Hikari walked happily through the meadow. It was a cool day out with a fresh chill breeze that told you fall was coming. The white and rainbow spotted talaye had a slight spring in her walk as today was her first day out and about. She was eager to meet other talaye and hoped to atleast meet one new friend today.

Daichi was sliently sitting at the top of a tree, on a large branch. He observed the surrounding, taking a glance at every moving object. The black talaye had been around the meadow a few times before, but he never really had any contacts with any other talaye of his kinds. Perhaps today would be a good day. He jumped down the tree and wagged her tail slowly behind him, as he looked around for any other talaye near by. As his yellow piercing eyes brushed around, he stopped on a while-rainbow colored moving thing. Another talaye? He smiled lightly to himself and started walking in its direction.

Hikari continued to walk aimlessly about the meadow unaware that someone was coming her way. She was just too happy and eager to meet others to notice her surroundings. She fanned her wings, stretching them and warming them up in the cool air. Stiff wings just weren't a good thing plus it helped her keep her excitement under control.

As the young male got closer, he noticed it was a female. A female talaye! How much joy would that bring him?! Well he didn't exacly know. Cause this was his first time going over to meet a female talaye. As he looked around to find a way to impress her, his eyes landed on a big rock that was right next to her. GOOD! He ran over as quickly as he could, trying not to make any noises and hide behind the rock, watching her for a moment. Wait for the right moment little one. When her back was facing the rock, he jumped and climbed all the way to the top. "TADAH!!" let ouf Daichi, standing proud on the top of the rock, like a king on his royal chair... rock.

Hikari jumped at the noise of someone behind her. Turning quickly she looked and only saw a rather large rock. Looking around her she still could not see what or who had made the noise that scared her until it finally dawned on her too maybe look up and see if anyone was on top of the rock and sure enough there was. A black talaye with golden eyes was looking down at her from his perch on top of the rock. "Hey, you! What in the world are you doing up there? You know your going to fall off of there and get hurt." she called up to him wondering how he even got up there.

Daichi blinked to the female's comment. Fall? But how? He chuckled lightly, "I'm much of a good climber, I can climb ANYTHING!" he said, puffing his chest, all proud of himself. She sure had a strong voice for a colorful talaye like she was. At first glanced she looked more like a shy one. Heh, looks can be desceving? he shrugged. "WATCH!" he shot. With that, the young, black male jumped down the rock, letting his wings float him all the way down into the grass, in front of the female. "See? Not one single scratch!!" he said with a large smirk on his face.

Hikari blushed as the male talaye landed in front of her. She hadn't known that he would show off for her because of her comment. She just didn't want the first person she met to get hurt. Shaking her head to get the flusters out, she looked the black male talaye up and down. "I can see that you are unhurt. That is a good thing." she replied. It's not hard to see that when he's right there! she thought to herself. "My name is Hikari. I should have introduced myself before I went off critisizing you." she said trying to be polite and not scare him away by being rude.

Daichi chuckled to himself. "Of course it's a good thing! I wouldn't have climbed up there if I knew I'd hurt myself. Talayes shouldn't try things they don't think is safe for them..." he said with a nod. "Ah!" he exclaimed. "Well it's nice to meet you Hikari. My name is Daichi... And don't worry about the critic, I guess I was a little excessive at some point." he replied to the female talaye. Then, he seemed to be thinking for a moment. "Do you know how to climb? You know people seem to think it's easy, but there's a right way to do it, so you don't hurt yourself! I could show you if you'd like!" he suggested with a smile.

She smiled at the black talaye now that she knew his name. "It is nice to meet you Daichi. You have to be the first person that I have met so far." she said meaning it to be a compliment to make up for her critisizing. She flexed her wings and stretched them out as she became excited over meeting someone new. "To be honest, I have not tried to climb, so I don't know if I can. I can see where people would think that it was easy cause you make it seem to simple." she said and blushed at his offer to show her how to climb.

A smile crossed Daichi's face as he looked over at Hikari. "Let's start climbing!" he said with excitment. To that, he walked around the large rock and waited for the female talaye to follow him. "Now, good things to remember when you want to climb. Observe your target carefully. The last thing you want to do it hurt yourself." he started to explain. "You gotta start by knowing your limits as well. If your instinct is telling you this isn't a good idea. You might as well listen to it..." he said with a smile, as he looked back over at Hikari. "If you remember does simple things, everything will be much easier!" he added with a nod, looking back at the rock with glowy eyes.

Hikari followed the other talaye around to the other side of the rock. She listened carefully to what he said and nodded after the advice he had given her. The white talaye looked up the rock and then back at Daichi. "So how do you get started?" she asked seeing as she had never climbed before and so didn't know how to even get started. "Why don't you show me and then I will try to do what you do." she suggested.

Daichi nodded at her as she spoke. "Yes! Good idea!" he said. "First! Find a good spot to start." he started with. "Usually, it's all about observing your target. Find a lower spot to step on." as he said, he stepped on a lower spot of the rock and leaned his front paws higher on it. "Just always make sure you don't make bigger steps than you think you can do. That's how you'll end up falling or hurting yourself." he said. Daichi then jumped higher, and finally made it to the top of the rock. "Just repeat the first step and everything should be fine. But remember it's all about practice! You won't get up there in 1 second the first times." he said with a smile.

She watched as the other talaye made his way up the rock and then put her front feet on it. "Well, here goes nothing!" she said as she started to make her way up the rock. As she went up she ran through what Daichi had told her about climbing. Higher and higher she went until she finally made it to the top and was rather suprised that it was done with so quickly. Looking about she could almost see every part of the meadow from up there. "Wow! It's so high up! I can everything from here!" Hikari exclaimed as she looked on in amazment.

"There you go... nice and easy." said Daichi, as he watched her climb up the rock forward him. As she reached up and finally made her last step her smiled over at her. But she was too busy checking out everything around for her too notice. He chuckled lightly, "Yeah it is pretty high up here! But I think you can see better from a tree." he said with a nod, almost as if he was talking to himself. "But trees are too hard to climb, I don't think it's worth it!" said the black talaye.

Hikari continued to look about the meadow from her perch a top the rock and then turned to Daichi. "Why isn't it worth it to climb trees. We have wings so we really don't need to climb up them we can fly up to them." she asked quizically. "It wasn't too hard to climb up this here rock. Though I never would of thought of climbing it."
