I know this is old news but I can't get it out of my mind.
When I think of the new Survivor, I think of a former friend of mine. He used to always stereotype me and everyone else. He'd say things like "Pigeons only s**t on black people" or "All Asians are cheap".
I think if that show aired, people would start stereotyping races by that show. I could be just paranoid though.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I am against that show being aired.
Not that I'm worried that the black team will act up. I'm worried about the people who will only see what they want to see.
Gah. What am I going on about? Lol. Just vote.

So, I just happened to be home on Thursday night to watch Survivor. Almost everyone commented on how the teams were divided by race and they all swore that race didn't matter... (The white guy couldn't even be bothered to remember the names of "the black guy" who sent him to exile island because he stole "the asian guy's" chicken rolleyes )
I have to say that I have mixed feelings about the show.
I won't say which team will win in the end because if you've watched previous Survivor shows, you will know that they eventually join the teams together at the end.
With that being said, let's address the stereotypes.
The first tribal challenge kind of sets the precedence for now. The Asian team won because they were so organized. (I could so say something racist here but I won't smile ) The Hispanic team was in 2nd. Surprise, surprise, no? The white team was third. (And everyone swore they'd be the best. rolleyes ) And the black team came in last. -_- I was a little disappointed...but they were so disorganized.
Personally, I blame the fat dude. All talk and no game. Kind of reminds me of my deadbeat unemployed cousin that talks crap about everyone in the family... dramallama Sooo anyway....
The weird dude on the Asian team was the only one to make racist jokes about his own race. Lol. But then again, he's a hypocrite because he claimed himself all american but then used some ancient Chinese remedy to heal a headache on the other dude. Personally, I wouldn't go near him... stare
The Hispanic team doesn't even look Hispanic... They all look weird... :s
The white team did not show this superiority that everyone says they have. ninja
The black team did jump in the water and they did swim. They did not fight over the chicken. And they weren't absolutely horrible. They were just disorganized. (And I blame the fat dude. :p) Stop putting your race down and show some pride. burning_eyes

I don't watch survivor, so this is news to me. I did hear that something new was going on with the way teams were formed, but I didn't know that they would be formed for ethnicity.

In my opinion, Survivor has sucked from the beginning. So there was definitely no way I'd watch it when the teams are divided by race. It's all just a ploy to get some sort of unnessacary drama started.
