For those of you who dont know nysma is a Band thing in which you play three selected peices and then get judged on it. I know New York has it but im not sure about other states. We jus had ours on Staten Island and my BAnd got silver.......on a level 4 peice too.....but i got an E on my alto Sax solo.........Post what your band got and/or how you did on your solos

We, in SC, have Concert Festival. And my band got an Excellent. crying we were only 3 points away from having a Superior!

kool superior!!!!!!welll the bands here dun get excellents. For the solos on level 4 you can get an outstanding excellent or good..........for level 5 and above you get A, B, C, D, or F........And for the bands you get gold with diligence. gold silver or bronze

we have VBODA (virginia band and orchestra director's association)
we're juged twice a year (1st for marching band at states, then in the spring for festival)
lake braddock band has gotten the superior rating EVERY YEAR for 24 years......and during that time we've had like the best band director ever...
time for me to brag.....
1st fall comp: 1st place overall
2nd: 1st place overall
states/VBODA: superior in all categories-->overall superior
Fiestival....
concert 2: 2nd place crying
concert 1+symphonic (they went to chicago for the midwest clinic so this was optional): 1st place
color guard: 1st place, superior rating
jazz band: 1st place
overall 1st place ^^

we have something like that but its only one solo and i got an excellent 1 point from superior! crying crying gonk

last month my band (whoz in cali) went to festival and we got unaumais(sp) superior(sp) and were a middle school band playing high school peices ^_^

peice1- Fantasy Variations on a theme by nicolo paganini
peice2- Mannin veen
Festival-Straight ones
Southwest invitational- 98,98,100 (98.6/100)
Concert band
Grade5
Festival- straight ones
Contest in atlanta- straight "gold"(1's)
This is one of our good years, we've also been to mid west and got like a 96 a 98 and a 100 i think it was.

Upper State - 6th
State- 12th crying (Thought we should have gotten better at state)
