That's cool! I cosplay 2D sometimes. 'Specially on last Halloween. But I usually just wear my blue wig around the house. xd xd It'll be my costume this Halloween, too.

What's in your head ~
I've cosplayed 2D a few times - I used his outfit from the cover of the Phase 2 press booklet. Blue hair gel is such a b***h. gonk Sometimes I just wear the outfit around town, it looks normal enough. People lean out their car windows and ask me to sing something, though. sweatdrop
Just a tip about making the helmet-hat-radio thing if you haven't already - try using a football helmet with the grille detached, and then add whatever works - pieces of headphones and wires with beads on the ends would work well, I think.
