So I found a fansite for FFVI the other day, and it had traslations of the heights and weights of each character from the guide. I looked up Setzer, because I'm a fan of him.
Setzer is five feet, nine inches tall. And he weighs a hundred and six pounds.
Let me repeat that, 5'9", 106 lbs.
Does the man have an eating disorder or what? I'm no expert on height/weight ratios, but I know I'm 5'2" and I weight more than that. GAU weighs more than that, and he's thirteen. Gogo is 5'5", 132 lbs, which is pretty normal, I think.
So why is Setzer so skinny? Any theories?

I'm not sure... Amano-sama does make awfully skinny, tall characters.
Perhaps he gambles so much that he forgets to eat? sweatdrop

That seems like a typo to me. I think it's supposed to be 160 pounds, but I could be wrong.
I suggest checking other places to make sure on that though.

Guess I'll have to g with a combination of the two previous suggestions. Evil typo of massive weight loss, or Setzer lost all his gil gambling. It's not like he's a big runner or anything. He flies around the world in an Airship. Maybe kidnapping women is physically taxing.
