AIM roleplay // Kilango and Kikore'ruia
Kilango had fled from her familiy for a few hours, making her way towards the center of the Pridelands. It was truely a pitiful pride, to be honest. Tons of lions left and right, and they always seemed to stare at her. Must've been the blue and purple in her. She thought it made her special, but to those normal coloured lions -- it wasn't. She hated them all, anyways. She didn't care what those idiots thought. They'd all die sooner or later.
She glared into the distance, as she spotted another cub, just wandering around obliviously. How fun would that be, to toy with such a soul. She could detect souls easily, since that was her mother's common trait, being a Goddess. He seemed weak, but maybe it was just her first glance that was throwing her off. "Pitiful creatures they are -- all of them." Gaining speed, she raced down to where the cub was, to interegate him, and pester him for her own amusement. This would be exciting.
Kikore settled down in the grasses of the land, having found his favorate spot, he flopped around to his back and looked up to the sky, eyeing the clouds floating through with a whistful sigh. The sky was beautiful, as long as the sun was hidden, and luckly the clouds just filtered across the burning form, leaving just a cool breeze to brush across the cub's furred stomach. He had no clue that the blue creature was rushing down his way, and instead just tilted his head and tried to pick out a shape, any at all.
However, soon enough he could hear pawsteps rushing against the ground adn through the grasses, and slowly he lifted his head to land on his forepaws. Blinking with amber eyes, he saw the female rushing down, and perked his ears a second before standing and letting out a slow yawn. As she got close enough to hear, he called out a cheery, "Hello there!" and waited to see if she would return the greeting.
As she approached the green coloured Kikore, she snorted. Just as she predicted. Weak minded, the common trait of the average pridelander. Is that all they ever did, admire the stupid land and pride? She rolled her eyes, as the cub spoke to her. "Do you even have the mind, or right to even speak with me? I'm more authorative, and smarter than you. So keep your lips sealed, greenbottom." She marched forward, paw by paw, as she came closer to the male. She walked past him, rubbing her soft fur against his own, her tail tickling him lightly on the nose as she left his side.
"I sensed your soul from miles away. Your clearly different from the others. Unless its just the green that I felt. I didn't realize I could sense rare coloured lions as myself. Must be a unique talent of my own." She chuckled slightly, as she haunched her back, sitting beside the other cub.
His smile falling slightly, he just blinked at her reproach before nervously letting out a laugh. When she brushed by his side, he stiffened lightly before blinking at her tail. As it touched his nose, he let out a soft sneeze, before turning to face her and not let her get around. It was weird, seeing another cub besides his sister who was blue. Most around them were different, not all such normal colors, but none really blue save for his father and his eldest sibling.
"You wont make very many friends if you greet them like that..." He murmered softly as she settled down, not commenting on her ability to sense, more worried of how she acted to him, "You are like my sister, not accepting of anyone who doesn't have a pelt as blue as her own..." His voice was soft and filled with light sorrow, though he still held a smile across his maw, "I know she isn't all that bad though...my name is Kikore'ruia..."
"Kilango." The purple and blue marked cub stood back up, and swung around, pacing herself. "I'm sorry if my motives frighten you. Unfortunatly, I don't have many friends at all. Infact, none. I scared my brother half-to-death, and my parents never stop loving me, so I said the hell with it. Who needs them, anyways." She turned back around as her mentioned a blue sister. "So, your of part blue, yes? Interesting." She slanted her eyes, grinning more and more. "So, Kikore. What a nice name. Rolls off the tounge well. I give my paw off to your mother. She named you well."
She looked the opposite way, peering over the horizon. "Is your mother nearby? I sense a strong soul nearby here." She licked her chops in excitement, and began heading towards it. It was soo extremely strong. Like nothing she'd seen before. Her evil was almost taken over by pure awe.
He was stunned at her words, so much that he just stared mutly at her with a slightly open maw, blinking every few seconds before shaking his head and looking from side to side. Sure that no one was around, and positive that his mother was at home in the den, he rushed to his paws and moved to cut her off.
"No, my mother is resting right now...it would be best you dont see her!" He cried out in alarm, before taking a deep breath and calming himself, "And yes, my father is blue, but I look just like my mother...who would love to meet you, just not right now...Kilango."
Faltering, he tried to figure out something, just to keep her away until he could get to know her better (and decide if she was indeed sane or not) and he simply swallowed lightly before letting out a cough, "Well...I...erm...like you pelt!" At that, he felt his cheeks blaze, and knew she would just laugh it off and push past him.
Kilango chuckled up a storm, hysterical. "Do you fear me, young Pridelander? My mortal form may be young, and insignificant -- but my soul is aged, and far more wise than the oldest mortal lion alive to this day." She fled past the green cub, grinning more and more. "I am only to examine what I see. I sense a great soul nearby. Although I do not eat them, I find other means." She looked back, somewhat feeling a sense of sympathy. It was her true side showing itself. Although she seemed rude, intelligent, and well ... ... evil, there was another side to her -- the good side. Her alter ego had shone through for a moment, as she stopped walking. "Are you troubled, young Kikore'ruia?" Her voice didn't seem so deep, and sinister as previously.
As she looked back, she smiled for a moment. Although, it wasn't until long that the soul had grabbed her attention once again, and in response -- she continued going at it. "Palesa, she is. She will be mine, sooner than you think, Greenie."
Eyes widening again at the actions of the other, and just how she sounded and acted, Kikore was stiff in his spot, not able to move after dispite her flash of sympathy. As she went back to her old self (at least old in his mind) she said his mother's name, and a sharp shiver raced down his spine. She was after his mother, and he grew angry at that idea of her hurting his mother. Usually, he was sweet and well tempered, but as soon as Palesa was said, or any sibling for the matter, he suddenly got a flash of strength.
And that strength was back, and suddenly he was on his paws and darting as fast as he could for the blue female before him. Not giving her much of a chance to sense him, though it was easy with her capabilities, he jumped in the air in efforts to pounce her down the small hill beside them and pin her, "I asked you to leave my mom alone!" He cried out softly, not quite anger but fear shifting his voice and fuling his actions, "Please listen!"
As she was struck, she said nothing. Almost as if nothing had happened. Her pupils dialated, as she spoke softly to him. "Kikore, why do you choose to attack me down? I mean you no harm." Her red eyes just looked at him, almost seeming afraid as much as him. Her innocence blindly came in. "You ... ... you didn't have to go and hurt me!" Although, it was a diversion. She rose to her feet in an instant. Kilango had ran off in the direction she'd been walking previously, directly towards the cub's mother. "I must see this one for myself, Kikore'ruia."
She disappeared for a moment, in the distance -- heading for the den of Palesa.
Kikore was taken aback, and of course let off his weight to roll to the side, "I-I'm sorry...I just...you said-" However, he was cut off as she jumped up and ran away, his eyes following her form as he lowered his head slowly. He had lost, he had let her get away and get to his mother, though he knew that Palesa would be safe. She could fight the gods, there was no cub that could keep her down, but still the small pale lion feared for what was to come. He disliked the female, merly for how she treated him, and how she used him.
"How...How can people be so crule..." As he whispered that, he rememebred his elder sister, and how she was just as crule, and silently vowed never to play with blue lioness cubs ever again.
Within the dens, another pale lioness slept, her cubs and 'mate' out in the sunlight while she hid from the winds. As always, she kept away from the summons of the goddess of winds, and decided to ignore them to the best of her ability. In essence, she was hiding, hiding from the fate that wished to drag her away. Shifting, she opened her brown eyes a moment and let out a yawn, before sighing in turn.
Kilango's senses had driven her to the den's opening. Her ears went down, as she padded in, confused. As she came inside, she spotted a green figure lying alone, on the den's floor. It was her -- the one who she had felt a long while back. As she came beside the lioness, she smiled. "Palesa. ... ... the strong souled." Her evil was withered away for a moment, as she came closer, clinging to the female. Her eyes were sealed shut, as she held onto the lioness, forever it seemed. "Your the one I seek."
Shifting to a sudden surprise at the voice, Palesa hid it well as she glanced towards the entrance, catching sight of the small lioness and blinking confused and in a daze. As she moved to her belly and settled like that, she almost stood and backed away when the cub brushed agains her side, and curled close like one of her kin. Confused just as much as Kikore, she paused a moment before her soft, breezy voice echoed through the den.
"Young one, I do not know how you found out my name, nor why I am the one you seek, but maybe you should explain your troubles before coming so close. I do not wish to hear ill news from such a young one as yourself, one who reminds me of my very own family in these lands..."
She looked up at the adult, ears leaning forward. "I mean no trouble, green one. I only felt your soul -- from many miles away. It's strong. ... ... as strong as a heart of gold." She innocently, spoke to the lioness, telling her everything. "I only came her for my own curiousity. Not to frighten you, or scare you away. Your soul interested me, very much. I've never seen such a soul before." She came back to the green female's side, clinging to her once more. "I only ask one thing of you, pure Palesa. ... ... to join you." Her eyes closed once more, as she sat still, beside the lioness.
"I only wish of that, from someone of your stature."
She pondered the words over slowly, and just looked out towards the entrance of the den before her decision was made. Slowly, her paws came to lift the cub and push her slowly away from her body, and she smiled sadly at the youth before her.
"You have a family, something you should not take for granted. I know what it is like to lose family, and that is something I wish not to bring down upon anyone. I am not your mother, young one, nor do I have a right to take you in when you are clearly from a family in this pride. I apoligize, but I just cannot do it..." Lowering her head to the cub's level, her brown eyes shimmered lightly as she offered a small smile
Kilango just stood still, at the opening of the den. "I will not leave you, Palesa. Your soul is what drove me to come here." Her eyes slanted, as she extended her claws. A light growl escaped her jaws. "I do not obey lions. Ever. Unless they are strong-willed, and show me the respect I deserve." She came closer, not following the lioness' orders. "My family is a lost cause. They are stuckup, weak souled Pridelanders who are love struck. I have no desire to listen to that all the time. And my brother is a weakling, scared of everything in existence."
She watched with a raised, mocking brow, before letting out a light laugh and waving the cub off, "Dispite what you think, you have no powers to sway my decision through gestures such as trying to attack me. You are simply a cub, and nothing more. My decision will not change, so you must live with it, for we do not get everything we wish for in life, and you must learn that yourself..." Turning her head suddenly, she caught sight of Kikore in the denway, and smiled softly to him with a warm gaze.
"Suit yourself, Palesa -- Kikore. I'll come back one day, returning to you. ... ... I will join you then." She glared, and then snorted madly, leaving the den in an instant. She kept her cool, for now.
