated herself facing the two males. She could assume that they didn't know each other, but then, she had been wrong about things like this in the past. Holding back a sigh, she subtly leaned closer in an attempt to recognize his scent.
At the cub's words, the hyena frowned and shook her head. She knew all too well what it was like to be without a mother. Shifting slightly closer, she spoke softly to the young one,
"It's alright, would you like us to help you find your mother? Or maybe your father?"

Koin's eyes looked up at the Hyena as she spoke. He nodded in agreement. "It seems a lot of cubs don't have parents to look after them. Do you remember if you were in a groupd of some sort at all?" Koin asked. Maybe he could help jog the little cheetah's memories at all
But then again, he didn't even know if he had a mother or a father, as far as he knew, he'd been a wanderer since day one. He stood up, in case he needed to start walking soon.

He shook his head at the questions, a single tear trailing down his oddly colored fur. He didn't have any memory of where he'd come from, where he'd been, and who his parents and family were.
"I don't remember anything.." he said in a choked up voice. "Just my name.."
He sniffled once or twice, wiping his eyes with a paw. "I'm Chui," he finished. "Who're you two?"

Ears twitching at the sound of the older male's voice, she continued to gaze down at the cub, a look of concern sweeping over her maw.
"It's nice to meet you Chui, my name is Sauda," she replied softly, her tail twitching idly. Somehow, it didn't surprise her to learn that he didn't really remember his family or anything. It was a story she'd heard many times, but it still didn't make it any easier.
"Well, how would you like it if we walked with you and helped you look for your mommy and daddy?" she questioned. Perhaps actively searching for his missing family would jog the lad's memory. Or maybe his family would be looking for him?
