Note we have not moved into the new house of as yet 2/19/07. Due to both Fox and I are currently in other RP's and are wanting to finish those up before the move.
As you walk along Dusky Trail one of the many paths from town to the beach you come to a Y take the left path it heads to our house. Or if you are so inclined you may drive just take Scenic Drive from town turn onto Oak Tree Lane and take the first gravel drive on your left after the big curve. Follow it to the end. Both ways will put you into a large clearing surrounded by trees on 3 sides with many flowering plants in the open clearing.
At first you may not notice you are looking at a home at all but just a cut out piece of rock or possibly a nicely carved opening to a cave nestled into the face of the rock in front of you. But take a closer look among the trees and plants there you shall notice there windows above you. (if you got close enough to the windows you would notice several protection charms are carved into the wood around them).
Now step into door way and you will see it is actually an entrance way. It curves around a bit leading to a nicely carved door with dragons and symbols of protection carved into it. Yes this is our home among the rock and stone (All are welcomed here. Please knock before entering. No one shall cause harm here.) ((Please PM a resident if you have something in mind that goes against the harming rule))
Living Room
When you step through the door you enter a large 2 storied domed room with a loft that expands the upper sides and front part of the second floor. Stone steps have been carved into the left side of the wall with a large carved out book self under them that hold an expanse of different items varying from different size pots and vases to glass paper weights and carved wooden animals along with several carved and ceramic dragons. The room is done in soft natural shades though the walls have been left to show the natural brown stone while the floor has been carpeted in a rich dark tan. A soft large plush tan sofa several shades lighter then the carpet faces the carved stoned fire place along with two over stuffed sage green chairs. The room is neat open and airy. Recess lighting (here and throughout the house) gives the room a nice glow. Several candles are placed about the room.On the right side of the room you shall notice a bar that separates the living room from the kitchen.
Kitchen
The kitchen is not large witch lends to its coziness. The all new appliances are done in a dark black. The cabinets are made of a dark cherry wood with high gloss polish. The bar is large enough to sit four tall bar stools sits in front of it. The counters are done in a rich tan and cream tile the back splash is done in large sage green tiles to compliment the living room.
Dinning Room
The arch door way from the kitchen leads into a small hall way. The open arch door way in front of you leads into the dinning room. Nicely carved shelves have been carved into two walls that hold brightly colored earthen ware dishes. A large table that can hold up to 20 people when fully expanded is made of a dark rich cherry wood, dragon heads have been carved into the middle of each leg there tails wraps around them moving upward and over the top of the table to combine into a Celtic knot in the center of the table. The table is definitely is is the focal point of the room along with the ornate carved chairs. Two wrought iron chandeliers lords hangs above the table that has been pushed together to only hold 8 people at the moment.
Herb Room
The left closed door leads into a room with many shelves and cabinets. There is a sweet but strange aroma that fills the air here. Dried and drying plants are hanging from the ceiling. Bottles filled with liquid and other herbs lined the shelves along with earthen bowls and glass carved blows fills the cabinets. Two work tables and a desk share this space along with a small wood burning stove and a fire place with a big colander hanging in itin rich gelds with brightly colored needle work done on each perfect.
The door across the hall opens into the pantry and storage area where the extra chairs are stored. Several jars of canned fruit and veggies lines the shelves along with other food.
Study
From the main room you may take the arch door way next to the book case into another small hall. Here on your left side you will find the study. Books lined carved stone bookshelves on 3 sides of the wall. There are plush pillows to sit on, along with a large desk and leather chair. A warm fire burns in the fire place that sits infront of a mural of a dragon a lady and many fairies, the walls in this room have been smoothed down and painted a rich burgundy the accents are done gold with brightly color highlights though out. The floor has been covered in a light hard wood floor.
Half Bath's
Can be found off of this hall and off of the den down stairs.
Family Room/Den
Family room/den
The door arched door way at the end of the hall leads down a set of stone steps. Below you will find the steps open up into a large room painted in a very light shade of rich tans and browns. There are several over stuffed chairs and a large stuffed sectional done in different shades of blues in front of a big flat screen TV on large wooden self next to the TV are movies upon movies. Scattered about on the floor you will find several pillows to sit on. A large table occupies one corner of the room perfect for games or what not. Several chairs and a thick white rug lays infront of the fire place. The room is cozy and warm feeling.
Off of this room you see a door that leads to the wine cellar but also another door, if you were to take it you would find yourself in another hall way with several doors. Most of these rooms are of no importance (spares for whatever) to find descriptions for these rooms see special room selection in next post
Wine Cellar
One door leading off of the family room leads down another short flight of steps opening into a large cool room. Bottles of wine hangs on wine racks.
Courtyard
Lets go back to the main living room once again before heading up stairs. Take the glass door on the far wall (several protection charms have been carved into the outside of this one also). Opening it you will find yourself in a natural large courtyard with tall stone walls. The sound of water falling from the water falls on the back wall can be heard. It falls into a natural pool the blue green warm water is about the size of a nice in ground pool the back part is extremely deep leading down into an underground river before running out into the ocean. But the front part is shallow. Several tall blooming trees are scattered about along with plants and flowers. Wrought iron chairs and tables sit among the flowers and trees. along with a hammock that makes a perfect spot to curl up and relax.
Servant quarters
One door can be found in the side of one wall a set of stone steps leads down into a nice size room. It is finished quit nicely. There is a bed with warm blankets a table with two chairs along with a desk a chest of draws and a closet. A fire place gives warmth to the room.
The Loft
Lets go back inside and up the steps. Running in a u shape around both sides and the front of the upper living room is a loft area. The only windows in the house can be found here in the front the view over looks the front yard. Several chairs a plush rug sits up hear. You have two doors one on each side of the loft both leads into there own hall way.
Master bed Room suit and Fox’s bed room
If you take the hall way that is located closest to the steps it will lead you to the master suit on your left. The room across from it on the right is Fox’s there is another room on the right side that is a guest room and a large bath room sits at the end of this hall.
