This is the story of angels and demons. A demon without an angel, and an angel with his demons. They travel together, but they are alone. Outcast and feared, they would die without each other. They've never spoken, but each one knows that the other is there. Both their lives are full of lies, but it's all they can do to survive. This is the story of Voreten and Rezane, and how it all began.

Name: Voreten Nickname: Vor Guardian: dark77778 [Shane Foster] Gender: Male
Personality: Voreten is a very shy, scared and anemic little boy. He wants to be nothing more than normal and happy. He also wishes he never had his condition, but knows that it can't be helped, but he tries to hide it as much as possible. He is quiet most of the time, but once he feels comfortable, he can be a very happy and almost excited boy. However, he will never be too excited, as it would trigger his condition.
Appearance: Vor has deep blue [slightly fuzzy] blue skin, cute cherry red eyes, long, scruffy dirty blond hair, a thin forked tail [like a snakes tongue] with fur on either end, and tall pointed ears. Later on he may get some ear peircings. His body is very frail and he constantly looks weak or unhealthy. Note: I'll be okay,as long as I'm here.
Concept/Past Life: Voreten was a boy born by a human mother and demon father, who dissapeared the day of his birth. He was born with quite possibly, the worlds weakest heart, and was destined to die at birth. However, a passing angel heard Voreten's cries, and feeling sorry for the poor boy, rebeled and sacrificed his reputation and freedom to save his life. Still with his heart condition, Voreten tries to live life as best as he can, while still being careful. He doesn't really know that when he passes out, he really dies for a short period of time as his body and soul are both sent to purgatory. What he does know though, is that if he gets too emmotional or his heart starts pounding too fast, he gets a huge pain in his heart, a feels weak, and a wind blows about him that he knows if it gets too strong, bursts into flame, and him along with it. Then he is suddenly asleep and frozen in a scary cold place with scary noises, but he is at least still safe.
(*)Voreten's abilities:
Voreten doesn't have much in the way of abilities going for him as anything strong would probably kill him. However, he does have two primary sklls.
1) Minor telekenisis: He can lift lightweight objects with his mind, or slightly slow a heavy objects decent. The later of these two abilities wears him out significantly
2) Minor wind conjuring: Voreten can voluntarily mimic the severity of wind equal to half of what would happen if his heart was giving out.

Name: Rezane Nickname: Rez Guardian: dark77778 [Shane Foster] Gender: Male
Personality: Rezane is very protective to the point of being ruthless in the way that he protects Voreten. Even though his nature is very selfless, he puts on a guise of being selfish so that he can be hated and feared, so that he won't have to be disturbed so often and so that Voreten would be able to go through life without much hassle, or being made fun of. He hates being woken up for pointless reasons and will usually lash out at the first thing he see's when awakened. He'll usually wait for some kind of explination though, before excecuting judgement. Deep down, Rezane cares for Voreten more than anyone else could, and on many occasions, wonders if he made the right desicion to save him. He also doesn't like it when people defy him, but would probably love a woman that did it so often and showed that she too cared for Voreten.
Appearance: Rezane is very tall and built, but he has a very beautiful figure. He has an angelic grace about his movement, but also a very fiery and angry way that he carries himself. [You could almost picture Axel's sort of attitude.] His eyes are icey blue [the opposite of Voreten's cute red eyes], and his skin is very pale, almost like that of a vampire. His hair is dark red and shoulder length and drops like it's very heavy and wet. His head is narrow and oval, but his jaws are very strong and square. Rezane has a small, but pointed nose. He is standardly seen wearing a crimson robe or karate outfit, but has also been known to wear dark red punk pants and a dark red leather jacket [almost as if blood was used to make the dye]. Rezane, being a guardian angel and all, also has a pair of crimson wings sticking out of his back. These wings are used for the purpose of both flying, and for his special ability.
Rezane's ability: Rezane's feathers and wings can grow and wrap themselves around him. Once they've done this, they become as hard as diamonds, and equally as heavy. Rezane becomes nearly fully encapsulated [except for the ground on which he sits upon] by his wings and protected. The probelm with this is that while in this state, he cannot move, and the amount of time that it takes for his wings to go back to normal would be a fatal error on his part. This ability is only a last rezort for Rezane as he basically is forced to just sit until help arives, or the attacker/threatening situation leaves.
Concept/Past Life: Rezane was once human, until the day that he died and his spirit became an angel. After that day, he forgot all about who he was and focussed all his energy into becoming a guardian angel. Rezane had a hard time acheiving this however, as he was known as a fiery angel, not just in allignment, but also in temperment. Eventually, after a long period of time and consideration, the angels decided that Rezane was ready to undertake his first assignment. It's not that Rezane wasn't good, he was one of the best. The problem was that Rezane liked to do things his way, and not the way that things were supposed to be.
The fear that the other angels had of this part of Rezane's attitude was soon justified. On the day he would recieve his assignment, Rezane on his cloud heard the crys of little Voreten as he came into the world gasping for life. When Rezane questioned the fate of this boy, and who his angel was, he was met with the unexpected answer of "This boy will have no angel, hie is meant to die."
Rezane thought that this verdict was completely unfair. He looked in on the house of his assigment and the child that he was assigned. The boy seemed healthy, the parents were happy and loving, and the boy seemed like he'd be safe, with or without Rez's help. Making up his mind, on the situation, Rezane relinquished his orders and flew to the dying Voreten's aid. Soon, an army of angels rushed after him, but they weren't fast enough for the cunning Rezane.
Rezane's plan was this: He would turn himself into a part of Voreten, thereby hiding himself from the other angels and allowing Voreten to live a normal life, as Rezane helped to strengthen the survival resistance of Voreten's body. These extra vital signs came in the form of a mixture of both Voreten and Rezane's elementaly allignments: wind and fire. As a warning of Voreten's vital signs, a warm wind would blow about the boy, utnil things got so out of controll that his body would fail, and Rezane would extract himself from Voreten's mind in a pillar of fire, and allow Voreten's dying body to be sent to Purgatory. When Voreten's body would eventually recover in Purgatory, it would be sent back to wherever Rezane was, and then Rezane would be sent on a gust of wind to become a part of Voreten's mind once again. This way, the angels would never be able to find him as they would always just see Vor.
(*) Rezane's weapon: Rezane also has a very intresting weapon that comes in three phases. If he doesn't use it for fighting, he loves to have it for intimidation's sake. Firstly, there's the magma katana. This is Rezane's sword in it's standard form. It's really pretty useless and just looks like a fairly blunt sword made out of red rock.
Rezane's sword's second phase is a magma whip. With a certian amount of pure concentration, Rezane can bring the hardened magma back to life, creating a searing hot whip of flowing magma. This magama stays in the shape of a whip though. [Kinda like how a lightsaber technically should go all the way up to the ceiling and disperse, considering it's made of light. This magma doesn't gush out or ooze or anything, it just flows within itself.]
Rezane's sword's third and final phase is the only actual usefull sword that he has. With more concentration, Rezane can make the magma expand and flow and grow until it becomes about 6 feet in height. It then harddens into a red steaming hot buster sword with magma flowing like insulation within it, keeping the smooth, sharp stone that makes the sword constantly hot.

How did we get here? Voreten used to have a pretty good life. He lived with his mother and older twin sisters in a fairly large country house. There was a lake and a forest there too, which Voreten loved to explore all the time. When he lived there, he had many misadvantures and grew very close to his family. Back then, he and Rez were able to have a few limited conversations, and Rez's influence sometimes helped Voreten out when he was down, considering he never had any other male figure besides Rez. However, behind everybodies back, Rezane was actually starting to fall for one of Voreten's sisters. One day, Rezane decided that he would take the sister to Purgatory to see what really happend to Voreten when he suddenly disapeared like he did and came back freezing cold and scared. It would be dangerous, but this was Rezane's equivalent to a date with the sister, and didn't want to seem like a coward. However, that day everything went horribly wrong. When they got to Purgatory, the angels that overlooked Purgatory found and finally detected Rezane and Voreten in their seperate streams of conciouseness. Quickly, Rezane pushed Voreten's sister out of the door to purgatory and flew away with the still unconcious body of Voreten. Knowing that they wouldn't be safe for long from the legion of angels, Rezane quickly dove into a nearby subway station. Hopefully this would give him time to think of a plan, as the angels would probably take a long time scouering the skies before they looked underground. However, Rezane couldn't think of a plan at all, and for the first time, the angel felt completely unconfident and useless and did something he'd never done before; he cried. Suddenly, as the tears streamed down his face and onto Voreten's cold, unconciouse body, Rezane watched as a train pulled into the station. It was the Naviat. This train was magical, Rezane could tell as he carried Voreten over to it. He stared at it for a long time, thinking about what he'd be leaving behind, and what the reprocusions of his decision would mean for Voreten. Where would they end up? Would Voreten be safe there? Who would take him in? Would Voreten hate him for what he'd done? All these questions raced through his mind as Rezane took his steps onto the train. He'd made his decision: They would go, because this way they would live. Rezane then hid himself again within the back of Voreten's mind. When he was there, he suddenly felt the power of the Naviat pulling at Voreten's memories. Their old life was over, and this one would be something new. Rezane also noticed that the Naviat's power was severing the connection of communication between him and Voreten. " Well I guess this will be for the better. Voreten will never know that I exist." Then, just as Rezane saw Voreten was about to loose the last bit of memory that he had, his voice rang out to him. "Rez? Am I going to be okay?" his voice was frightful. " Yes," he answered " As long as I'm here."

[Task 1] Voreten was standing at the window that looked over the back garden, a line of bed sheets all strung together in his hands. Normally, Voreten wouldn’t be taking such a risk, especially at such a late hour, but he was secretly looking after a little lost duckling in a secret spot behind the house. He would have told Shane about it, but he hadn’t been living here long enough to know if he’d understand. Voreten didn’t want to take the risk that he wouldn’t, so he decided to risk himself by slowly climbing down the back of the house. Taking a deep breath, he opened the window to hear the distant peeping of the duckling. Nodding his head, he threw one end his makeshift rope out the window and tied the other to his bedpost. Then, slowly, Voreten began to lower himself down the back wall of the house. He’d seen this done on television many of times, but didn’t realize the amount of strength it would take for him to hold on as he climbed down. Strength that, unfortunately, Voreten didn’t have. No sooner did he get out the window that his arms gave way, and Voreten’s body began to plummet towards the ground. Voreten was unconscious and enveloped in a pillar of fire before he even had time to scream. What quickly fell into the bush on the ground wasn’t the body of Voreten, but instead was that of a very baffled Rezane, twigs caught in his wings and hair. Looking around he realized that he was in a hedge, the sound of a very startled duckling was heard a short distance off. Rezane knew about the bird because he had appeared once while Voreten was looking after it. The little duckling had eventually warmed up to Rezane, and allowed him to take care of it when Voreten was away. Rezane didn’t mind the fact that Voreten was looking after a bird, as it hadn’t been the first time, however, looking up at the string of bed sheets that hung over his head he decided that this couldn’t go on any longer, so he walked over to where the now less startled ducking was and picked it up in his arms and tightly held onto it. Then, leaping into the air, he gave a few powerful flaps of his wings and lifted himself up into the air. He was going off to deliver this little duckling to a caring family. As they soared higher and higher the duckling quacked in approval. It was in its nature to fly, so it wasn’t afraid of the heights that Rezane was soaring at. The two of them flew over houses and some taller towers and through the rest of the urban landscape, until they reached a more rural area, with cottages and lakes and the like. Eventually the two of them touched down at a fairly large lake just as the sun was starting to set. Because of his celestial embodiment, the fact that Rezane touched the duckling left no traceable imprints on it, so any family wouldn’t be hesitant to adopt the duckling. On the contrary, they’d be more than happy to accept the duckling because it had recently been in contact with a celestial body. After a few minutes of exploring, Rezane finally found a happy family of ducks that were playing among the reeds; slowly he set the duck down into the water and watched as it hesitantly joined the group. At first the ducks didn’t take any notice of the newcomer, but after a while they slowly integrated the little duckling into their group, taking almost no notice of Rezane at all. Finally free of that little burden, Rezane was just about to take off when he spotted two figures coming towards him. When the lighting got better, he found it to be a couple of guys that were in a deep, and slightly heated conversation. “Did it ever occur to you that this might be something that I needed to have a real conversation about?!” One of the voices scolded the other “Well I’m sorry if I don’t happen to share the same views as you James, but that’s just the way it is! I just don’t think I could handle that sort of responsibility!” said the other voice “It’s not a huge responsibility Josh,” argued James “It’s a way of looking after somebody, bringing another life into the house.” Suddenly, they both stopped as the two men took a look at Rezane. His perfect figure outlined by the red sunset was dazzling. However, he could feel himself getting fainter, and he stumbled forward. “Woah, hold on there handsome!” said Josh, catching Rezane as he fell. “ Take him home…” Rezane said, before his body was blown away like ash, and laying now in Josh’s arms was the ice-cold body of Voreten. ***** A few minutes later, Voreten woke to the sound of fire crackling and felt the eyes of two strangers watching over him. He couldn’t move, but he felt warm by the fire and there was something draped overtop of him, like a blanket of some kind. Slowly, he opened his eyes, and took a look through the fire to see a pair of men holding hands across from him, looking at him worriedly as if he was a lost little puppy. However, once they saw his eyes flick open, their expressions changed from that of pity, to that of amazement. “He’s alive!” James exclaimed running over to Voreten, “How are you little one? What’s your name? What are you?” “That other guy told us to take him home,” Josh interrupted “Maybe we should ask him that first.” Voreten tried to make a noise, but his body was still to frozen and numb to do anything else. Instead, he simply looked back and forth between the two men. They didn’t seem like they were bad. On the contrary, they seemed like they wanted to help. This cheered him up a bit, so he closed his eyes momentarily while he waited for his body to warm up by the fire. It wasn’t long before Voreten was sitting up on the ground, beaming with gratitude towards the two men. He still had no idea how he got here, but in the distance he could hear the specific peep of the duckling he had rescued by the pond, and figured it had something to do with it. It was Josh who spoke first to Voreten. “So, what’s your name and where can we drop you off?” he asked, rather emotionlessly “I-I’m Voreten,” said Voreten a little nervously. “Aw! He’s so cute!” Exclaimed James “I live with my dad, in the city. His name is Shane Foster.” “I’m James, and this is Josh,” said James “We’re here on a…vacation at this cottage. We’re really from Australia, but we don’t speak like they do there.” Voreten looked at the two of them strangely. He’d never seen guys hold hands before, or look at each other tenderly like they did. It must be a strange place, this Australia. “We can take you home in our car,” Josh said getting up and walking over to the car that was parked just a few feet away from where they were. “I’ll look up the name S.Foster in the directory.” James then went over to Voreten and helped him to his feet. “There you go hon. Brr…you seem awefuly cold. Why don’t you keep that coat? It looks good on you.” Voreten looked at his arms, as they extended through the coat, and found that he couldn’t even see his hands through them. “Umm…the sleeves are a bit long sir…” he said meekly “Don’t worry about it!” James laughed, “You’ll grow. Hey Josh, doesn’t he look adorable in that?” Josh looked over to see Voreten and James walking up to the car, and couldn’t help but chuckle a bit to himself. “Yeah,” he admitted, before getting in and starting the ignition. It wasn’t long before Voreten was safely in his room, with a new coat hanging from the closet. When he returned, Shane thanked the both of the men earnestly, but then quickly ran back inside the house when he found out that they were from Earth. This gave him some suspicious looks, but besides that the couple didn’t notice anything else that was odd about Shane, and that was fine by him. Voreten was promised to have a long talk with Shane the next morning about safety and honesty amongst them, but for now, he was just happy Voreten was home safe. Back in the car on their way home, Josh turned around to James and nodded. “I’ve changed my mind,” he said “I think adoption is a great idea.”
