Malika decided that today she was going to relax alittle. She had met so many new people that she just needed to lay back and relax to sort everything out. She lay by the waters edge, staring at her refection in the waters smooth surface. Letting one white paw dangle in the water the lioness watched as her reflection was distorted by the ripples caused by placing her paw in.
Everything was so peaceful here and the adol couldn't have been more happy than she was then. However she was slightly disappointed that in all her adventures around she hadn't come across the lions she had met at the meeting.
One in particular, she wasn't sure why but not having seen him was what bothered the lioness the most.

Angamika sighed, trying to get the troubling words out of his head. His silver eyes were more mirrored than normal as he padded elegantly down towards the oasis. Something was bothering him, and it would do him no good to brood upon it.
At the sight of another shape at the water's edge, his composure slipped instantly into an enigmatic, happy smile, gold markings bright on his dark coat as he stepped out of the shadows of the ruins. Who, who.... wait, Malika! His own personal slave, was she not?
"Fair day, Malika," He called aimiably, tail dusting at the sand behind him.

Malika had spaced off not realizing that someone else was around until they spoke to her. Her ears pricked at the sound of the voice and her heart leaped when she recognized it. She was on her paws shortly after as she turned to face him.
A smile was on her face when she said "As always Angamika" She took a step forward then hesiatated. "Has it not been a while since I have seen you?" The white lioness asked him obviously glad to see him.

As innocent as always. The one who thought himself a seer smiled benevolently, stepping right past her to the water's edge, though almost brushing her shoulder.
"The water looks so pretty today," he said, voice almost surprised, and lightly cheerful, though he ignored the previous comment. "Do you not think so, Malika? As clear and as pure as your heart." He blinked, leaving black hollows for eyes for a moment, before turning his head back to look at her. He was almost glad Nyekendu had given her care to him. The brutish lord, though strong and powerful in holding his lands, would ruin a rare specimen like her.

"Very pretty...." Malika replied agreeing in her soft tone of voice then she realized what he had said after that. "Do you think so?" She wasn't sure of what else to say in response to his statement.
Still the pale lioness did not know that she was Angamika's slave since she had not heard the converstation that went between him and Nyek. However even if she knew she may have been just happy to have more of a reason to be around. "May I ask what brings you here?"

"Nothing in particular, Malika," he said, dipping one redbrown paw in the water, seemingly fascinated by the rainbow ripples each drip produced in the still water around. "But I'm glad you are here. Have you spoken to the lord Nyekendu recently?"
His tail flickered slightly behind him in the sand again, but he did not look at her.

"I have talked to the lord but that was more than a few days ago, why do you ask?" Malika tilted her head when she finished the question not only interested in why he was asking but why he looked away from her when he finished speaking.
"Have I done something to upset you?" The pale lioness asked with worry in her voice. If she had done something wrong she could only hope that she would be able to fix it.

Angamika looked up at her in surprise, before closing his eyes and laughing a light merry laugh.
"Not in the slightest! I don't think you could, my dear. I just.... well, I managed to speak to the Lord, and as a result of my words, I managed to achieve something."
He winked a silver eyes solemnly, the lies falling easily.
"How would you fancy freedom from most of your other tasks, and becoming my personal attendant?"

Malika then looked relieved, happy that she had done nothing wrong. "I am glad I have done nothing to upset you." She told him with relief in her voice.
If he was lying she was unable to tell, she was never good at that sort of thing. "I...." She wasn't sure how to put her joy into words until she said "I would be honored, no I would love to be your personal attendant, but may I make one small request, please?"

"One request, I think I could deign to that," The adolescent's tone was amused, and he fixed silver mirrored eyes on the pale female. This was much better than saying she had been given to him as a slave already. One that would hurt her psyche less, he suspected.
He watched for her reply curiously, glad of the chance to take his mind from the troubling writings.

"The princess has requested that I visit her in the afternoon everyday, I agreed, would I may I still visit her?"Malika asked him looking over at the male hopefully. She had a feeling that she would be able to even if it would have to be shorter than the lioness had planned but it didn't bother her in the least.
As Malika watched him she had the strange feeling something was wrong, he had been after all, atleast to her, acting different "Is something bothering you?"

"Nothing ever bothers me, honey bee," he said mildly, standing up straighter and stretching languidly before turning to sit with his back to the water's edge, paws daintily in front of him.
"And I already knew that. Of course you can. The princess is probably not to be denied her priveleges, is that not so?"

Bitting down on her lip Malika took a minute or two to decide if she should say anything more on the subject. "If that is what you say, it just seemed like you were acting different, however, I apologize for poking my nose in" She told him wrinkling her nose slightly before she smiled again.
"Thank you very much, you do not know how happy this makes me."
