Earthclan Territory The Earthclan cats have adapted to living on the rocky cliffs overseeing the ocean. None of the other clan cats can make it as easy down the rocky paths to their dens in the rock. One wrong move and you could fall into the ocean. There are ledges and paths that lead down the very short way to their caves. There are six major caves in the rock, the nursery, the elders den, the warriors den, the apprentices den, the medicine cat's den, and the leader's den.  This is a collage of the cliff that Earthclan lives on. Most shots are farther down the cliff toward the water. Earthclan lives near the top of the cliff in caves near a tree that leans over the cliff. Some of the dens are right under the tree. *note: all pictures came from screenshots from a screensaver I have.

Spottedstar greeted the sun as she lightly padded from her den. It shined down on her black and white coat, as her yellow eyes shown great happiness. She mewed in delight of the beautiful day. She padded over to the fresh kill pile which contained the some of the food she caught yesterday. She put her trust in a young bright kit by the name of Sunkit, he had a full ginger pelt and was not even a moon, but she had confidence in him ever scince she found him yowling in the forest.
The kits eyes just opened, he was a frisky one, as Spottedstar would say. The kit scampered from the nusery running into her, "How goes hunting leader?"
"It is well." she answered taking out a small field mouse to set infront of him. She took out a bit of a fatter one for herself. ((I forget how to say fall and winter so I will just say fall and winter)) "Fall is here you know, soon winter will be upon us. A hard season it is." She looked up to see the thick clouds ubove her. Then watched the trees change colors. The two cats eyes glowed in delight.
"Wow!" mewed Sunkit, "So pretty!"
"Yes, it is very pretty, but we need to restock on fresh kill, maybe I should round up a few cats. You should look at the ocean while we are gone, just don't fall in!" Spottedstar stalked away to gather cats.
((I usaully don't type so much, but I am introducing my character, and trying to make sort of a plot.))

((fall: leaf-fall, winter: leaf-bare))
Silverspeck opened her eyes to find bright sunlight shining into her den. She yawned and stretched before slowly stepping out into the rock ledge. The sun was just up and she could see the water lapping at the rock at the bottom of the cliff. The trees were just starting to turn bright shades of colour, and a faint breeze filled the air. She jumped from her ledge to the main clearing where a few cats were already out and getting ready for patrols and training.
She saw Spottedstar on the far end gathering up a few cats for a hunting patrol. "Hi!" She said as she got closer.

Spottedstar smiled at Silverspeck, "Glad to see you Silverspeck, I need all the cats I can get to go out hunting." she looked owards Sunkits direction watching him explore the cliffs. She turned back to Silverspeck and nodded, "Will you join me?" she asked her ear twitching to the bird and scarrtering nioses in the grasses.

"Sure I'd love to, I'll collect some herbs on the way." Silverspeck answered, heading up to the top of the cliff with the others. Not much prey lived on the rock ledges but plenty made their home in the wide open spaces above the cliff.
((oh yeah, and later on tonight, my medicine cat will get a sign from starclan about the other two clans.))

Spottedstar nodded and headed up the cliff as well. She wasn't a very good digger, she would usually chase her prey, so she went to a more foresty area by the waterfall to see if any animals were drinking there. She went into a stalking position and noticed a rabbit drinking the fresh, lush waters. She heard a rasping noise of it slurping down the water the trickled on its muzzle. Spottedstar licked her own lips and pounced.
She landed on its back, breaking it. She brought it back to the fresh-kill pile and dropped it in, but Sunkit sat there waiting. "Wow big catch!" he mewed with sparkling eyes.
Spottedstar sighed, "You want to ask when you can go hunting, right?" Spottedstar sat down with her head drooping. "You are a kit that is one moon old, you can't go for another six moons." Sunkits eyes still didn't loose their shine, "I know how you await to be Sunstar, but I can't ensure that you will be, I will be gone during those times of your life young kit."
Sunkit all the sudden shook his head and his eyes stopped their sparkle, "G-g-gone! You mean off to the StarClan..." Sunkit's eyes began to water. He beagn crying as Spottedstar looked down on him.
"S" she began "S" she tried once more to speak but rephrsed here words once more, "Sunkit, these things do and must happen, please stop mewing." Sunkit sniffed and headed off to the nusery. She couldn't let him stop the hunt so she went back out by the waterfall.

Silverspeck finished hunting and brought her catch back to the camp with the others. As she put down the prey into the fresh kill pile she heard one of the kits singing in the distance. She looked over at a small ledge near the nusery, the kit was completely black and the song it was singing echoed over the cliff. Silverspeck didn't ever remember seeing that kit before but it didn't matter, there were many cats in the clan that she hadn't formally met yet. What was strange however was that the moonlight shone almost directly onto the black kit.
She heard her name called and turned to reply. When she turned back, the kit was gone. She blinked but it was completely gone.
Was that a sign from Starclan? She asked herself.
((okay, now I'm off to the gathering the next day.))

Whitefoot opened her mouth to let in the smell of prey, since it was almost leaf-bare. She had to find enough prey to stock up the foodpile. She scented mouse, and crouched down, trying to locate the mouse. She saw it, and pounced. It almost got away, but she chased it for a little while, then got close enough to kill it. She picked it up to bring it back to camp.

Silverspeck crawled out of her den, it was the day after the gathering and it was bright and sunny as it had been over the last moon. She padded over to the fresh kill pile and after eating, headed over to the elders den to help get rid of some ticks that had returned.
