Welcome to my first LD thread. Some of you probably know me from EVIL or the Exchange, but now I'm here, in flying colours, literally. (Don't ask)
In any case, I thought I'd make a thread to you good people, and it has a point.
What do you do to amuse yourselves on Gaia?
I've been on Gaia for almost a year and a half now, and I've gone through phases. Mostly I've been a hardcore Exchanger, and I did the Charity thing for a bit.
But now, I'm bored.
Exchanging has been so funky lately, I really don't have the heart to anymore. In fact, today I sold off a pair of minis to gain funds to buy every single f/u common, but what about after that?
I don't want to leave Gaia, but outside of random chatting and guild posting, I have nothing to do here sweatdrop
So, hoping you all can share some ideas and maybe offer some advice?

Well I used to be an ED fanatic... but the onslaught of chatterbox topics really pushed me away from that.
Now the only thing that comes to my mind is Exchanging/Vending. I don't think I can really help you much. I'm pretty happy playing the money game.
Have you considered going for a fishing trophy? If not, you could always wait until the Casino is announced. razz

Rp, I consider that fun.
I like Gaia because of how understanding people are. A refuge from the real dreadful world, I dream and fanatasize and relax as all my worries seem to dissolve entering this world. Different personalities, different people to meet. To help, to bump, to Rp with.
I can't really tell you what you should do to have fun, You just have to keep looking :3

Xeroxer Rp, I consider that fun. I like Gaia because of how understanding people are. A refuge from the real dreadful world, I dream and fanatasize and relax as all my worries seem to dissolve entering this world. Different personalities, different people to meet. I've seen a bunch, they're all so mindless sweatdrop Even so called literate RPs make scared here. I don't mean to sound egotistic, but I'm just too intelligent sweatdrop The only forum RP I've ever enjoyed was one I did with a friend of mine on a different forum, and we actually created character sheets! And all of the posts were at least a few paragraphs.... it was glorious; one step right of adding in some d20, and one step left of being a full-fledged novel beginning.
I could start my own, but I don't think people would go for it. Ah well, it's something to consider though ^_^

3nodding I felt the same way, so ive been taking a break for awhile. I was the biggest exchange whore ever for awhile, then I moved to the Q & A to help answer questions, did the whole life devoted to fishing for a month thing, worked with F.I.S.H., was a contest whore in the chatterbox for awhile, whored the R & C for art commissions for the longest time, then back to the exchange I went. The prices have been so funky in there latley, that I sort of took a breather and decided to wait until everything calms down a bit.
Seems like i was never into the whole rp thing either.

Ah well, it's something to consider though ^_^It is quite likely that other Gaians feel the same way that you do, each in their own thoughts afraid that they are the only ones. Being the one that tries to bring them together would be a worthwhile project. Since those folks will be scattered far and few between the majority of Gaians, devising a RP designed to gather them in would be an interesting occupation of your time.

I've never been an exchanger. I can buy low if I take the time, but I'll also want to sell low, so it doesn't work for me.
Not a big poster either, I normally lurk around gaia and then just post every once in a while. Other than lurking I'll draw pictures, get sick of drawing pictures and stop coming on gaia for a long time, then draw more pictures. I get lots of practice this way at least.
My answer would be to tell you to do a creative project, like I've been thinking about doing a comic. If you aren't into that kind of thing I can see how it would be harder to find something to do, but if you are going to be working full time like you say the problem might end up taking care of itself.

Well, I can give the RP thing a shot. I suppose the hardest part would be getting word out there... not to mention thinking something up.
I do do art, but without a scanner, can't do much in that area as of now. Ah well, it's stuff to think on.
