About the Artist
Since it was possible to express myself creatively, I've been doing just that. This interest manifested itself in multiple media; though I have done most of my training and work in 2-D media, I have also done signifigant work in 3-D media. My preffered media is the simple graphite pencil and some inking tools. When doing comic art, I often work in CG, but for more professional art I strongly prefer good, old-fashioned materials.
My art training is extensive so I won't bore you with the details. I took art classes nearly every semester when I was in high school and majored in art (as well as biology) in college [random FYI, the banners here are snippets from my senior thesis exhibition which used pastels!]. I have a background in the fine arts as well as media that often fall outside that definition, such as illustration and graphic design. My personal loves are comic art, fantasy art, and life drawing.
So why am I setting up a shop here? Mostly to keep myself in practice doing some simple comissions for people. Making gold is not my objective, though I welcome any donations (gold OR art!) for the work. If you do donate, I'll give your name some special attention in this thread. whee
Comissions and Current Offerings
At this time, I am going to be offering avatar head shot art only. With a full time job, I don't have the free time to be doing extensive avatar drawings. Also, if I'm going to be spending an extensive amount of time on a piece, I'm not as willing to do it for free. Feel free, however, to throw other possible comissions at me. The worst that I'll do is say no. 3nodding
When you request a CG avatar head, please follow the following protocol:
arrow Post in this thread that you would like a head. NO PMs, please.
arrow Keep your avatar dressed the way you want him or her to look until I post in this thread "comission received" and add you to the "pending comissions" list. This means that I have an image of your avatar saved on my hard drive. ** if you want me to do art for an avatar other than your own (or a dream avatar), you'll need to post the image up for me in your request **
arrow I will try to get your comission done within a week. Depending on how much junk you have on your head, it might take longer. It may also take longer if I am getting swamped with comissions
arrow When I am done with the comission, I will notify you via PM and direct you to this thread. The image will be posted in the introductory sections of this thread.
arrow PLEASE be sure to save the image to your hard drive and ideally get it up on your own server. I cannot guarentee that the images I do will be available on my photobucket account indefinately.
