the edge of the fire countrys forests this is a large cave leading into waterfall caves (to get to fire from waterfall go through these caves)

Soren wandered around for a long time simply thinking. They thought they were weak. All of their village had gone off to the exams and this is what was left? How many times had they won against them? Then the akatsuki.... and the sand ninja.... and the black ops.... it was just too much. Soren began striking the nearest tree over and over. Training. Trying to crush the thing with his bare hands.

Soren continued striking the tree. It must have been five minutes or so but the tree looked as if it had been taken at with a dull hatchet. His strikes were showing their affect.

The aggressive treatment was taking it's toll. The tree was almost half crushed through but was getting harder to hit. The wood pulp was increasing the density of the tree and on top of that the wood seemed be slowly turning a pinkish color.

A massive kick was all that it took to level the rest of the tree sending it crashing down. Soren huffed trying to stay on his feet now. Looking at the base were the tree had been fallen he could see the pink had turned red in the wood. Looking at his hands Soren saw why, his knuckles and fingers had been laid bare, stripped of flesh and he hadn't felt it. Sitting down and pulling some tape out of his pouch he began to wrap them.

Soren laid slumped against the tree not really caring about the world until he heard a voice.
"HEY! What did you do to my tree you b*****d?!"
Soren turned and looked through the haze in his eyes. It was a boy. About his age. Waterfall ninja. Genin probably. Drop out also since he was here. "Get out of my face or I hurt you." Soren sputtered.
"Sound ninja? And you broke my tree!" The thug threw a shuriken at Soren's head that he barely dodged, recieving a stripe on his cheek for his effort. Now things were personal. Rising up he held his hands out with blood seeping through the bandages and got ready.

The Waterfall Genin rushed him. Obviously a bully relying on strength instead of skill to get what he needed. Soren thought maybe he was a bully at times but much smarter than this idiot. The thug got the first hit slamming Soren back into the tree stump and getting his shoulder sliced open on the shuriken immbedded in it. Watching as the ninja bore down Soren kicked upward. Side Splitter!. His kick landed below his opponents right arm and sent him sideways gasping in pain and feeling his arm jerk as Soren rose for the offensive.

With his opponent off guard Soren used the stump to spring up and slam a fist into his nose. He felt the Genin's nose break under the force of the hit and sent him backwards as he prepared to strike again before realizing that the b*****d had stabbed a kunai into his arm. Pulling it out Soren rushed in but flanked him quickly. The guy was to slow. He hit is chest this time doing no more than irratating him and sending him back still holding his nose.

The Genin by now realized he was in trouble. "b*****d! Get out of our country or you'll be sorry!"
Soren heard only white noise and felt the dull thud in his arm where he had been stabbed. Jumping forward he struck his opponent in the chest with both legs as he spun around. Typhoon Spin!. It wasn't much but it was enough to get him to the stump and prepare for any counter attack.

"What's your problem?! Why arn't you in the Chunnin Exams anyway?" The Waterfall nin screamed.
That caught Soren off guard which was something his opponent took advantage of. Soren saw the Kunai moving towards him but didn't duck in time, the blade sank deeply into his shoulder as his opponent laughed before the wire slashed across his face destroying one of his eyes. That caused him to scream as Soren pulled the wire back into his hand and pulled the Kunai loose.
