I'm trying to decide if I should even start writing this book.

Read everything I have written before posting, 'kay?

I want to write a book from four different people's point of views.

Arianna, Amaya , Aden, Skyler.

Too many "A" names. But that's beyond the point. Two guys, two girls. Four completely different people.

Ari-the aloof one. Totally sane, but a writer and head in the clouds type of person.
Amaya-Either the prep, the tomboy, or exactly like me (crazy loud outspokenect). Minus the writer part of me that will be Ari. Could be anything, actually, at this point. Perhaps a punk musician.
Aden-The quiet guy
Skyler-the loud, popular, absoluetely everyone loves him guy.

But the idea is just so cliched. I think I could pull it off, but still, I dunno. And I've already got a 1/5 finished novel sitting that hasn't been touched for months.

If I were to write this, it'd probably just be normal teenage highschool drama (probably somewhat overdramatized), somehow tying the four personalities together.

Whaddya think? Should I try it?

Go for it.
If it doesnt work,
then just try again.
Its how things work.

First have to try in order to know.
Because no matter what they say..
You can't truely learn from others mistakes.

Do it.

Chances are, you probably won't go back to that 1/5 finished novel if you still haven't shown any interest after all this time. It's how our young writing minds work... unfortunately.

If you want to write it, write it. If you don't get one thing down chances are you'll regret it.

write it.

The story is form you, and therefore part of you. if you don't do anything with it, you will feel like there is something missing in your life.

Writing a book helps you to understand your world, your characters, etc. It helps you to sort out every complication and detail. And in that, it is almost like you were there.

Which is the only thing a writer's soul can be satisfied with.

I started it.

But I have two other partially started books...

And I havne't been writing any of them.

I've got to stop starting things and start finishing them.

Hence what I said earlier. It's not unusual for teenage writers to start pieces and forget about them halfway through: Our attention spans won't allow it.

I would just focus on the current work at present. If you finish this one, then you can allow time to go back and think about the other two. But I'd suggest leaving them in the past, if you have no further interest in them.

I procrastinate on EVERYTHING. Homework, extracurriculars, boring junk you name it.

Everything except my book. ~o^ I luff my book.

And if you really love something like I do, you can't let it go away.

I read an actually published book like that and I loved it. It told the story of their highschool relationships and how all eight of them interconnected. Poems and prose.

I read another one like that too. Summer in four kids lives. Both were amazing- so this is me saying YES.. finish it between procrastinating for something else. mrgreen
